The dlpSteve Family Trip Countdown Thread - Rescheduled!

Thanks :)

I can't believe this time next week we'll be there, and we'll be looking forward to dinner at Inventions!

It feels like so long since we've been - we went 9 times in 6 years and then nothing for almost 3 years, I've almost forgotten what it feels like to arrive at Disneyland Paris!

Plan of action will be to go to the hotel (the lovely Cheyenne, our second home) when we arrive so that we can show Lucas where he'll be sleeping as he always likes to know rather than it being thrust on him when it's time to go to bed. Onwards to the parks and maybe a stop in Disney Village at New York Style Sandwiches for something to eat. After that it's to the main park and then I'd imagine Lucas will be leading the way! I'd like to get on POTC but we'll see how it goes.

Just 6 days to go - blimey!!!

Hope you have a great trip, I am sure he will love it.

We go in 6 days too.

Looks like you're going at the same time as us and at the same hotel!

Have a great trip!

:cool1:

my 1st ever trip is in 6 days too! ive got butterflies in the old tummy now!

is there a DIS forum meet and greet anywhere? :goodvibes

Blimey - see you all there!

We'll be the ones with the little boy running around like a giggling lunatic, probably with some cars in his hands. if you see a guy chasing after a little boy shouting Lucas, that's me!

Same here Steve......if you see a funny looking Welshman wearing a leek on his shirt and carrying a blow up sheep chasing after a boy called Elliot then that will be me!

aww, cute!

My daughter is 8 so hopefully I won't be chasing her around, she will be the one sulking because she is not allowed her 5th plush toy:rotfl:

Have a fabulous time Steve and I hope that Lucas has inherited his mum and dad's passion for the Cheyenne and all things DLP. :goodvibes

Thanks :)

Well, we packed last night, but then looked at various weather reports and took out some of the long sleeved tops and packed more t-shirts - the forecast is really good for next week. Yay, Sun!

Lucas is getting excited about going on a 'Big Train' and has also been singing Yo Ho Yo Ho ever since Denise played him the Pirates of the Caribbean music. We keep asking him where he's going next week and he says "Disney, big train, boat, Yo Ho Yo Ho"!!!

:cool1: Have so much fun all of you!!

I hope the sun shines, the crowds go somewhere else and all the attractions are open :thumbsup2

Aww, thanks! Phantom Manor is closed which is usually one of our favourites but we wouldn't to go on with Lucas. Maybe it's a blessing a disguise as it would mean we'd have to go alone which isn't as fun.

Getting last minute things ready - still not decided whether to take the cheap buggy or the Maclaren - thinking the cheap one as the weather is forecast to be good apart from Thursday so we shouldn't have any worry about needing rain covers aside from the last day, and we can find cope for just one day I'm sure!

We leave for Ashford at about 1pm - last bits of packing to be done and then we are off on part 1 of our return trip to Disneyland Paris - the happiest place on earth :)

Thanks for everyone's help and well wishes, and see you in just under a week!

Have a great trip Steve. Hope you really enjoy the first of many as a family.
