Hi there folks.

Well I should have by now posted a Trip report from our September trip to Walt Disney World. However, life being life, that didn't happen. What happened was Robin had an attack of what we call in the UK, the Lurgies. This resulted in a trip to the ER five days before we were due to travel. I don't want to violate the Hippa Laws, well I do but Robin may lacerate me in unfriendly places if I do. However, I can say that Robin was too sick to travel and we had to postpone the trip to November 8th. And the decision was proved right when Robin was then struck down a couple of weeks later with Hyper really bad Lurgies and had to have two operations or as they nicely call them procedures these days and a week in an hospital bed. Now you may be happy to know that Robin has made a super duper recovery and is ready to get to Florida to make use of those wonderful Magic Bands.

However, we are going to Scotland next week for a week first. We had our first grandchild born a couple of months ago and we need to go and do the whole grandparent thing. I was told in the Dentist that our GD was born and I'm not too ashamed to say that I cried. I had to let someone else go before me, of course everyone in the waiting room just thought that I'd seen the bill, so wasn't perturbed by seeing a grown man cry.

So we get to go to Scotland, back for a week and then off to WDW for a full week, with Paula Robin's sister and our personal book cover designer alongside the Mighty Wes her husband. I'm thinking of taking the PC and doing a daily Trip Report, I don't think, I've done that for 10 years. It's getting harder and harder to sit down and write TR's after I get back. Having two jobs to pay for the trips doesn't help. Robin has five.

So I'm going to try to do the daily thing again, it should be easier with Wifi everywhere. It's our first trip with Magic Bands, with the changes I've got three of them, I'm not sure why. One of them has the name El Poco on it, that's because I was asked by my son and DIL to tell them what I wanted my GD to call me, and Robin decided on Mimi and I went for El Poco. I have no earthly idea why, but I thought why not establish it as a concept with a Magic Band in it's honour.

So look out for some TR's next month. BUT I'm not counting my chickens believe me.

Cheers Your Friend Larry from Scotland (Make that Texas.)

(Are you the Larry from Scotland that I use to read about in Sue H.’s trip reports way back when on some newsfeed I think?)

How awful on postponing a Disney trip! But more importantly, glad your Robin is ok.

Touching story about your reaction on GD’s birth. Bring an extra suitcase for the souvies you will buy her. Never too early to brainwash her.

You have 2 jobs, Robin has 5. That doesn’t seem fair.

Mimi is cute, but El Paco? Sounds a little Texan for a Scottish guy.

Please hatch daily trip reports!

Yes that's me. Sue and I first met in the RADP days, you may have read them on there. Or the AOL Disneyboards. Seems a long time ago. Haven't seen her in a while but I'm not going to Disney quite so often. .

Though we just had a trip to Tokyo Disneyland, so mustn't grumble. Robin needs a container ship to take the clothes she has bought for the little one.

Hope you enjoy the reports when they come.

Cheers Larry.
