i mean, its a great idea, we use it, but after they changed it (appetizers not included, tip not included) its just difficult.

i wish they had a counter service dining plan. like three counter services a day. that would be awesome.

We did it last year and it was amazing. Agreed that it's stupid now it's changed. We came to the conclusion we'd only do it again if we can get it free (which we did last year.) We thought it might be slightly better if you could choose to have either an appetizer or a dessert.

me and the fam have never done the disney dining plan....
but when we go in september this year....we will be doing the deluxe dining plan.
which includes...three table services a day including everything but soup and alcohol lol and 2 snacks a day!!
I cant wait im so excited
I have to agree tho its to bad tips cant be included at a somewhat discounted price instead of like 18%!!
its a lot of food and i cant wait!!

We've used it the past two trips, but we're not using it again.
After they took away the tips and apps, its just not worth it.
It makes it really hard to plan because we HAVE to have a certain number of sit downs and then meeting up with other people is hard. Its like, oh, well, we could go hang out with you, but we have a reservation in a diff park. So we HAVE to be at a certain park everynight, and if we want to hang out with other people, we HAVE to get park hopper.

Next year, I think we'll make two or three reservations, and just do counter service for the rest of our food.

Yeah we did the free one. It was horrible even then. It's just a bad idea.
But we're annual passholders and we get the DDE the Disney Dining Experience which is like...a credit card but it saves you money on meals. THAT'S a good idea.

We used to do it before. Sometimes we had wayyy too much food, but it was worth it to try a lot more of the more expensive restaurants.

Minus the appetizers and tips, it's just not worth it :\

I don't usually have an apetizer anyway so that's fine with me.
I like it because my family likes to eat at all the expensive restaurants so it really does help and saves us heaps of money.
Now if we ate at counter services all the time it wouldn't make sense to get it, but since we frequent coral reef, boma, le cellier etc. It really is great for us. I'm glad they got it.

We use the Platinum Plan which includes the dining plan and I agree...the changes are difficult. Seeing that appetizers and tips aren't included anymore is wicked annoying.

It's worth it for Free Dining but when we paid for DDP a few years back we decided that it wasn't worth it. It'd be sooo much better if it included appetizers.

We used it on our last trip but that was when the tip and appetizers were included now it doesnt seem like that great of a deal but were think on our next trip we may try the deluxe dinning plan as that one includes appetizers and 2 table service per a day

I disagree, Shelby. I mean it sucks that they changed it, but it really works for my family. We have nine people going, and they all live with us. It saves us a lot of money doing the dining plan. We do like it the old way, though, so I agree with you on that.

We got it for free though, so we're gonna use 'em.
