LOL...not double checkbook yesterday...just the one, but I did a good job with it. I had a great time shopping though.....the company was teh BEST!!

DS had one today and a job interview, but I haven't heard how that went yet.

Tomorrow I play "mom" and go visit him. Bring him groceries, pick up laundry (just got ours done today, now tomorrow I start his), take him to lunch and to run a few errands. At least I get to visit with him for a few hours.

Mine likes me to Dis...the computer is upstairs and then he has complete control of the remote and can flip through channels every two minutes wihtout me yelling at him!!

Our husbands could be brothers Nancy!!! He loves Monday nights! He can watch Monday Night Football in peace.
Of course I still get the occasional jab Saturday morning he asked me to trim his hair while I was on the computer. As I was standing up he says "don't you want to tell your disney friends you'll be gone for 5 minutes?"

I have to take Paige into school today. Her regular teacher was put on bed rest (she's pregnant) last month and they had a permant sub for her (Until March) but that woman QUIT yesterday without notice!!!! Paige cried the better part of the night. She HATES chamge and gets really attached to her teachers. Top it off with the fact that she had to find out from me after a long day and it was hard. Principal called all the parents and asked them to tell the kids at home. I want to find out what's up with that!!!!

Holy Toledo, folks!!!!! I can't keep you up with you dorks!! Take a couple of days off and see what happens........................

First off, I love "seeing" all of you. I am ashamed to admit that I have a $1400.00 scanner sitting beside that is 4.5 yrs. old. - I used it 5 times and then crashed the computer once and never reinstalled the hardware to get it operational again. (I just take all of my photos to the main office to be scanned.)

I also have the avatars, etc. turned off here on the DIS, so I don't signatures, etc. - it just makes the site load up so much faster..... I know, I know - I'm a dork.

Tell your son I said Congratulations! We don't do our National Honor Society Inductions until the Spring. Grading period just ended here - DD got a 4.0 (taking AP History, Physics with a Lab, etc.)!!! DS (in 8th grade) got all As and a B in math.

Ooooppppps - I have so much to catch up on - got DD's computer up and running - tech came out and restored everything, including her precious Buddy List!! I got a new zip disk drive that actually works. Now DD has to have a fire lit under her butt to get the web up - and fast!!

I cooked a turkey (again!) on Sunday - with mashed potatoes, yams, stuffing, veg. and rolls. Dream and Marilyn, this time there's some leftover turkey, come on over for that sandwich!!

Good morning everybody! Thanks for the coffee Jennifer!! Oh man, ds went thru the "pregnant teacher-multiple subs" routine in the first grade. it was not at all fun!! Poor Paige! Give her a hug from Ya Ya Aunt Jodie ok? I wish I had words of wisdom for this but there is no easy way...just have to slog thru it. I did stay really active in the classroom and sent in little treats to the kids and subs from time to time. Anything to help boost their spirits! Good luck today.

Hey guys, do I use the dot thing too much...you know....these? Someone kind of made a little joke about it yesterday, in a good hearted way, but is it weird?

Kim, I found the picture of me stored on Bob's computer but I don't know how to get it from there to you! I am hopeless! Maybe I will figure out this digital camera and post a current pic of me tonight...might crash the boards though so I will give you fair warning! I'm not a cutie like ya'll are. Sometimes the anonimity of the internet is a good thing!

The house is soooo quiet. I sort of dread facing two sleepover moods at once this afternoon!! Yikes! Hopefully dd will be decent...she is spending the day at the barn with her best buddy!

Thanks for the words of comfort Jodie. As an adult I I'm fine with the change but I'm trying to remember to see this all through the eyes of an 8 year old. We kept her in private school until last year because she is so sensitive and we didn't want her to get sucked up by the public school system. We even moved JUST to be in this school district. Last years teacher was gone a lot because her daughter kept getting ill, plus they were in a portable which was hard on paige's asthma........Now this this year.......I think we are just falling into these bad situation.....this stuff never happens to the neighbors kids. Got my best sweater on, I'm feeling good....time to go be a 3rd grade warrior mama!!!!!

I slept badly Marilyn, despite the light. I kept waking up wondering about Bruce Willis in the film. No scaries though, despite the wallpaper! I think our room is coming along nicely, our disco ball will have to have lasers on it then, don't you think? Do we get a eunuch for grape-peeling purposes or is that too OTT?

Hi Carol! Oooo....I forgot to tell ya'll! I went ornament shopping yesterday for a certain Ya Ya!! I found the absolute PERFECT ornament...can't wait to see the reaction!! Was it you Jennifer who said she found ornaments perfect for so many Ya Yas? I know what you mean! I spent an hour in this Chrismas Store yesterday and I know the lady thought I was NUTS!! I giggled my way through the store!!! What fun!! Are ya'll mailing them now?
