The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

Hi all... contemplating a 'several adult' stay at DLH and they have various suites available, but none of them say how many BATHROOMS each type has, and they say things like "it could be this configuration of beds OR this configuration of beds OR this configuration of beds" which doesn't help because there is a big difference between "1 King and a sleeper sofa" and "2 queens and a sleeper sofa if every adult wants her own bed.

I am looking at the following room types:

1 Bedroom Family Suite
2 Bedroom Junior Connecting Suite
2 Bedroom Family Connecting Suite

Does anyone which of these has 2 bathrooms?
The 2 bedroom family suite has three bathrooms, if I am remembering correctly. Each bedroom has a bathroom and then there is a small half bath by the living area.

ETA I think the junior has one full bath and one half as well. The one bedrooms usually just have one bathroom but sometimes you get lucky and they have a half bath as well but you can’t request that. So if you need two, I’d avoid the 1 bedroom

Confirming the 2 bedroom family suite has 3 bathrooms. I think with the 1 bedroom suite you might get 1.5 bathrooms but it isn't guaranteed.

You could also consider getting 2 adjoining rooms. That way you definitely get 2 bathrooms.

Can someone confirm a claim I heard elsewhere on the Internet? I swear I read that the security entrance to DTD nearest the DLH (near the sorcerer’s hat) has a separate security line for Early Entry guests that opens at 6:45 am. Is this accurate? Just want to know how early I have to get my family up and moving in the morning!

We will be staying at the DVC tower for 5 nights. Is there a grocery type store nearby where we can pick up snacks etc for our room? Is it walkable? TIA

The nearest grocery store is Food4Less, which is a budget format for Ralph’s (Kroger). I’ve shopped there oodles of times over the years on our way home from DLR, as it’s the same product Ralph’s sells… but for less. It’s closer than the drug stores mentioned above and does not require you to go through security.

It’s a mile walk from the property, up Katella. The walk is through a residential area that’s mostly Hispanic. Very safe walk, many people will be out walking, but if you’re not comfortable walking I suggest a delivery service.

Walmart+ will allow you to order anything you’d like to the hotel, no minimum purchase. Sign up for a free trial membership. Vons will deliver for about $10; however, they have a $25 off $75 coupon for your first delivery (with the Albertsons group of stores) if you’re eligible. I’m sure Ralphs/F4L will deliver for a fee as well, and Instacart is also an option.

Since the E-ticket lounge is under construction, does anyone know where they are currently putting club level guests? Which tower? We are staying from the 17th-21st and they haven't announced if the new club will be open yet. Just curious where we might end up. Thanks!

I asked a CM about this a few weeks ago and she said Frontier. But even when the club is in Adventure sometimes people would end up in other towers. You could always call and request Frontier and hopefully you'll get in there.

Thanks I will try for the Walmart + I guess. I do have DoorDash but I have never used it. Wonder if that's available there?

Hello, a few years ago I have had Instacart deliver to the hotel and they have held the items at the bell desk before I got there. Does Disneyland Hotel still do this? I know I cannot order alcohol this way.

Yes - we do it every visit. They will hold everything at the bell desk for you.

Anyone staying at the DLH anytime soon, I highly recommend you don’t stay in the Adventure tower, particularly not floor 9. We just had our first-ever poor stay at the DLH last night.

A cast member stated that there was a flood in the building on Monday … they had these super loud industrial fans running all night on our floor (all outside the hallway and what sounded like in the room next door to us and/or above us??), which made it very difficult to sleep.

Plus, this morning before 8am they began installing drywall right outside our door. Although I understand they are doing construction on this tower (this is where the former club level lounge was located), the “wall” there were building outside our door almost looked like it had to do with whatever flooding/damage happened this week. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it.

Really, really poor experience by Disney standards. They shouldn’t be putting any guests on this floor right now (and I’m not sure what the other floors are like). We also saw industrial fans on the LL of the tower and the main elevator is not functioning.

***I edited my original post to include more details and some different details from what I found out in subsequent conversations with the front desk.

Did they offer any refund or anything? That’s insane

Oh no! I’m so sorry. I would definitely see about getting moved.

Can I ask what room category you have booked? I have a standard view booked checking in 2 weeks from today and requested 2 queens + daybed in the Adventure Tower 😬

We were booked in a premium view room that sleeps five (two queens and a sofa bed). Our room itself was lovely, it was the flooding and construction issues that made the stay very unmagical.
