OK guys... I know I've been off the forum for a while :rolleyes1 , but I just had to read through 46 pages to get all the new members! WOW! There are now 56 new members added to the DIS Dad's Club list.

:welcome: Welcome to all the new dads! :welcome:

Please PM me if you are not on the list and would like to be added. Have a great DIS day!

Very cool. I'm stoked to be among "my own kind"!!! :woohoo:

Hey Dad's it has been 1 plus week to read the boards!!!!

We survived Hurricane IKE!!!!! No power for over a week and we
live 80 + miles from the coast. What got us through the nights talking and planning our June 09 trip. Oldest DS is going to
end up being a Disney Dad (of course after college and getting
his degree's) he was planning under the flashlight what parks on
which days for our 14 day stay.

To all the Dads who suffered IKE, our orayers are with you
and hope you didn't have to much damage.

It's good to back up.

Glad to hear that you've got power again Donald Duck Dad! Looks like a lot of your neighbors closer to the coast are going to be waiting a very long time for theirs. :sad2:

Nice job with the list. Welcome to the Club! to all the new Dad's on the list since I last posted.

We got our photopass disk back from our recent trip. I need to get that picture of me with my main man Goofy posted so I have some credibility around here :)

Great news Donald Duck Dad! :thumbsup2 Glad you finally got power restored and glad you survived the hurricane. Hopefully you didn't have any damage other than power loss! Here's hoping everyone else in the area has their power back soon pixiedust:

So when are you going in June? I put in a reservation request yesterday for the last week of June through July 4th weekend. And congrats on the future DIS Dad in your family. :) All three of my DSs love to give input to our planning, and I love getting them involved.:dance3:

It's amazing how much we depend on certain things... like electricity, gas, etc. We got hit by Isabel back in '03 (we live in Virginia Beach) and were without power for 4 days... not comfortable, but no property loss. So my prayers are with you and your family and all those affected by Ike and Gustav.

Great news Donald Duck Dad:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Our prayers to you and your community, family, and neighbors for a quick recovery. A friend from another thread came back on line just this Fri. past:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

15 hours to departure to the "house of mouse":cool1: :cool1:

Hi we got hit hard in Ky too from Ike....it took the power company 9 days to restore over 300000 households without power and will take months to clean up the messall wind dame from Ike 81mph and not a drop of rain....were 1000 miles from the coast:confused: but alteast we didnt get the floading as others did.

Hey Dads, just checking in. I have been in Indianapolis this week. Got to watch the RCA Dome being deflated. Kind of cool to see that happen.:cool1:
Traveling tomorrow back home on Friday.

33 days till WDW we are getting closer!!!!! Can't wait!!!!!

Any Dad's willing to admit they applied for the Disney Mom's panel? There's currently a Dad on this years panel so chances are there will be at least one on next years panel.

Hi Dads I found a new game to play online last night... if anyone is interested pm me your email address and I will send you an email....its alot of fun and best of all is free...LOL

I just found something really cool. If you have a Google account (you can create one HERE), you can add the DisneyLink calendar to your own Google calendar of events. It has all sorts of events (like "Eat to the Beat Concert Series at Epcot®" tomorrow at 5:15PM). PM me if you would like help setting this up.

I screwed up & forgot the dates until it was too late.:sad2: :sad2: I was going to do it & have my wife do it & see if WE could get on the panel. Answering Disney questions on the computer every day??? That might be my dream job:woohoo: :woohoo: Either that or monorail driver.

I did it last year, but didn't make the cut unlike the one dad who did... I did it again this year but haven't heard the results yet... that free trip is so enticing, and hey I could answer questions every week no problem. But we wait and see... :rolleyes1

Thanks for this tip. It's very timely for me. I just pre-ordered the new T-Mobile G1 phone that has the new Google Android operation system. From what I've read, to use the calendar on the phone I have to sign up for a Google calendar online, so the two will sync. So I did that and added the DisneyLink calendar (plus the US Men's Soccer Team schedule). So once my phone shows up in a month, I'll have all those Disney events on me 24-7!!!

I want to try out the Desktop version, but I'm thinking my work wouldn't be too thrilled about me putting it on my work laptop. I'll have to try it at home.
