If you have never seen Reebok's Terry Tate commercials be prepared to :lmao: :rotfl2: !

Those were great commercials! :lmao: There is a knock off version that I saw at church a few months ago and someone has uploaded it to YouTube (of course). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=io-aqNIff3k&feature=related

A friend of mine sent me these pics and I thought I'd share them here with my fellow DIS Dads. These are the Thunderbirds flying over the MK and EPCOT.

VERY COOL PICS! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Greetings all.

My son (12) and I got back last night from a week's stay at OKW in WDW.

The weather was beautiful, the crowds were large and the magic was still there.

We saw the Thunderbirds, rode in the front car of the monorail with the driver, were at rope drop for each of the four parks and rode all of the major attractions before the lines got too long.

OKW was really nice - played tennis, basketball, shuffleboard and ping pong. Along with all that, we had pleanty of pool time and a relaxing sea raycer cruise down the canal.

All in all, a week that went too fast but was a lot of fun.

Can't wait to go back!

:thumbsup2

Hoping to pass Disney's ROFR on our DVC resale so we can enjoy a few days at OKW before our DD starts Massage Therapy School in September.

Maybe it doesn't compare, but cherish the time anyway!

They grow up too fast.

That's EXACTLY why we do days like this... last weekend was time with 12 yr old... and next weekend will be with my 4 yr old.

2 yrs ago I got to take both boys individually for a 4 day weekend trip like you described, and they were AWESOME - but the majority of our outings are more like today's... and that's perfectly OK. You're right - they do grow up so fast... it seems like just yesterday my 12 yr old was born, and now he's taller than his mom (we just measured yesterday!). DD and I are sitting together watching Beauty & the Beast as I type, and DW and the boys are playing a game... I love weekends. :)

Boy, do I hear ya, my DD graduates from high school in two months. Seems like yesterday we were putting her on the school bus heading off for Kindergarten. Where did the time go............:rolleyes1

I am glad you guys had a great time. I can't wait to go back too. I want to get back while my son still believes that Mickey Mouse is real.

Where did the time go............:rolleyes1

That's the question of the year!!!!!

Oh my gracious - enjoy that your son still does! My DD thankfully totally believes they are real... my 12 yr old, at 2 yrs old told DW and I that Mickey and the gang were just people walking around in costumes!!! :scared1: Wow did that blow us away! We lived 10 min. from DLR at that time, and were there at least once a week. Talk about perceptive and blowing the magic! Then he had to go and push his views on his little brother when he was small too - kind of made it hard to "bring 'em while the magic's still real, isn't it??? :confused3 When DD came along, we insisted they both clam up and NOT SAY A WORD to their sis - thankfully, that worked, and the boys finally are seeing some of what they "missed out on" through their sister's reactions. She's enthralled - even if they weren't.

:mic: The Walt Disney Co. has announced that its Pixar animation studio will release all of its movies in 3-D starting next year, a sign that the studio could be moving away from its traditional hand-drawn films. Movies will still be released in a two-dimensional format, but moviegoers will have the option of 3-D :3dglasses . That is, if they're willing to pay more for their ticket. Disney is banking on it.

My friend just forwarded me three more pics of the Thunderbirds flying over the MK the other day. I see how some of the arial shots might have been taken. In the 2nd pic, there is another jet off to the left, someone in that jet might have been taking pics from up above.

OKW has tennis courts? How are they? We have been thinking of doing DVC and if OKW has tennis courts that might be the deciding factor for our home resort!

Yes...they are nice...not far from the themed pool...and lighted.

You can rent rackets and balls (free as DVC member) from the resort.
