Hmmm... wonder if I could use this "quiet time" to catch up with mothy Jennifer and Karen there :teeth:

Haven't you poked fun at me enough today Elaine? :p

I think the time change has really caught up to me and I need to be up early tomorrow to frost cookies then sit with my mil at the hospital while fil has orthoscopic surgery on his shoulder. They are so silly. They live an hour from us, but are being sent down to the hospital just up the road from us for the surgery, and they tell me not to put myself out  . I probably haven't mentioned, these are probably some of the nicest people you will EVER meet!!! I got real lucky!

See you all tomorrow!!!!

Jennifer...Wintergreen is about 45 minutes from here!!!! Keep me posted...meeting you there would be a piece of cake!!! Oh and don't worry about your kitty too much....when they get out they tend to roam and just when you think they are gone forever they show up whining on your doorstep like they have never been gone!
Elaine...tell Louis I said to behave!!! Hang in there baby ya ya...pm me whenever you need to. I know it's tough. I have been thinking about you and hoping that with all the fun you have to look forward to (and all the plans you are taking care of for Kim;) ) that you will stay busy enough to see you through this rough time. I am here for you....whenever. Check your pm.

I give up. I can't keep up with any of you yahoo ya yas tonight! :p Gee...and to think, a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, I was the number 2 Ya Ya poster.... what is this world coming to!?!? :p

Ooooh! Bonnie, those are some nervy Halloweenie moochers you have there! We don't get any T&T'ers which is fine with me. :) We don't really do Halloween anyway...haven't for years. Cam was uncomfortable with the whole concept of it, so we just switched to our little treasure hunt we do here at the house.

Betty, You are going to be an awesome guest teacher!! I love some of the ideas you presented here!! Writing a letter of introduction to the kids/parents is such a good idea! That will make the parents feel so much better about having a guest teacher I'm sure. :) Cam's teacher had them do a page this year that she presented to the parents at the conferences. The subject for the paper was: How I see myself. Cameron's was a hoot! LOL! I should post it here sometime. :p He's such a weird kid. :teeth:

Jay, That's some typo the church made!! Oh my!! LOL!

Jennifer gave us another Ya Ya'ism...did you guys see it? Goffy=Goofy!! :)

Potato Apolo? Hmmm... yeah. That could work!!! :bounce:

Jodie, I'm so sorry you can't go to Ohio! :( *Ok, where are the cheetos, forks and washcloths ladies? Ready! Aim! FIRE!!*

Jennifer, My FIL had the same type of surgery on his shoulder earlier this year. :(

Sniff, Sniff! I am going to be upset exactly for 10 seconds!!! That mean ole DH. bfeller is coming down to sketti that guy. Get my hopes up!!! Then bam, he bursts my balloon. He wants to keep Jodie all to himself! Who is going to take care of kids!!! That is just details!!!!! Well, that means we are all going to DISCON in 2003!!! Yes, that is right. We will all work on our DH's and go to DISCON in 2003 or better yet we can have mini meet for Ya Ya's. You know we have a zoo in Cincinnati. It is one of the top 10 zoos in the United States. We also have Kings Island. Plenty of roller coasters. Ok, I am now getting over the shock that Jodie isn't coming. But just in case, I will be waiting outside waiting for red civic. Jennifer can you just smack Luis just a little on the back of his head. Don't want to hurt his face. Like Elaine said, he is a cutey. But we are bringing out the big stuff for Jodie's DH. I am thinking 2 bags of cheese puffs and two bananas. Really don't want to use the fork, I understand that the holes are still in Jodie's wall and I don't want to add any more.

I completely understand Jodie. My DH does the same thing. He always has great business trips while the kids are in school and knows that I can't get away then. Then he will go all summer and go nowhere. Maybe your DH will have business here again soon. Lets hope it is summer and the kids can come with you. You just tell him that you are going to KI or the zoo and I will meet you there. It will be our secret. Really, when I went to the Columbus Meet, my DH wasn't too sure about what I was doing. My teens gave me many lectures about safety. Even while I was driving the two hours up there I kept thinking to myself, "what am I doing?" I was so nervous walking up to the Zoo entrance. What if no one but me showed up? I was so pleasantly surprised when I got there and saw a group of friendly looking people standing around in a circle. What a lovely experience.

Elaine, I completely understand about what you are going through. My mom's birthday is coming up in November and my dad's death anniversary was September 17, and their wedding anniversary was October 7. Of course, I go right into my birthday and then the holidays. You were so young to lose your mom. I can't even begin to think about how much it would hurt to lose someone that early. You just go ahead and do what you need to do to get through this time. You know that we all love you and many of us do know the loss that you have experienced. No need to apologize. We love you just as you are.

Uh, so what did you all think about my plans for when I start teaching? Doesn't anyone want to give me feedback? Hey! WAKE UP you bunch of mothy Ya Ya's

I can't believe Jodie can't go!:( That stinks; everyone was so excited.

Kim-are you reading my mind? I was just wondering if Cam-at that peculiar borderline age-was going T&Ting. Mommy's little boy is growing up--strangley Mom still looks so youthful. :) OMG-PLEASE post that essay-if Cam doesn't mind. :):):) I think I'll work on mine..."How lilboo sees herself, by lilboo."

Is Jennifer's cat still making halloween mischief?

I'm still catching up-OH...
Bonnie! I was LMBO at the Hannibal Lecter ROOMMATE FROM HELL! Did you see her-will you see this-she was a RIOT!!!

Betty, I am sure you will laugh at me, but I was a little scared to go to the meet at the Columbus Zoo. I was afraid that no one would show up and that my meet would be a flop. I was also scared to death just to meet people. I have said this before but I was scared to go to my first meet and so afraid to go to Chicago in June I could hardly sleep the night before. Now after driving to Chicago myself I feel I can take on almost everything... well DISCon scares me a little I must admit!

I also had to say Betty that your parents share the same Anniversary as Luis and I do... it must have been a good day to pick to get married :) I feel for you too during this time... you'd think it'd get easier wouldn't you?

OH and who the heck were those holy terrors that just came through and TP'd our sacred home  Last one to say "not it" will be stuck cleaning... NOT IT!!!

Heh heh heh...I will watch for you guys and let you in tonight when you get here...he will be sleeping....what a surprise he has in store huh? Heh heh heh!
Betty, I love the idea of sending a letter home to the parents and love that you are not calling youself a sub but a "guest teacher"...much better visual there! The fact that you also want to get to know the kids better is wonderful. As a parent I would feel very good about my child's "guest teacher"! DS had subs for most of his 2nd grade year....3 different ones! What a nightmare!!! None were as considerate as you!!! Lucky kids...lucky parents!!

Wellguys, I think I am going to retire to my room. I have been so tired today. I will try to not crack my window so much tonight so nobody gets cold!;) Night ya ya's! Sweet dreams everybody!

Well all I am a bit tired... it's off to bed for me!

 Night all :)

Elaine, the anniversary date is a lucky one. My parents were married for 53 years. I wish that you and Luis share that many anniversaries also.

I do believe that some of those goblins are from the CB halloween party. I am going over to ring their doorbell and run.

Who wants to go with me?

Bonnie! I was LMBO at the Hannibal Lecter ROOMMATE FROM HELL! Did you see her-will you see this-she was a RIOT!!!

Yep, and if the roommate didn't do it, the family sealed it for her. They didn't hardly pay any attention to Aaron at all!

I'm rooting for Gwen. Did you notice how he always picks her first?

Hi!!

Just popped in to say Hey real quick and then go to bed. I haven't been feeling too well tonight. :(

Jennifer, I am in Lorain.
A Toledo Zoo meet sounds great to me!

OK, I'm off to bed!! :)
