The DisFort's Chit Chat Cafe

Man this week is just cruising by quickly. This afternoon I need to run out to the shop and get the truck and trailer inspected. As anyone who has to take RV for annual inspections knows that is never an easy task.

While I am there I am going to speak to our body shop. DW and I have decided to fix good ole Oscar up a little for Lauren. The front bumper got damaged years ago by fox or racooon hit (she cannot recall), and the hood is all chipped up from decades of driving. So I am going to invest a little to fix it up (which is something she asked for). We drop the car off next week while she is on a school trip.

Then I need to start working on the yard work around here picking up the storm damage. I am kind of looking forward to it. Usually a bit of work in the begining, and once I get the initial weeding and mulch down its pretty easy to maintain for the summer.

I was just reading about the storms. My heart goes out to all of the effected. Hope the front breaks up a little so the storms are less intense.

same front came through here with soaking spring rains making today and indoor project kinda day. So now going to spend some time working in the garage getting things organized and finishing the 3 leafs for our table.

Storms down south and Palmer Candy factory up north sad times all around.

Now there are reports that a Tiger in a zoo not too far southwest of ATLANTA is missing. News reports indicate that the authorities suspect the big cat may have escaped thanks to severe weather conditions in the area.
Does anyone know if Bert's Feline Allergy is still under control ??????

When I read about the enclosureand escape I just had this mental picture the handlers shaking a bag of cat food saying "here kitty kitty". Glad they been captured and safe back at the zoo.

This weekend was fruitfull, I made some progress around organizing the garage, on the refinisishing work on Saturday. Sunday I got to work on the yard since it was so nice. No mowing the yard is too wet/soft from the rain. But I was able to saw out the zero turn and tractor. The tackle picking up all the storm/dead fall since last Spring. We been in this house for 4 years, ever year I take a trailer load of storm/dead fall to to the yard wase facility. I am not sure why this year I thought it would be any less. Yet once I got outside that I filled the 7x10 utility trailer and I still have some pruning to do. After I am done with the yard work, the traler is going to get broken down repainted with roll on bed liner, and a fresh wood deck as the current one is rotting out.

Tembur, I love the shower!! You did an excellent job.
Kris, The main reason I decided to sell the Toyhauler, just not fun without Grumpy Aggie plus I was 90 miles round trip for the Church & I was there at least 3 times a week. Now I am 21 miles round trip. My Son wanted me in a safer place & closer to him. I am very happy here. The fur babies have adjusted & no stairs. I have worried about the tornado in Mississippi & Alabama. So good to see Mrs. PAHunter.
Everyone stay safe!

Spring is kicking hard in good ole N. VA. The grass has gone from waking up to, I think I need to mow it this week. Guess I should spend a little time sharpening some blades and making sure its ready to go.

Only a few more days and I am off to the track, followed by our famcation to sunny San Juan. We are all getting excited about that. I plan to get most of my packing done before I head to the race weekend. SCCA Majors (nationals) at Summit Point this weekend.

Even got some WDW/FW planning done. DD got accepted into the teachers for tomorrow summer camp, so I booked the girls (DW, DD) flights for Satuday evening. They loose a Disney day, yet we think it will be great for her. Our youngest DD will ride down with me so we will make the best of it together.

That will be nice, @jbrostek. There were two trips to FL in past years where DW had to back out to look after sick/aged family members but me and DD went to the FL Keys (via the Fort of course) and then to Blue Spring State Park north of Orlando where the manatees winter in the St. John River. I think we did a Disney Springs visit but no parks that trip.

Glad everyone's transportation can be worked out to be there for most/all of the time.

St Louis west koa on 11/10 is the best I can do
That's not bad. We have stayed at that KOA a few times. Close to Six Flags and there are some good restaurants just down the road in Pacific. Our friends that full time were considering a work camper job there, but ended up in North Carolina instead.

November down here can be a little weird on weather. Could be 75. Could be snow. You'll be all settled into the weather routine with the new coach by then.

Safe travels.
