[Verandah Man]

Just been made aware of this thread.
Most of the criteria apply so guess that makes me a DIS dad

to the group!!!

Hey Dads I think I have a bad case of Disney Fever! Yesterday I went to the Detroit Zoo I did my best to imagine I was at Animal Kingdom. When we had enough of the zoo we went to the Rainforest Cafe in Auburn Hills. I don't think it helped my Disney Fever I think it made it worse. But at least I got to see some animatronics!!

Same thing here. Only difference is DW wanted to go to the Disney outlet store. It was mostly Disneyland stuff, but still Disney. The Tiki room song came on and started a little song and dance with the kids. For a minute or two we felt like we were actually at the Enchanted Tiki Room
Then I look outside and realized we were still in PA
I just checked my count down widget 204 days 5 hours and one minute till our next trip to WDW.

I am glad I am not the only one. Padisfam2 wasn't that minute or two great? I think my count down number is very close to yours. It seems a long time off but at least DW is expecting this month so that should make the next couple of months fly by.

We also just did a trip to the Disney Outlets in Rehobeth DE, last weekend and then went to a newer store here in MD that we haven't been to.

Me and Tara had another great 6 hours of non-stop Paintball today.

I may be off the thread as I leave for Boston tomorrow mid-day for the week and not sure what type of internet or if I want to use my Work LapT to get on the boards. Maybe i use the blackberry and check-in from time to time.

Have a safe trip, NoPrince... I leave mid-day Monday for 3 days to Detroit for intense client meetings... may be off myself though I might be able to get back on in the hotel at night - but not counting on it this trip.

My DD turned 4 today - had a great day. I've been calling her 4 for the past few weeks even though she hasn't been - just cuz she's acting like she's 8!!!

Finally FELT like spring here in Central IN this weekend - got lots of left over clean up yard work done that I never finished last fall... now DW wants a garden put in, so that will be next weekend's project...ha ha.

We're still 200 days out (or just under) til our family trip to WDW - but I'm just 14 days out from my mini-DL trip!!! I can't wait. Headed west to corporate HQ for a couple of days and can't be in So. Cal without getting to DL!

Fed - hope you're feeling better!!! Those hours are slipping away fast now.

Disappointed that John wasn't able to zoom past Verandah Man this weekend. I just voted and he's at 19,665. He'll get there.

Since were all here, How many of you Dis Dads have STARTED the wave at Fantasmic? If not how many like me are actually strategically planning your seating arrangements so you can be the one to start the wave on your next trip?

I've not only started the wave, I've run up and down the steps to get the slower sections to get with the program. Of course all the while my kids yelled "Who is that guy, we don't know him".

We try to sit in the middle so we don't start the wave...but we sure do participate. Fantasmic is a family favorite.

Holy crazy disney fans batmam... I have not thought about that one. I think I will have to give it a shot. Last year would have been the perfect place too. I am going at the end of Jan 09. Anyone going to be there then. Never too early to start planning our DISdad wave. The more, the merrier.

Just got off a plane, checking some email before heading to a meeting and just had to check in and see what's up today for a couple minutes. I was cracking up! I've never started it - but have certainly participated time and again. We LOVE IT. We always hate to see it die. Last time it went back and forth 23 times and only ended because the lights went down and the show started! My boys were very into it!!!

I have never started the wave at fantasmic but i made sure to video tape it for the 10 or so minutes that it went on for. The kid that started it even got it to change speeds for normal to slow motion to super fast it was a night to remember. I am too self consciounce(sorry spelling) for that. Might i add this thread is the best one i have had the pleaseure to see. Thanks for the welcome.

I've never started the wave but I did start a chant after the wave was finished.........."MICKEY MOUSE...MICKEY MOUSE...MICKEY MOUSE!"
