OK, so do you think that 4 bottles of tequila are too many to stock in our bar (all different brands)?! I guess that's kind of a lot of tequila huh? How about 4 different brands of vodka?! (Plus a couple of the flavored vodkas - gotta have Citron...) Don't have so much variety in the rums, gins & whiskey yet tho....mainly just whatever our friends drink. Oh, and no scotch yet - don't know anybody that drinks that stuff....still building my "collection"! Does booze count as a collection? I mean if somebody asks me if I collect anything can I say booze?! Hummmm....

Alright, conversation's goin' downhill in a hurry...just tryin' to keep us off of page 2!

Did I mention it is like 60 degrees here today cloudy and raw. Both kids had baseball games tonight. I laughed when I arrived and saw 2 mothers had blankets. Its June...it can't be that cold. Nope, I was wrong...it is blanket weather. I froze.

We have had storms all evening - supposed to be cooler tomorrow (maybe I heard high 60's / low 70's) but then 90's by Sunday! That's OK, I like it hot (reminds me of FL)!!

I'm such a LUCY - I keep a small blanket in my overhead at work - the place is always freezing - and now that I'm wearing summer clothes I'm really cold - my feet were like ice (might take in a pair of fuzzy slippers too)! I got some carpet samples from one of our designers & put them over the floor vents in my cube! Brrrrr!! Yeah. A blanket & slippers at work! I'm a real show sometimes!

When I used to work in an office I had some coworkers who would blare the AC, or open windows in the middle of winter. I had a space heater at my feet running year round. Oh wait...I have my space heater on my feet now, LOL!
Looks like we have to wait until Saturday to hit the 70s, then Mon & Tues will be in the 80s! FINALLY!

Took DD to cousins house yesterday so spent ALOT of time in the car!

I can just picture you snuggled in at work! I also hate being cold. Was waiting for summer....welp...it's here. 101 here today - in the shade. But as we West Coasters say...it's a dry heat Should be our hottest day this week. Only 95-98 the rest of the week so thats nice.

Good thing my neighbors have a pool!

Sorry about the neighbor dying...I don't have any personal experience with that but I guess taking something over might be good...long as she has room for it in the frig. (that's always my problem - frig. is a mess). I guess a lasagne could always go in the freezer to bake later too...(that's another mess in my house - no room in the freezer either) What else? A cake? I don't know. I'm no good at that kind of stuff. CamColt - what would you do?!

Good luck with the Bunco (the girls in my neighborhood used to play - I wasn't a regular but did sub a few times). They haven't done it in awhile. It was just another excuse for a lot of drinking! (Which is why they always played on Friday nites here!)

If you are that hot where you live then I guess you don't live near LA out there in CA?! The time we were there in '05 we were COLD! I wish we had a pool. Here, not so many private pools - they're mostly just community pools - and those are few & far between since the county lets the builders get by with only having to put one in if the development reaches a certain size - so what they do is break it into different sections & name them different - then they're on file as being different communities - so they get around the requirement. For example, our builder is Toll Brothers. They have been building here for almost 9 yrs. First our orig. section, Hurley Ridge. Then they started another section they called The Glen at Hurley Ridge. NOW, they're building in The Meadows at Hurley Ridge....still no pool anywhere! (Or was it the Meadows now the Glen?! I don't freaking know anymore!) Anyway, if we want to go to a pool we have to go to a County pool. There's one about 12 minutes away - and it's nice enough, but it can get crowded (since most communities don't have pools)!! We could probably put a very, very small pool in our backyard - but we'd have to fence....and you know we don't want to do that! We like spilling into the neighbors 1/2 acre!!

I have a best friend. I have a great neighbor.

Tonight is bunco. Having dinner with neighbor which we planned last night. We like to plan dinners like that then the kids can swim in her pool and DH's can visit and we share cooking/dishes. Great fun especially when its hot.

Ok - talked to best friend earlier - she was busy so I told her "see you at bunco".

Ok - neighbor just called (BF and neighbor not friends BTW - just common thread - me) and asked her if she was ready for bunco could she pick her up!!? weird ok but they are working together on my baby shower.

then neighbor calls me and says "BF just called and I chickened out did not tell her we were having dinner together just that I was not ready for bunco yet and shes going to call you". Call waiting rings...and its BF.

OK so I tell her food is in the oven, not done, thinking I would take some of it to neighbor as husband died today and I will meet her at bunco.

and now I am sitting here kinda really irritated. Cause BF is jealous of neighbor and ok she is like 43 years old and isn't it time to get over the junior high school games!?

OK cannot finish rant but thanks for listening. Oven timer is beeping.

How do you deal with a jealous friend. This is going to be a long summer if every time I haul my preggo baby body next door to dip in the pool I am going to get the 10th degree from best friend.

OK, so BF is jealous of neighbor with the pool not the neighbor with the dead husband, right? Maybe they both want to be your best friend? Who's playing Bunco? All 3 of you, together?! Sounds like you need to drop that baby so you can have a cold one!!

Do you sometimes feel like you live in Knots Landing or on Wisteria Lane (Desperate Housewives)? I do here sometimes....my next door neighbor (and very good friend) has a beach house in Bethany Beach, DE - shes a SAHM & is going to her beach house tomorrow with a couple other SAHM's & their kids - she will do this off & on all summer with these other SAHM's....while I go off to work every day....some things are hard not to get jealous over....I know this from a different sort of perspective.....but anyway, I'm sorry.....that's no help is it?!

Pretty awkward tonight. BF tried to fake through it but it did not really work.

Oh well. Guess neighbor and BF are going to coffee tomorrow morning to discuss the baby shower. Gosh wish I could be there. NOT!

Drop baby and have a cold one...best idea I have heard today.

New baby names from bunco crowd: Ellison, Paige, Shea, Finley don't really get that one and Alex.

Okay I have been MIA from the thread for a little while. I have been crazy busy around here. Guess what! I'm running for school board. I am officially a candidate and will be on the ballot for the November election. (woo hoo!) it was a lot of work just to get listed (had to get signatures on petitions of registered voters in my district.) But I managed to get it done finally.

The downfall is that I will be on the ship on election day! not a good thing. I'll have to do an absentee vote, but how bad will it look if I'm not around for election day? It was a hard call, but DCL won over being here on election day (that and changing the date was a bit of an issue.)

Trevor starts T-Ball this week too, and Tara started working her first job as well. Some days I think there aren't enough hours in the day to get things done and it's just getting worse.

Going back to WDW in 2 weeks (for an agent program) so I'll be working from the crack of dawn until late evening (did I ever mention I'm not a morning person?)

Now to catch up on what's been going on for everyone else around here.
