Yes, my name is Betty. I only shared it with Dan Murphy during the first two years that I was lurking. It wasn't until I went to the DIS meet in Columbus that I revealed my name. I just wasn't real sure about giving out information over the net. But once I made it to a meet, I felt more comfortable.

Those smoothies are so good tonight. Did you add an extra ingredient tonight.

Now for my whine - You all are so lucky that you can even use a pillow. I sleep without a pillow because it is much easier on my back, especially in cold weather. bfeller is soooooooo jealous and hates getting old and rickety!!!!!

Jodie, I had not heard of the nail polish trick but will keep that in mind. I haven't had trouble with chiggers since I was little.

Jennifer must be out looking for the cats. Should we all go outside and yell, "Here Kitty Kitty"? I really hate the thought of her outside looking for cats while we sit here enjoying smoothies. Since she is not here to grab her smoothie and I hate to see smoothies go to waste then I will make the ultimate sacrifice and take hers.

Glad to hear that is was you that I remember at the zoo, Sherry. I sometimes really have to get a grip on my memory. I didn't talk to you much but remember seeing you and your 4 cute boys. You joined us later in the day I think.

Took that for the headache and it seems to be working. It seems I now have two computers too! Two monitors, two keyboards, wooooo....two mouses even. Woopie!

Question... why do vaccum cleaners have headlights on them? I was vaccuming earlier & noticed ours has 2, but one is burned out. Why are they there? It's not like I'll be up in the middle of the night w/ the lights off & decide to vaccum or anything. Or like I'll run into another vaccum. Yes, you can tell it's late.... I really should go to bed... But I'm waiting for this program to finish. Ah, the exciting, cutting-edge life of a telecommuting programmer/analyst.......

Methinks Kim should be sharing her medicine about now. Someone needs to make sure she finds the way to her pillow safely, you know. Don't want any accidents in the home!!

Actually, I think the 4 year old has hidden the kitty and dyed its fur green. Those 4 year olds are very artistic. (Did anyone catch the thread about spray painting a neighbor's dog pink? LOL!!)

Yensid, I have to agree with Michele that the light on the vacuum is so you can see the dirt. I had not thought about vacuuming in the dark, although there have been times that once I have finished vacuuming it looked like I had been in the dark.

Hope Kim's headache is gone today. I was wondering if that kinky perm had anything to do with it.

Ok, I'm back....All Kitties are accounted for. Max is Paige's favorite cat. He's like a puppy. does tricks for her and waits by the door when it's time for the bus to come home. The neighbor let him out about 3. When 5 came along and he wasn't around....I knew we were in trouble.

I finally gave up trying to hang out here becuase Paige went back and forth between crying and sitting on my lap and snuggling. Sigh.....no mom time yesterday!!! Then after she went to bed, I fell asleep sitting up!!!!!

So Max shows up at the door at 2:33 AM!!!!!! Covered in burrs and crude from the woods He got to sleep in the laundry room last night!!!!!

Of couse after settling him in....Emily starts screaming at 5 am that her eye hurts All the Driscoll family is happy and content this morning.....except the mom....I'm tired!!! ***instert whine whine whine here!!!***


Ok, on to comments about last nights gathering..... I will post the truth about the french cuts a little later today when Paige and her friend go to school (1/2 day) as I think about it.....Jay will be able to extrapolate on the true story with NO PROBLEM...but this is a "g" crowd this morning.

Jennifer could have used it last weekend for her mega snorer...I hear these pillows combat snoring too!

Good morning everybody!!! Any news on that kitty yet? Everybody feeling better today? SORRY about the smoothies last night guys! I was feeling a little under the weather myself and crashed early. But just for future reference...I ALWAYS make extra smoothies and leave them on the snack table. Smoothies sprinkled with pixie dust stay fresh a looong time and , heck, we're all friends here...no need to ask, just grab a frosty mug!!
LOL about the "pink dog" thread!! I giggle every time I think about it!!! Poor wagamama is really worried about the legal aspects of the whole thing though. Being the "victim" of barking dogs long into the night....I wish I had thought of spray paint too!!! I vote for keeping the lips zipped, dumping the spray paint can and enjoying the changing colors of the canine as the paint wears off!!!

Sherry...sorry about your lip! OUCH! How did you do that?

Michele, I guess lotion can go bad ...does it smell kinda sour? I'd dump it!

Hey, ladies guess who is home today? I got a call this morning saying that the math meetings had been cancelled and they didn't need me today. I took that as a gift from God and went back to bed. No one was home so who was going to tell on me.

Michele, I don't know if lotion is like wine. Does Bath and Bodyworkds sell any lotion before its time?

Speaking of serving wine before its time, did y'all catch that Jennifer preferred a bottle of merlot last night instead of smoothies. I didn't get offered any wine last nght, did anyone else get the offer? Guess that missing Kitty really drove her to drink. Anyway, it serves her right to fall asleep sitting up since she did not share with us. Did anyone catch the thread about the son who fell asleep right in the middle of talking to his mom. Maybe there was something in the air last night.

Just glad Jennifer's cat came back with its naturally colored fur. After reading about the pink dog, I would watch it when my furbaby comes home(notice how bfeller is using the word furbaby because last week she had no idea what a furbaby was) I agree with Jodie about keeping her lips sealed about how the dog got to be pink. Don't think the neighbor would be too understanding.

Which brings me to Jodie's comment about lights on the vacuum. You don't know how much it took for me not to make a cat comment last night. I was trying to be respectful to Jennifer because her cat was missing but had I known that she was drinking her bottle of wine and then pass out(sure she fell asleep sitting up) I could have had made millions of cat comments. So, thank you Jodie for making the first cat comment. (cat tail in the vacuum)

OK, Jennifer must have gotten out of her sleeping bag on the wrong side at camp. First her DH is in the dog house and now the cat is in the laundryroom. Wonder where she is letting the girls sleep? bfeller realizes that it is time to stop picking on Jennifer Jennifer you know we love you. Maybe you can use the vauum attachment to get the little burrs off of him. Just don't get his tail caught. Sorry just had to get that in.bfeller is in quite a spunky mood today

I really need to get something done around here today, so I must take a break from the DIS for about say 30 minutes. What can I say, I am addicted.

UPDATE TIME...BEFORE IT GETS TO BE TOO MUCH FOR ME TO READ!!!
10/8-10/9 am

Kim had a headache yesterday after assassinating the little black ants that raided her pantry! Then the dog picked on the cat and the other cat got it's underwear in a bunch and the dog and 2 cats started chasing eachother, then Cam started chasing them all....anybody else think it might not have been the ANTS that caused that headache? Cam was very insightful thinking Kim should not be around people yesterday...she might say something she regrets...and offered to stay home another day from school and keep her company!!! "A" for effort there Cam but it was back to school and Kim got some peace! Workout-coffee-dis time....AHHHHH

AGAIN hair was a topic...green hair to be exact! Jodie suggested Kim and Elaine color their hair lime green for discon and Elaine share the story of the one day she intentionally dyed her hair green but came to her senses and dyed it orange the next day! Elaine is quite a colorful woman!

Kim says her cowboy boots are cute thangs!

Kim's package from Dream is not there yet ...Kim is thinking Apolo is in the package and Jeannie thinks Mailboxes Etc. has some mighty diverse shipping options!!

Chiggers were a big topic of conversation and while Jodie itched, everybody else laughed or hoped THEY didnt't get them!! Thanks a heap!!

Jennifer's dd had a mini birthday with a friend

Jay's computer is still caput and now Jennifer's laptop has joined Jay's in the cyber hospital. Jennifer will boot one of her daughters off of their computer tonight to dis. That's right Jennifer...she should be reading a book anyway right?

Jennifer thinks if you get chiggers at camp, her troop will camp at the Hilton!

Jeannie offered a website on chiggers that even grossed Jodie out and THAT is hard to do!!

The issue of the day was: Do you open packages that come in the mail for your dh and the majority said "Oh yeah"! Jeannie was bolstered by our "open it" cheers and the contents of her dh'd package was a pillow which we requested a report of!

Beth/Beauty found our diserhood thread and was wormly welcomed...for herseld AND Kurt, and said she woke with a stiff neck and immediately assumed she had West Nile...Uh, OF COURSE!!! Neck got better so no West Nile! Phew!

Jay's dw is sick and we wished her well and made sure she knew how lucky she is to have Jay

Jay enjoyed Jennifer's 33 women story and let his imagination run wild!!!

Jennifer's dh is 2 steps smarter than she thought he was!

Bonnie took some Nyquil and wasn't heard from again...it was either the Nyquil or the returning of cable tv after a 6 month time out that kept her off the thread last night!

DD was up at 5:00am screaming about her eye hurting but all was fine with the "Jennifer family" ...except for Jennifer. She's tired! Jennifer will post about the french undies after her kids go to school today and the "G" rating is not so vital. She fell asleep sittin up last night after having some Merlot and seems to think the term "sleep tight and don't let the chiggers bite" is comical!
Heh heh...Dream can't WAIT until Jennifer's next campout!!!
