AWWW!!! That is so sweet!! and Lucky that you could keep her in the same shoes for so long! The only shoes Mikalah has worn for more than a few weeks are crocs!

Isnt it wonderful when they are babies? I ADORE babies! The little smiles, and heck... Just everything!

yeah i like babies but i love it when they are still babies and they are starting to understand what you say and are able to motion or make a noise or something that lets you know what they want

I think I will. I am going to try to do everything.

I have ridden it ONCE. I held on to Alex so tight, he told Frelan that he didnt want to ride it with me again.

and yeah im glad she was able to stay in shoes for so long...she never hit a major growth spurt where I had to change everything at once....it was very gradual

I am just dieing over Mikalah..She is talking so clearly, and it just blows my mind!! Alex was a late talker, so listening to her is so surprising to me. Gosh... I am going to miss the heck out of my kids! I keep having nightmares that dh and I just get up and go do stuff at night.. WITHOUT the kids. Like we just leave them home while we go out to dinner. I know its because of this trip.. But dh is a good daddy, and he will take good care if them!

Okay... I will try not to have a death grip on you!

Well... you have seen my dd. She is ALWAYS growing. Alex is a slow grower.. He wore the same size for like 2 years or something. Heck, he is in the same size in boys, that Mikalah wears in girls.

Good Morning Hyenas!

Looks like we need to move again but I dont have time this morning to do it so maybe someone else can if they have an extra few minutes later.

Bernice, first of all That is awesome they carry Bare Minerals at Target now. I seriously didnt mean to doubt you its just I have been wearing Bare Minerals for 5 years and have never seen it there. I'll have to check it out today. Thanks for the information!

As far as makeup goes, I never found anything that works for my skin type. everything was made for people with yellow based skin or made me look way too washed out. I personally think ANY type of MINERAL based makeup is wonderful. My skin has never looked or felt better. My mom's is the same way. And shoot if Melody has this awesome book (that I need to go try to find at a bookstore!) and she uses Minerals makeup then that should be a great recommendation for it.

I now wear makeup everyday where I didnt before because I look much better with it on and its FUN to put on now!

Plus if I fall asleep with it on accidentally my eyes aren't swollen shut from it. Gotta love that!

Today Jeff is home so I am off to do some shopping after I drop my mom off at work. Jake is staying home from school even though he feels better this morning. I'd hate to have him get sick again or still be contageous and get one of the other little kiddo's sick.

Weight Watchers day too so wish me luck. Should be better than last week!

Dh installed landscaping in a friend's yard recently and the guy paid him. Jeff kept insisting that he didnt but the friend insisted back and won so Jeff handed the money over to me and said here is your spending money in Disney, Have fun! he's so sweet. I'm gonna go buy him something with part of it this morning as a thank you because he is so wonderful.

And just to let to you know I am not an authority on mineral make up. I'm trying it out for the first time. I did find i kind of messy, and we will see how my skin does with it. If you buy the book it is HUGE!!! But so much fun. She exposes the claims of many companies that say they were tested by dermatologist and so forth. So much of it is just plain hype from them. She has also written a book called the "Beauty Bible." Gets down to the nitty gritty of what really works for every skin type. And what stuff to look out for that is irratating to the skin. She used to work behind a cosmetic counter at a department store, and was pushed to sell products that she knew would not be good for the customers. So she didn't and got into trouble sometimes. Ultimately this is how she launched her career to try and let the public know the truth. Well enough of this.

I wish I had time to respond to some more to your post, but I have to go.

Moto, I was just thinking about one of your photos, I think it's from your last trip to DL with you mom and grandma? You had long braids, and it reminds me of when my hair was that long. My dad told me once (I think I was around 18 - 20yo then), "I like it when you wear your hair in braids."

I laughed and told him, "That's because I look about 10yo!"

My hair is so long that if I don't braid it it gets so tangled. I even have to braid it at night so I can brush through it in th morning.

I think little kids look so cute with mohawks! Everytime DBF and I go to the races there are always little kids with them.

I've never had my hair "done". I've toyed with the idea of doing a glamour shots kind of thing (way back when everyone was doing it), but I never did.

The day I felt prettiest was definitely my wedding day. My hair was long and a bit curly (that took forever, and it didn't last very long!) and even though I did my own makeup, it looked nice and natural.

They only time I had my hair done at a salon was for prom. My BFF's mom did my makeup. Oh, and I went to prom by myself. I was way shy in HS. My BFF went with her boyfriend and even though all of our other friends were guys they were not the prom going type. I didn't want to miss out on prom so I went by myself. There were actually a few other girls that I kinda knew that went by them selves too so I still had a blast.

I have been drinking DR. Pepper all day. I could be up all night! I know that the caffeine does this, but its just so tasty.

I just has a Cherry Chocolate Diet Dr. Pepper. Yum!

Good morning, hyenas!
Weather, shmeather. Bleah.
But it isn't raining... at the moment.

Walked DS7 to school, and we must have been a bit early because they had quite a lot of time to play on the playground before the bell rang. Normally we're there either on the dot or just a minute or two before (and sometimes a minute or two after...)

We walked home and I made some Int'l Coffee and let DS3 watch Super Why (or is it Super Y?) after he picked up a few toys. I decided to check email real quick before we headed out to sign DS7 up for baseball, and I had a pop-up reminder that DS3's gymnastics class was half-over.

I totally spaced on that class, I don't know why. Ah well.

OH NO! I'm afraid we have a lot of experience with that, DS7 had lots of respiratory issues as a baby (that's why he has the barky cough when he gets a cold today.)

Lynn, I do hope the baby's OK and that it's something that will just go away. (Crossing my fingers it's not RSV.) Do let us know how he's doing!

Glad Jake is feeling better, whew! I always lean toward keeping them home if it's iffy, for exactly the same reasons you mention; their immune system is still weak and they could more easily pick up something else; plus you'd hate to be responsible for sending another family through all that!

I am very interested in that book, particularly the one that details which type of makeup for your skin type/coloring. That would be awesome! Is that the "Beauty Bible"?
