My niece is a bit on the chubby side, and you're right, everything for girls seems very slim. I look for certain styles and certain types of fabrics (with give.)Ugh... Mikalah ate all day today. You know what THAT means, right? When she wakes up tomorrow, she will be taller then Alex.![]()
I wish they made girls clothes as baggy as boys. I have bought Alex a bunch of sz. 6 stuff... and it just hangs on him. WAY baggy. WELL. I thought that would be a good size for Mikalah. WRONG. The sz. 6 stuff for girls? SKIN TIGHT. When I got the money from my mom for my dads estate, I went out and bought a ton of stuff for her. Really.. Like $400. in stuff. It is already getting tight on her! She isnt FAT. Just a wee on the chubby side. I think I am going to ask her DR. if she thinks Mikalah has a weight issue. The last thing I want is her to be over weight, and me not realize it.
Alex... you saw her recently. What do you think?
I love Osh Kosh, and I do find really cute things there, like the overalls, the overall skirts, knit pants, etc. I think they also have slim and husky sizing, so you could look for that in the girls' sizes. And with girls you COULD buy husky boy sizes. I used to wear my brother's hand-me-downs until I was like 7 or 8yo, and I don't know if things are terribly different today between boys and girls sizing, but I think at least for pants you could get away with it.
