Background: My DF to be, Jennifer, and I have been together for 5 years. Weve done the Sand and Seas together and have stayed at DW on two other occasions. This year we plan to spend some time at DW around July 4th. Jennifer is really excited about the trip and has us booked at Pop Century (Im usually very budget conscious) for accommodations for the trip and has us eating dinner at the Flying Fish on the Boardwalk for night 2 (Proposal-Day). Granted, the Flying Fish wouldnt be my first choice for P-Day, but I would like to pop the question on July 5th for sentimental reasons and shes already booked the reservation and I dont want to raise her suspicions by changing the venue to the V&A, California Grille or something like that.
So heres the plan:
Well get back to the room after a day at Animal Kingdom and MGM to shower before dinner. Unfortunately, Disney will break it to us that there is a leak in the room above us and that emergency repair work will need to be done. Ill complain and they will tell us that we should pack up our stuff and they will move (and upgrade) us while we are at dinner.
With that well head to dinner at the Flying Fish. Gary at the Fish will have recd a dozen long stem roses with little ribbons attached to each of them during the day. I will casually (hopefully) pass him the ring at some point and he will attach the ring via the ribbon to one of the roses. After we order dessert the waiter will come around and hand each of the ladies at the tables around us one rose (with Mr. Hs compliments). When he gets to our table with the last rose with the diamond (again hopefully) he will hand it to ME, I will take one knee and pop the question!
Well finish dinner and take a stroll around the lake to the Beach Club where our bags have been moved and champagne, rose petals and chocolates are waiting.
*note Disney is not upgrading me for free, so please dont get that idea.
How does this sound? Does anyone have any suggestions to improve upon the plan? Or have I missed an important detail? Advise welcome.
