The dog is BACK from Disney and boy is he tired -Update 6/1 (With Lots of pictures)

We headed home on Thursday May 8th. I usually hate leaving Disney but, for some reason I was sooooooooooooo ready to get home. In fact, I am one who does NOT fly and I was even considering flying home. I was that ready to get home.

I don't know what the lack of luster was this trip but, it was truly lacking. It may have been the fact that we were so far back on the property that my view was the maintance shed, or the fact that it was a LONG hike (or car drive) to the food court. Maybe it was the fact that I feel like I missed out on so much due to the ADRs or maybe it was spending so much time at the kennel(nah, we did that last year). I just can't put my finger on it. We spent more money on this trip than on any other so, I learned that the amount you spend doesn't mean a good time.

I know that alot, and I meant ALOT, of time was spent on ADRs and we didn't even get to HS due to this.

I am already planning next years trip and we will NOT be using the DDP. I know there are several people who hail the DDP and the DDDP as the only way to go, but, I don't go to Disney to eat. I can do that at any restaurant in my town. In fact the food was the same I can get anywhere and so was the service. So, next year we will, most likely, stay off propery, eat several meals off site and just have a couple of ADRs. My bunch is perfactly happy with pizza and burgers :confused3.

Daisy looks cute. I like her coloring. My aunt also has a dog named Daisy. My daughter named her.

Good to know about the DDP. We usually don't make that many ADRs but I'm undecided on the next trip. Leaning towards NOT doing the DDP because it will not save us much if any. And without the plan, I can make ADRs but cancel them if we decide it is too much.

Thank you, she knows she is cute :rotfl2: And my youngest son named her.

I think the DDP is for some, especially if you like to spend lots of time eating, but it just isn't for us. I would rather pay oop and have the option of eating off property too.

Hey Kathy thanks and thanks for reading my report :). We do have two the same age........and we are still sane...........:lmao: We also have a 9 year gap between two of our kids too.

We have never been to 50's nor WC but, those are two places I want to try. We have been to Sci Fi and we loved it. I just hated being tied to the ADRs.

We thought about going back this September but, decided it is just too hot. We will go back in March. We always drive down. It only takes 8 hours and I don't fly...............lol. I couldn't decided between Pop and ASMu this past May but, we had stayed at ASMo in the past and loved it. No so much the ASMu. I really think it had to do with the location of our rooms.

Next year I think the "big kids" are going to skip the trip so we will prolly stay at Pop then. We will go with oop for the food though..lol

My oldest DS says he is just burnt out out Disney  and DD works and goes to college and it is hard for her to get the time off. She loves Disney as much as DH and I.

When we were planning on going this Sept. The Ulitmate Field Trip is who I was planning through. I just don't think I can stand the heat in Sept. When we were there in May it was starting to get hot.

I only have 3 kids but, yes I do homeschool my youngest. My 20 yo(DD) is in college, she is starting her junior year. My oldest DS hasn't made the determination of a life course yet.................lol. So I will not pay for him to go to college and play(bad mama, bad mama........lol) I told him he needs to go and be a nurse, like me  . Don't think that is happening.

I love homeschooling.
