Fall 2026 - which week for lower crowds?

Looking at planning a trip in fall of 2026. While it is always crowded, which would be the best week to avoid the extreme crowds? The complete week before Thanksgiving, Nov 15-20,) the week after Thanksgiving (Nov 29 - December 4), or even possibly the second of December. (December 6-11)

It will be just me and my husband. We will do rides but also just want to walk around each park and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere, without insane wait times for rides and quick service food.

If you aren't that worried about ride lines and just want to enjoy the Christmas season, I'd go one of the weeks after Thanksgiving so you can be there during Festival of The Holidays at Epcot. A great festival!

I agree -- I think that park attendance may be similar during those three weeks, but the first two weeks of December will have all the holiday events in full swing. In the past, the first two weeks of December were the best, but attendance has picked up over the years as more guests avoid the heat of summer. Of the dates listed, I would probably go the second week of December; we'll be arriving the 11th.

If you want the lowest crowds this is the week for you.

If you want to wait until all the resorts have Christmas decorations then you need to wait until Thanksgiving week. Due to how quickly December starts next year just like this year (1 day difference). There will be no letup for the first week of December.

One of my best trips (for lower crowds) was in early December. I agree with the PP that seeing Festival of the Holidays is a real high point, at least for me. That would make me lean toward "after" Thanksgiving rather than"before". I hope you have a marvelous trip, no matter when you go.
