OK fine.

Guess I will just go do the dishes and go to bed. Killjoys. Tune in tomorrow when Johnna attempts to bake her daughters birthday cake from scratch. Sidenote: she has requested a chocolate log cake with chocolate chip ice cream in the middle.

Should be interesting.

I did not even know there was such a thing as "cake flour"??:confused3 How is it different from regular flour?

Betsy?

And do you measure the other dry ingredients before you sift them or after??

Betsy Stewart?

Oh and Christmas party in the classroom tomorrow:thumbsup2 You know thats gonna rock. And no, Annie, the captain can't be invited.

Johnna: YOU ARE SO FUNNY! Sorry I missed your show last night!

6 more days til' Christmas!

ROFL! At everything!

Ok since today is my day to think about what Im forgetting to do, along with run to the bank(done) and BBall practice, I'm going to start wrapping. Think its about time? :santa:

Morning!!

Johanna! The tree is BEAUTIFUL:love: - I just KNEW you could do the lights!!!:goodvibes  And you have so-o much stuff wrapped & under it already!! I wanna have Christmas at YOUR house! You DO win the "I got my crap together" award for today!! We have a total of like 3 things under our tree so far (and one of those is from the neighbor)! :rotfl: I wrapped one thing for DS the other nite (packed it in real tight so no sound then told him to shake it:lmao: I'm so mean!) and then he wrapped one thing for me (I need to teach him some wrapping creativity tho - it is obviously a CD!):) I am one of those to do things like those little Russian dolls that stack inside each other whatever they're called. If it's small it gets wrapped then goes inside something else then maybe something else....am trying to figure out how to disguise that pool cue I got for DH. It screws in half & I got a little case for it - but I'm thinkin' that's too obvious. Maybe I'll wrap it and put it in one of those big bike sacks with lots of newspaper wadded up for stuffing?! What do you think?! Could work?!:confused3

OK, so the Captain can't type very well. He has a little dyslexia problem. I will have to work on that with him!:rotfl2: If I practice enough....:lmao:

Tonite is neighbors annual ornament party and DS has his Pack meeting / Xmas party...DH will be home to take our Jared and the other Jared (neighbor) to Pack so I will be free to :drinking: :drinking1 :tilt:

CamColt - a flat screen tv in an 11 yr olds bedroom?! :scared: I would have to be taking the remote control at bedtime everynite!:lmao:

Hi TZM & Ophie! Miss ya'll....

Where's Tigger & Pooh lately?!

RJ - I was thinking probably James again....... I wouldn't mind seeing Stephanie come back again tho! I really wanted her to win it that first season she was on!

:rotfl2: Thanks for the entertainment TRM. I really needed that!

guess teenage-type son really was sick. Need to rethink teaching kids to "share". I don't wike it. Still - need to find the energy to build 31 ginerbread houses tomorrow for Cassie's class and run to Costco for 4-5 pizzas for their lunch. Who signed me up for this room parent job anyway? :rolleyes1 Note to self: keep hand DOWN and beeg mouth shut at Back to School Night.

It's cold and raining. Almost like it's winter or sumthin'.

TRM: Nice job on the tree lights, and on the girls. All are quite prettiful.

OK, I just HAPPEN to sit right next to a girl who has her own cake baking business on the side & who teaches cake decorating at Michaels!! SHE says "cake flour" is finer and does not need sifting and that it also has cornstarch in it to make the cake fluffier! It also has less glutten than regular flour which makes the cake less chewy. She likes to use "Soft Silk" brand if you can find that and she says it's usually in a box not a bag.:thumbsup2

I was so busy laughing at the witty posts before, I forgot to comment on the girls. Great pics! Love the cookie! :lmao: The girls are precious and I love the decorations! Awesome job!

LOL on the tv. He is pretty good about going to bed. Hes usually up about 6:00 am so by bed time hes tired. This is one of those things that can double as a computer monitor, which he needs and has limited space for, so we went with it. It can (and will be) be removed if abused. :happytv:

I too am guilty of not complimenting how adorable the girls looked! :cutie: After seeing that great tree my ADHD kicked in & I got distracted!!:goodvibes

YAY! A new toy! SueEllen gets the "link of the day" award! I'm gonna do one too as soon as I pick Ryan up from school!

um :confused3 is there supposed to be sumthin' once you click on the link? :confused3 (and I wanna see Pete and Regina too! I know what Pete looks like but not Regina)

Katie, the blonde in the one I sent for DU was Dagny.

Cheri, you should get a really funny snowball fight with some of the DIS functional peeps here staring in it.
The one with Pete is the same as this, but with Dreams agents instead of the DISfunctional peeps :thumbsup2

Are you not able to view the video card?

Hey--guess what?! I actually made it out to the post office today to mail out packages. Now just to address the rest of my Christmas cards and get those in the mail in the morning. Nothing like being this far behind.

Still haven't put up the tree yet :( sigh....

Had to take one of my kitties to the vet today. He's 13 pounds (he's a big boy!) He had to get shots and isn't very happy with me.

Now just to catch up with the rest of your posts here.

RJ--I don't know what's funnier, watching you guys dance, or seeing you at the end waiting for me to do something. :)

Katie, that one with the kids was funny too.

I want to try the 'It's a Wonderful Life' one, but don't want to spend the points (yes, they are free, and yes, I'm cheap!)

I think these are so cute.

Thanks SueEllen...have spent the last hour or so playing with jibjab and uploading pictures of people.

Quite fun.

Must go find something for dinner.

Ryan is officiallly out of school until 1/7! :scared: Finally did mail merge file to print address labels for Christmas cards...OUT OF INK! Dang it. I thought I was on the ball with the Christmas cards this year, yet here they sit. deep sigh.

Gotta do football picks too don't I? My work is never done.:rotfl:

Well I'll be hosting a DCL House party! I got the email confirmation today and now I'm trying to think of ways to make it a successful party.
This should be FUN!!!

Everyone here is  now. Just in time for the holidays. Poor Trevor is miserable and his little voice is cracking. Crud!

So, is everyone ready for Christmas? I'm finally finishing up my Christmas cards tonight, and getting them in tomorrow's mail. I sure hope I don't miss anyone.

Hey--one of my client's won a night in Cinderella's Castle during her stay last week. That would be so cool.

Well, off to finishe up a few things and get some sleep.

We got that confirmation email today too. I'd love to host one of those parties, if we can get ready for it in time. The website sends out invitations via email, but in this little town, we'd need to have an ad in the paper to attract people! And since it's only 3 weeks after we get back from our New Years vacation, I'm wondering if we can arrange it in time. Hell, if anyone in this town should host a DCL party, it's us! We have an entire room in our house dedicated to Disney vacations, for heaven's sake. I know RJ is gonna say that we HAVE to do this! :thumbsup2

Ok RJ, git to plannin'. Have the caterers make Mickey heads out of Oreos; Order a cake that looks like the ship! I'll make a repeating DVD slide show for the living room TV. We'll take lots of pictures and send them to Tom McAlpin and tell him we want perks! :rotfl:

Beano, I sent you and RJ an email regarding something STOOPID I did today! Please check your email when you get a chance.

The DCL party looks like so much fun. I'm trying to figure out who to invite around here (same thing, small town.) I'm hoping to get something together and hold it over at my sister's house (she just doesn't know it yet!) pirate:
