We headed home on Thursday May 8th. I usually hate leaving Disney but, for some reason I was sooooooooooooo ready to get home. In fact, I am one who does NOT fly and I was even considering flying home. I was that ready to get home.
I don't know what the lack of luster was this trip but, it was truly lacking. It may have been the fact that we were so far back on the property that my view was the maintance shed, or the fact that it was a LONG hike (or car drive) to the food court. Maybe it was the fact that I feel like I missed out on so much due to the ADRs or maybe it was spending so much time at the kennel(nah, we did that last year). I just can't put my finger on it. We spent more money on this trip than on any other so, I learned that the amount you spend doesn't mean a good time.
I know that alot, and I meant ALOT, of time was spent on ADRs and we didn't even get to HS due to this.
I am already planning next years trip and we will NOT be using the DDP. I know there are several people who hail the DDP and the DDDP as the only way to go, but, I don't go to Disney to eat. I can do that at any restaurant in my town. In fact the food was the same I can get anywhere and so was the service. So, next year we will, most likely, stay off propery, eat several meals off site and just have a couple of ADRs. My bunch is perfactly happy with pizza and burgers
