Well, clearly I am not training them properly!![]()
Oh, man. I felt like the world's worst mother this morning. DS3 and I went to his gymnastics class. I wanted to talk with the front desk people about their summer session, but DS always likes to wave to me as they pass by from the preschool classroom to the big gym, so I waited for them to come through.
It seemed to take forever for them to come out, but finally they did, we waved, and then he started walking toward me. I shooed him back to his group, but then somebody said, "I think he said he needs to go potty..." Oh! (He had just gone about 15 minutes before, but WHATEVER!) So I grabbed his hand and took him to the bathroom. He managed to squeeze out a few droplets![]()
, and then I took him back to the gym.
Once he'd rejoined his class, I went to the front desk and chatted with the gal there about summer session, asking lots of questions and got all of them answered. I walked back to the waiting area and saw people getting their kids' shoes on and leaving, and one of the kids I know for sure is in DS's class!![]()
I looked around but didn't see DS, but the one kid's mom says (in this adorable British accent!), "Oh, I believe the instructor took little Collin back into the gym." WHO? OH!
So I went into the gym, and they were just coming back out. I apologized, said I was down at the front desk asking about summer session. She smiled and said, "No problem" and walked away. I walked DS over to his shoes and apologized to him. He hung his head, so I hugged him and said "sorry" again. He just kept his head on my chest, wouldn't look at me, so I kept hugging him, and finally asked him to look at me.
Ohhhh, my. His eyes and nose were all red, and tears were just brimming in his eyes. I felt soooo bad. Bad mommy!!!![]()
