The DisFort's Chit Chat Cafe

@tiggerdad I thought about that for something else and I think I might start to go the route of @Part-Time Paradise and install a Victron charger/inverter with the goal of adding 200ah of battery as a start. I think if I was doing a long trip west I would want that so I could HH or boondock for a night on the way without always needing a campground.

I do have some plans that require me to semi drop the underbelly this spring. I am going to move forward with adding a few LED backup lights, two in the rear most of the rig and two under/behind the axle on both sides. My last RV had the backup lights which was a help, but I struggled to see the wheels in really dark campgrounds. I think some lights hooked up to the reverse would be perfect for me so I can see them when backing in.

If you want some thoughts on the inverter or making the LED Install potentially easier, shoot me a PM. I installed LEDs on my last rig and used relays to increase flexibility in where I wanted the switches. 🤓

I am planning the same. To add them with a pair of relays so I can activate when in reverse and override it through a switch likely mounted by the leveler.

Ok, since we are stuck home, kid has covid. And no camping, I have decided to maybe rebuild my train set. So, while not fun for most, its fun for me. Some here like trains, so I may post some pictures along the way. This will take months if I decide to do it. I have tons of trains, mostly older lionel 0 scale stuff. Some newer things , and tons of everyrhing else to make it cool. Yea, im a nerd.

No where the train buff like Ed, but I had a bunch of HO stuff set up on a ping pong table when I was a kid. Had lots of fun working on the wiring, troubleshooting everything, etc. Dad and I started working on an actual train table. We built out the table frame and laid about 10' of 2x6 to be the roadbed and then never got any further. It sat for 20 or so years in a corner collecting dust until we sold their house this year. Always wish we finished it.

I still have all the trains, track, buildings, etc. My son plays with them some.

Long way to say, let's see those train pics.

PS. I was bummed when the train wasn't set up in Germany/EPCOT when we were there this summer. I hyped up DS for it and it was a bit of a let down. Are the trains set up now?

PS - my RR (needs a new name since I moved) has some new freight cars.

Ugg, I have saw some mention it, but up north there is plenty. I think its just a supply issue and not a shortage. Sort of like when I went to the grocery store today and there was no bread. Im sure other places have bread.

My WalMart and Sams have plenty. Both Blue DEF and the cheaper generic stuff. Have you checked the truck stops? Half the time I just fill up when I'm getting diesel on the road.

And March is a long ways off in the supply chain world.

Haven't tried wal mart yet, at our 2 local truck stops only 1 has bulk, no boxes or jugs, blaming it on the trucking industry, not sure if they meant hoarding it or supply chain. on the Montana RV board, they are posting pictures of empty shelves. hopefully back to normal soon, I will try wal mart, thanks for the heads up

Hey Spence, Looks like some Sesame Street Fisher Price little people buildings there also?
Lol, yup , good eye. When the kido was younger I made sure to get all the little people and buildings for her. Along with some webbles. The disney weeble set is here somewhere with the monorail. I have been giving a lot of it away to neighbors. Some of it is worth money, other stuff not as much. But its feels better to give it to people and kids that will use it. Instead of putting it on a shelf.
