Hello fellas! Sorry, I've been out of the loop for about a week or so. So, do I get a certificate or some type of confirmation for joining the club? Also, I haven't had time to catch up on the thread...what are the votes for?

Hi my name is DNSYFRK and i am disneyaholic. i just came over to this area from the DCL boards and i am thinking of my next WDW vacation so i came here and saw this thread and well 24 of the items on the list fit me, so i think i might qualify as a Disney Dad. I talked to my wife about a next WDW vacation and her response was "only if we go on new years eve".I almost have her.

Since were all here, How many of you Dis Dads have STARTED the wave at Fantasmic? If not how many like me are actually strategically planning your seating arrangements so you can be the one to start the wave on your next trip?

I have to admit all the times to Disney and I still have not seen Fantasmic. It was on my plan for next trip and now that I know you can do the wave there it's a no brainer.

Have any of you dads knocked on the back of the Doom buggy in front of you while going through the grave yard of the haunted mansion? Great trick when your kids are riding in the car in front of you.

And in response to your question - oh man YESSSSSSSSS!! I remember one time several years back doing this to total strangers - a pair of tween girls, who screamed...then someone behind our DB did it to us and DW jumped! The people who did it laughed, but then someone did it to them, and the gal screamed too! It was so stinkin funny. I heard several other screams during that trip too - so I think it was just a knockin' sort of day.

GROUNDED HELICOPTERS!!!!

So after sitting at the Landing Zone (LZ) for two hours, they finally decide to tell us that all flights were cancelled (they fly out of Kuwait to us, then back), so here I sit...disgusted....

In all fairness, it was pretty dusty, and visibility was kinda low, but damn, they really have restricted when they fly...heck, the first time I was out here, we took off and landed in a Sandstorm..

Of course, I've had one or two close calls as well (in flight fire over Haditha for example)....so I guess it's just as well..

Guess I'll just sit around, surf the net and wait to try again tomorrow

Welcome, my wife is exactly the same, "you are a dork" are the exact words out of her mouth. But for her job she gets to take one of the ladies that she cares for on a vacation guess where she is going to take her? your guessed it Disney World. Not only is it completly paid for, but she gets paid 24 hours a day for 6 days while she is there as well. Must be rough.

Basically in a conf. room with a customer today in a marathon 8 hr meeting , then dinner with them - or basically just an extension of the meeting with steak involved, and finally back to the hotel. Too many times today was I gazing out that window with the southern exposure thinking about my happy place and wanting to just "take a quick peek" at the DIS! Yeah, right, quick peek my eye. Normal customer visits are not like this one... ugh, usually meet and greets, touring property, and getting a feel for what they can do financially. This one involves a sale/leaseback transaction and multi-million dollar loss on their part. I need a vacation... Oct trip to WDW can't come soon enough!
