THE SUN!! Haven't see the sun since Christmas it seems. I did miss it so. If it weren't windy I would be out there worshipping it right now.

Instead ordered wool sweaters online. That seems sorta wrong. But such a good deal!!

Well, we gots swim class again tonite. Leftover pulled pork sandwiches are on the menu for this evening (and tomorrow)! DH just called 2 min. ago - he's still in one of their VA locations, about to leave...so guess who's driving to class again?! He'd just better be home tomorrow nite in time to take him to the Cub Scout Pack meeting so I can re-pack one more time!

We did a "dolphin thingy" (I'm guessing not the official name) for her 9th birthday at Sea World. Way cool but howdoyousay b u t t c o l d water. Who'd a thunk warm blooded creatures live in SUCH COLD WATER!!! Mein Godt!

Um.. maybe Mommy needs to do older child-Mommy time bonding and Daddy needs to have "special time" with Pirate Girl??? How much time can Linden spend in Flounders or with new found Aunties?

OK - need advice from some expert Moms!

All of a sudden we're on schedule overload! Esp. Tues & Thurs!!!!! Just found notices from school in the backpack this am - 1 is a bookfair on a tues eve - but can "deal with" that if we go there from 6 - 6:30 (dressed for swimming under our clothes) then McDonalds from 6:30 - 7 so we can hit the pool by 7:30 - need that 1/2 hr eating rule, right?! Also 2 notices about "mandatory attendance" winter concerts - u guessed it - 2 of them - both on tues (1/29) & thurs 2/7 (remember, swimming is on tues & thurs - $180 paid for 8 weeks only!) AND Den meetings are every other Thurs!! So we were already trying to juggle which ones to miss of which until we can get thru Feb!! What to do!? We have 1 den meeting (1/24) moved to Mon. 1/28 - but DS & I also have haircuts at 5:00...ARRRgGGgHHH! Help! We must get thru Feb. w/ the scouts! The Blue & Gold dinner is March 1 - Arrow of Light Ceremony! Then he'll be done w/ scouts! Needs to finish requirements tho!

Cheri - Daddy stay on board with Little Pirate. You are funny. So Cas has her eye on Atlantic waterslides eh? Are you planning on just going through Disney or trying to book the room at that one specific hotel which will get you wristbands for the waterpark?

Annie - skip the book fair - we need to be saving all extra money for cruising. And well, the programs I guess you gotta go to. At our school when, say, your 2nd graders have already performed you can go to the classroom and pick up said 2nd grader. Any chance you can get child and run to other commitments? If not, can you ask swim school for "make up" sessions? Is son to young to be taught to "call in sick"

Call in sick? What is that? Have only done that like twice in my lifetime...

Can skip book fair if must - I can probably send a few dollars to school for it during the day - trouble is he will pick out like the Captain Underpants books rather than "good" reading material. (He is an advanced reader - they just moved him into this "William and Mary" program that only a handful of kids qualified for - he's 5th grade but probably reads on at least 7th grade, maybe even 8th grade level...) ANYWAY, I like to also give my blessing on what books he buys...I suppose I could enforce that if he buys JUNK with MY money he can PAY ME BACK, right?!

Emailed the den mother about the 2nd winter concert as it is for our "Clarksburg Cluster" and involves kids in his den from the other school in our Pack. They will all go to the same Middle School & play together next year. She may try to move that meeting to a weekend...that would be good I guess. Maybe. (Our luck if she moves it it will be to the 2nd weekend in Feb. that I am thinking maybe we can go skiing at one of the local mountains.)

Dog is around the corner WHINING & BARKING. I pushed the elevator button but he wouldn't get in. That drives me NUTS!

Forecast is calling for 65ish on Sat and a 40% chance of rain. Maybe I should add a 2nd pair of shoes to the bag just in case we get wet?!

So, A.I. had a couple of funny moments last nite. Who else noticed that one chick in the hot pink dress - one shot with the big green earrings on, then one was off, then it was on again...bad editing on that one. Poor guy in the mustard suit - he works with mean people that encouraged him to try out. Sparkle chick was a real flippy thing...she DID sound like Grace Slick a little bit tho. Who else remembers her besides me?! One local guy from Bowie, MD made it....couple of DE people.... Can u imagine that last chick who has never seen an 'R' rated movie? Will she be another Kelly Pickler? The other girl from Oregon was cute. I liked her top. She was perky. And I felt really bad for the cute little girl from Chicago with the sick daughter - that was sad.

We had one when Colt was 8 months old. The room guy set it up and took it down,just liek the other beds. It worked great.
