The Dis health check in wk beg 4/9

Hi everyone, hope its all going well for you. My weigh day is a Sunday and I lost 1lb this week which was good..... except......... I did a pre-weigh-in check on Saturday and I had lost 2lb :sad2: That will teach me not to weigh in more than once per week! It must have been that extra pea that I put on my plate Saturday night :teeth:

Hello everyone, I have just been to WW and have lost 1.5lbs this week. Have now lost a stone :cool1:

Well done to all the losers :thumbsup2 I am afraid to say I will be rejoining you next week as, unfortunately, having lost 3 stone, I weighed myself this morning to find half a stone has crept back on while I wasn't looking :sad2: With only 4 weeks left until my holiday (give or take a few days), I am going to try very hard to lose that 7lbs plus a bit more.

I am sure you can get your motivation back Joh, you are doing so well :thumbsup2

Haven't posted yet as am feeling more than a little despondent! you are all doing so well and I seem to struggle ALL the time, have been particularly bad the past month or so but apart from that I eat incredibly healthily, no matter what I do I stay the same, am currently around 3 stone overweight but would be really happy just losing 2 stone. Am now in the frame of mind to get back to it again, just need the motivation.

I felt like that but managed to get myself in the right frame of mind somehow...have never managed to before  I need to lose another 3 stone and it seems like such a big thing at the moment

Well done to all you losers out there

I've lost 2lbs this week, so I'm happy with that, still just over a stone to go with 16 weeks to do it in :)

are you going it alone or have you joined up with a slimming club? sometimes the clubs can give you that extra bit of motivation...and keep you honest with your eating habits ;)

none of us find it easy to lose weight so dont feel your on your own :grouphug:
good luck for next week

Well done Mandy - you can easily 'do' a stone in 16 weeks. I am dead chuffed today as I have lost 8lbs this week :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Reckon the Ceroc last night might have had something to do with it. I am going to weigh in again on Monday, purely so it gives me some motivation to keep going over the weekend so I'm not tempted to cheat all weekend and be good all week.

Go to gym, go to a class or something indoors? Swimming? Jog early morning or early evening (when the sun is very low).

Assuming your lasering is something cosmetic... (you shouldn't need to stay in a darkened room for the whole course of your treatment). If you want to do something outside, put a nice high factor sun-protection (30/40/50 spf) on the area that you have had lasered. You should be fine for a 15/20 minute jog (especially early morning or evening). With laser it tends to mean "no sunbathing/beds" not "no sunlight at all" - check with your therapist.

Hi Natalie, no I haven't joined a slimming club, wish I could but unfortunately they don't seem to operate at ten to 8 in the morning, which is about the only time I get to do anything! I have Callum at home every evening from 6pm so theres no way I can go anywhere.

Hi thanks for the reply
I did put sun cream on factor 50 ( i was only sitting in the garden in the shade)
and when i went for my next treatment i was told that i had a tan and the therapist said that i had to stay out of the sunlight for 6 weeks, so i asked if it would be alright to continue sitting in the garden in the shade and she said no.
To be honest the lady isn't very nice.
Hoping to go to rosemary conleys slimming class as need to lose some weight and that also has an exercise class as well.
