Thanks for the kind words everyone. My back is better today, but I had about an hour or two that really irked me. Lightning fast emails about a huge project due "asap" when there's no way it can be done. I felt like I was putting out a forest fire with a water gun.... Had to go to my boss about it. His reply: Call it a day. So I did.

Did I tell you all about our big Halloween event? If I did, well, just skip this part. I'll say it again. It's called Trunk-or-Treat and being held at my church. Funny thing is that several weeks ago, they posted a notice in our bulletin. Among the info, they said to bring "candy, gun, treats, blah, blah, blah." Um, gun??? This all happened before the sniper thing, too. I'm sure they got *plenty* of calls telling them about this typo! The next week, the word read as "gum".

Oh, BTW.... Only 2 days left....

Oh Bonnie, too funny! My DD also loves to slam doors. We have been thinking about putting up the door beads that she always says she wants. I don't think she realizes that we will take the door down and then she will have nothing to slam. Oh Christmas can't get here any quicker.

I never check to see who is on. I just come on and talk. Ok, so I do talk to myself at times. But I am so amusing!!!!!!

I know what you mean about trucking in kids from other neighborhoods. I really hate it. Although my Dd is having some friends over tomorrow night and they want to watch scarey movies and then go out trick or treating. It is suppose to be really cold here, so I think that they will end up in the basement. I need to go down later tonight and get out the Halloween stuff and put it up in the basement instead of outside. I just didn't get in the Spooky spirit this year and decorate. I am going to just put some hot dogs in the crock pot. Set out some pretzels and chips with some 2 litres and let them go. They will only be here for 2 1/2 hours. Don't think that I will be online a lot tomorrow night.

Slight rant: My DD's science/math teacher emailed me today to let me know that she has started this quarter out with another missing homework. Quarter started on Monday. I don't know how to get this kid to do her homework. She has figured out the scheme of not writing it in the plan book. She just doesn't take being a student seriously. We have taken away her cable in her bedroom (not my idea to install it/ DH did it) I am going to email teacher and tell him to give her a 0. She deserves it.

Anyone else out there with two opposite children. I must say that it is easier having the child that does his homework and gets good grades than to have a child that just gets by. She has just tested out of IEP and is definitely struggling this year. But if she doesn't do homework then there is nothing I can do. She does not do a lot of social things outside of the school day. She is definitely the child who will always keep me on my toes.

Man you guys, this is such a bummer. Betty, Elaine, Jennifer....I can't come. Seems that my "wonderful" dh didn't take me seriously when I told him I wanted to go with him to meet you guys. He went along with it because he thought I was kidding!!!!!! Did I sound to YOU like I was kidding??? See, he still doesn't understand my relationship with ya'll...he thinks it strange and because it doesn't "fit" into his world...well...it isn't important. He has a bad habit of disregarding things he doesn't understand instead of working to see why someone would find it important. He has his good points...this isn't one of em. "This is a business trip", he said. I am going to be working even on the plane....and who will take care of the kids...and do you know how much this will cost ...yada yada yada. So instead of making a huge issue out of this I am going to let it drop....bad habit of MINE. I hate arguing. Please forgive me for getting you guys all excited and dancin on the tables and doing the hokey pokey and all...I was sooooo excited too. Guess the world will have to wait a little longer for the energy the ya ya's will create when they finally meet. I am so sorry.

Okay small rant... Luis was sitting outside with the candy and then a small while later I went over to look and he was gone... well an hour past and I started calling people to see if he had shown up there by chance. I eventually went next door (don't have the number) on suggestion of a friend and there he was. I was so mad at him for doing that to me. I am terrible with thoughts and I feared something terrible had happened. if he weren't so cute he would be in BIG trouble!

Jodie I am so sorry your dh didnt take you seriously. Man I hate when they do that! Why would we even ask if we werent serious?? I feel so badly that you wont be able to meet everyone. Dont worry though we will have to plan a meet in WDW for all the YaYa Sisters.

Elaine YIKES. Im so glad everything was okay and he was just next door. My dh always does this in stores and leaves me either talking to myself or to some total stranger because he is GONE. I spend more time looking up and down aisles for him!

Jodie....I'm so sorry, I have a hubby just like yours. I haven't even decided what I'm going to tell him the first time I head out to meet any of you. I totally understand!!

So Jodie, how far are you form Wintergreen? I am starting to plan a summer trip. I think we might go back there or to gray rocks. Of couse with the exchange rate, it may have to be gray rocks this year.

I'd give up on the post race! No ones going to beat Karen this time around!

Have you DHs talk to Luis... he'll tell you all how "safe" I am I guess I am lucky in the meet respect. I told Luis I wanted to go and for a good portion of them, he has come along with me. He hasn't made it to Chicago and I am sure he'll miss a few along the way (like DISCon) but he figures since I am not so terribly trusting, that I will be smart and pick good meets and good people to meet to go to.

Karen, Luis leaves me at stores too... drives me nuts!!! At least at stores I don't worry about something bad happening to him. I am not normally paranoid but given my mindset this week, what he did was not a wise thing to do. He did feel bad though when he saw how shaken up I was by it all.

Maybe if I post like 30 times in a row, I can catch up with the mothy ones on top there
