The Divergent Series: Ascendant (the Final Divergent Movie)

This seemed like a movie series that really required reading the books. DD read the books, I didn't. I feel lost when I watch these movies. I did not feel that way at all with Hunger Games or Maze Runner. Maze Runner were pretty amazing in the world of books made into movies to me. It was probably the best "first in a series" that I have seen (excluding Harry Potter, of course).

I think this is true. I read the first two books, but only saw the first movie. They left out so many important things, it lost so much. I can see where someone that hadn't read them would be lost.
The second book I could barely finish, so I quit after that one, and never saw the other films. I haven't heard good things about them.
If they have to recast to air the final film on TV, that is just pointless and they should just leave it alone.

I've read all the books and I don't think they needed to split the last book and I can't see how they will have any material for a spinoff series.
