Good afternoon everybody! Hope everyone is doing great today. It's kind of a rainy and dreary day here in Long Island. The sun is supposed to come out tomorrow. Sure hope so.

HollyJoy - Isn't it great to get pampered. I am going Friday night for a fill in and a pedicure. My DDs are also getting manicures for Tessa's communion party.

Sandy - You should definately treat yourself. You will love it. Sometimes we all need to do little things for ourselves.

Froggy - Good to see you back in action. Hopefully your computer will be running smoothly soon!

JKanownik - Happy belated anniversary. Love your way of celebrating.

dhcoffey - How was the concert? My DH would love to see Jimmy Buffet.

Does anyone here watch American Idol? Wonder who will win. I think that at this point it could go either way. Hopefully I won't miss too much of the show. Tonight my DBIL and I have to go to the catering hall and pay the balance for the communion party. I think the show is on for 2 hours so I really only need to see the last half hour.

Oh well, have to go and get ready for the train ride home. Talk to you all soon!

ook i'm giving up,, i'll just keep forcing dsl, the last three times i've tryed to reinstall the stinkin rotton software muck,, ( yeah i still agravated) its forced the comp into scan disc,, hte thorough version that takes 2 hours when u lose 4 hours to scan disc that doesnt leave much timeduring the day for dis ing lol i think its working now,, i got everything else repired now, and since u see this i suppose forced access is working soooo here i go again on my own ,, going down the only road i've ever known


doesnt help that dw is remodeling dd's bedroom and i wanna helpppppppp i am going nbuts trying not to go in there and work she is giving me the nod to design it so i do at leats g et a say in whats goping in,, i'm having a Frank moment and thinking about putting bamboo on her ceiling but dw is hanging new ceiling tile now so maybe not

welol apparently she may not hang tile,, she just tore off the lat layer of old ceiling material,, and uncovered a 90 yr old solid wood plank ceiling under it, that has never been painted or plastered, she may decide to just polyurethane the wood and leave the tile off, who knows,,, if she leaves the wood i am definately accenting with bamboo,,lol,,, this is going to be fun we now have 120 bucks worth of tile to store till we start the next room i guess i'll post pics a s a p... later

Sandy V- you MUST go do it! It's heavenly! The chair I sat in while I got my pedicure was a massaging chair. I got a back massage the entire time! Awesome! It was time. All my nails had grown to the same length, so the manicurist really didn't have much to do on my hands. I just hope I don't break one!

well its official, dd's bedroom going to have a finished raw wood ceiling this old siding is really great looking , its knotty pine and no cracks or water damage showing through, its not all cut up, longer pieces and going to go great with her jungle theme all tweety yellow should dissappear tommorroow and the sky blue trim start turning green, once we gfet that done i get to supervcise building the shelving and her desk yeah she gets a hand built built in desk and wall units, is proudf that dw has taken over and isd confident enough to build furniture either i a good teacher or shes a goodstudent one definatelyk going to be an interesting room,, jungle theme with purple accent pieces, and buterflies and tigers how well i manage to get a purple butterfly covered comforter to tie in with tigers and jungle theming is still kinda iffy but i'll get it i hope..lol.. i have afew ideas with the window treatments a nd the shelving unit placements that should help, and she hasnt seen em, but i have a bunch of butterfly stickers in purple that i'm going to use on her mirrrors and tv and stuff, a lil touch of color here and there ok gonna go check out progress, see what else they have uncovered later

Good Evening All!

Good grief! Somebody keep me out of the Disney Store! I went shopping with a friend today, and once again stopped in the Disney Store. This time I bought myself something! They have the cutest pajama's, capri pants with a shell top, for only 12.99! One is tinkerbelle, and the other Eeoyre (sp?). I couldn't not buy them! Also picked up one of the beach towels for 7.99. They have some really great buys right now!

Oh my goodness, so much catching up to do!!! See what happens when I stray away from the boards for the day?!?!?!

Let's see, oh the dance - Well DS said it was boring!!! Funny though, I walked in two songs before it ended and he was dancing with a group of his buddies, so that was cute, almost brought tears to my eyes seeing him so "grown up". I did not catch him dancing with any girls but he said the one teacher made them couple up and do one slow dance. He didn't complain about it so obviously it wasn't too bad! I do know that he didn't get paired up with the girl he "sort of likes".

We were in the car today coming home from his baseball game and we were talking about how his father and I met and who asked who out. I told him that his Dad asked me out. He said "That's so unfair that the girls don't ask the boys out (little does he know) and we have to do all the work". Hmm, I think there's a crush that I don't know about here!

About those pedicures - aren't they great?!?!?! I had one Saturday and oh so relaxing!

I'm feeling better - thanks for asking! I think it was just stress that pumped up my blood pressure but I'm still having it checked daily.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am so ready for the weekend. Today I thought it was Thursday. I hate when that happens!

Ok, I guess I'm going to wrap this up and get my clothes ready for work tomorrow.

Annette - I'm glad you're feeling better. It does sound like you had a lot of things going on all at once! It sounds like your son's dance went well and that he had a good time. Don't you feel like a police officer grilling a suspect sometimes? And all you get are one-word answers back!

My son (14) let it slip last night that he's been "going out" with this girl he likes for a week. Their 8th grade graduation dance is next Thursday, so we'll see how that goes!

Holly - I AM going to get a pedicure and a manicure soon. The massage chair sounds so divine - although I'd probably fall asleep in it and snore! Did you get acrylic nails, or a manicure on your own nails?

Carole - good luck with the party. Hope all goes well!

Jolie - I keep forgetting to ask you - is your son in kindergarten this year, or will he start next fall?

Yardbird/Debbie - I'm glad you bought some cute things for yourself. Don't you have a trip to WDW coming up next month?

Froggy - you and your family sound VERY busy with the remodeling of your daughter's room. You have lots of creative ideas! I saw from other threads that your daughter's been a little bit of a "challenge" lately. I can sympathize!! Also - continue to get better, okay?

Sandy, my son starts kindergarten this fall. He is SO excited that I'm afraid the summer is going to be a LONG one! Better that he's excited than dreading it, though!

Jolie, yes, be grateful that he's so excited about it. It makes for a much better start to his school "career".

I was much more anxious and sad about my babies starting school than they were. They were ready to go. I kept thinking, "I JUST CANNOT BE OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE A SCHOOL-AGE CHILD!" And now, according to my teenagers' mentality, I'm just the dinosaur with the wallet and car keys! And like Annette, they don't think I can dance either!!

But when a 16-year-old still wants to sit in your lap, then you know you must have done something right!

I know exactly what you mean, Sandy! How my son has reached school age so fast is beyond me! I'm training him well, though. If I ask him who the old one in the house is, he always says, "Daddy."

Jolie C- That's right. Dad is the old one in our house too My daughter will be strting Kindergarten this fall. Being a SAHM, it makes me sad, but I have to look at it as on to something new.

Good Morning All!

"Old" is a state of mind don't ya know?! My oldest grandson will be starting kindergarden in the fall, and it seems like only yesterday that it was his Daddy's first day. I cried.

I had my first pedicure recently, only because I had a gift certificate. I actually didn't think I would like it....I loved it! The heat message while your feelt are in a whirlpool is devine! My first will not be my last!

When my son was a teen, he never really talked to be about liking girls, and then one day I turned around and he was married! How did that happen?! When has was five, he always said he was going to hook his Dad up with some woman named Diane, and marry me! LOL
