As many of you know, my family is leaving for our very first DL Trip on Monday. Just wanted to share what happened to me in the last 24 hours:
Friday night I started vomiting and was unable to stop. After several hours of vomiting profusely I asked dh to take me to the ER. A neighbor came and stayed with the kids and we went to the ER at about midnight. I didn't wait too long in the waiting room and was quickly given an IV and Zofran. I started feeling better almost immediately, but they were running some blood work that we had to wait on.
The blood work showed an elevated white blood cell count, so the Dr. ordered an ultrasound. She believed there to be a gall bladder issue. It turns out the issue was not in my gall bladder, but a mass was discovered on my liver. The doctor said they were going to admit me to the hospital so they could do an MRI, etc.
After waiting all day for the MRI, they bumped me until tomorrow. I was feeling much better at this point, so I asked to be sent home. The Dr. agreed as long as I follow up with my PCP following our trip to DL on Monday. I am not experiencing any pain and the Dr. believes the mass to me some type of benign hemangioma. I will give another update after my MRI.
Please keep me in your prayers that this is not something serious and that we be able to enjoy our vacation this week. Thanks!
I'm not breaking my date with Mickey!
