OK - gotta go to Best Buy and get a router for the office. Then order lumpia for poker night.

OK, the router I get...but lumpia? What's lumpia?! We usually order a tray of burritos from like Baja Fresh or something when DH hosts poker...and again, like with the Bunco - they play on Friday's here...so they can stay up until 3:00 am filling up the recycling bin!

DH went to a Nationals game tonite (w/ some of the poker buddies). I'm doin' some mid-week 'cuz we're going to my parents in WV this weekend for a family reunion. They always do this fundraising auction thing to keep money in the pot to pay for the park etc. - I never have anything good to donate tho...and didn't feel like getting creative & making something - so had to stop at Target on the way home & pick up an RX & buy some junk to give away. Went with a gardening theme (gloves, organizer thingy that you line in a bucket & cute floppy straw hat). They will probably be lucky to fetch what I paid for the stuff... Oh well. I guess the point is that it's supposed to be a donation. I should've pulled out an old set of Christmas glassware that someone gave us 'eh?! Bet that would fetch a good amount! Worst thing is that now I will have to spend $20 or $25 on somebody else's donated junk!

OK, so raise your hand if you're a DM who would be a little mad if your kids day camp did a tie dye project without providing smocks or asking you to bring in an old Tshirt to wear for the project? I mean the navy blue $6 basketball shorts from Target I'll get over...but the cute tank from The Children's Place I'm pissed about! Green & red paint splashed ALL OVER it!

Since DH isn't home I think dinner is feelin' like a Fish Fillet with Xtra tarter sauce from Mickey D's!!! Am gonna go see if DS wants to vote with me & see if we get a tie!

Lumpia is a filipino eggroll. Mystery meat. And oh so yummy when served with the sweet/fire dip. LOL about the recycling bin. DH hosts only once in a great while but that bin sure does fill up. Good thing the trash guys picked up recycling today!

Mickey D's got both our votes. Fish fillets & Cheeseburger Happy Meals for both of us! (this is a LOT for DS who is 54" tall now but only 53 Lbs.!) I can't resist those goofy cheeseburgers - I love the minced onions (are they fake?) & cheap pickles! And DS doesn't like his pickles so I get BONUS pickles! Love it when the tarter sauce squishes out the other side when you take a bite on the fish sandwich too! (DH is usually not so impressed with either of those delicacies!)

I'm baaaccckkk.
Annie, it is WELL worth the visit on a weekday at Kings Dominion vs. a weekend. Crowds and staff have gone downhill (thugs!) Anyway, weekdays are not nearly as bad as weekends and I would definitely suggest that. Now Beltway traffic YUCK! Been there done that and hate it.
If you are going to do that either go VERY early in the morning to avoid it, or drive down the night before and get a hotel.
Free tickets! SCORE! I'd go too with free tickets. I LOVE Drop Zone (and all of the roller coasters except Shockwave, which I don't care for.) I adore the Rebel Yell backwards, and the rickety Grizzly. I can remember being a very young teenager and riding the Grizzly over and over and over again (it was very new.)
I'm dying to get to Busch Gardens and try out the Griffen. That looks amazing.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Nope, Cam has never pitched before. I was horrified! He actually did very well (and I'm the first to say when he stinks, so know tht Im not just saying my kid is wonderful, LOL! ). I was expecting 1 walk after another but it wasnt like that at all. Plus during his time as pitcher he made 2 awesome catches of pop ups to make the outs. I have to say I was impressed. Again, I have pics but just gotta get Imagestation to work.

Enjoy your time in WDW, Sue Ellen. Would you believe that has happened to me too? Twice when I have been in WDW it has been hotter here in MA!

Cam in the box doing his big job of announcing Colt. This was almost as exciting as pitching for him. Cam is the kid on the right in the box on the left.

And yes, both kids were on the White Sox in their respective leagues, LOL! It worked out well when we couldnt find a hat on the way out the door.

Been playing with hotel rooms & airline tickets. DH is in his BF wedding 8/18 in Portland Oregon.

DD gets to go to first day of school and then leave. Perfect attendence award right out the window. Now I can play those Disneyland trips

Thinking I might try Priceline. Biddingfortravel dot com is an interesting sight. They teach you how to beat Priceline at their own game. Just might try it.

I've only ever played with Priceline - never actually used them. We live pretty much equal distance to 3 airports (BWI, National & Dulles). If I don't watch them REALLY close - they will take us out of one airport & bring us back into another one! UHHH. NOT! So I don't even mess with 'em any more 'cuz that's always their best deal - which leaves us doing what? Taking a taxi to go get our car at a different airport?! (Our zip code puts us out of range for those Super Shuttle van things - they'll come get us across the main road - but not in front of our house - so we always drive ourselves!!) Anyway, hope you find a good deal....DH's best friend got married a few years ago & he was in the wedding - in St. John, USVI!! There's only 2 hotels there and the airfare was CRAZY expensive.....nice trip but talk about an expensive wedding!

Anyway, baby names....I'm stickin' to the Brenna Quinn idea.... Unless you are Jewish, I wouldn't worry about naming after someone - unless that's a tradition you're really attached to keeping. I always joke that it's a good thing that I liked Jared Michael A LOT since I'm always yelling out his full name!! It would've sucked if I didn't really like his name so much, ya know??!!

Hey there all... LOL - not up yet - us?! HA! My alarm(s) start going off around 5:30...of course since I'm usually not in bed until 11:30-12 I don't manage to drag my sorry butt up until about 5:45... Been sorta busy at work past couple of days...hummm...and I went out at lunch & took up most of my time...just went to the Amish Market during lunch today (I'm lovin' that place) & got 5 Lbs of their pasta salad to take to WV for the reunion. Beats trying to take grocery stuff with me to make something there in my Mom's kitchen tomorrow am - esp. since it's like thimble size & she'll be in their making whatever she's making & we'd be climbing ALL over ea. other! Plus those deli containers travel well in a cooler too....then alls I gotta do is dump it into a bowl tomorrow morning! Who wants to bet that she doesn't have room in her frig. for my 5 lbs of stuff tho?! Maybe I should call her & ask her to plug in their camper so I can use that frig...or maybe if I use lots of ice my little cooler would probably be OK for 16 or 17 hours?! Hummm....I think that's one reason why I decided to go with the pasta salad not the potato salad - thought it would keep better...

It's nice that you can take a leave from work before you actually have Brenna (Does this mean you're going to permanently be one of those SAHM's now?!)

I didn't pack yet!! Mom wasn't home whenever I tried to call her about the weather forecast last nite - then she finally called me back at like 9:00 & by then I didn't feel like starting to pack. Oh well. We don't need much - it's only going to be about 78 there on Sat. & maybe low 80's on Sun. - but of course we head back on Sun. so that doesn't matter so much...
