It actually depends on your preference. What are you into? We have so many cultures here in town that you can find almost any authentic cuisine.

Nobody makes BBQ or Brisket like Texans. I want something that is uniquely local that I can not get here in NC and is located on the River Walk.

We were "stimulated" yesterday. New tires here I come, and then we're going to hold on to part of it - and think about stimulating WDW in October :thumbsup2 - and part of it to pay down my DS9's new braces.

I think my wife wants to to go to WDW in July! I didn't think we would get back until '09. The stimulus package is making it real possible! We are working on our new home and have a lot of other projects going but I think she see's that we need a Disney break from everything! :dancer:

Well I am so freakin stoked :yay: to find this club. My wife told me about it and i finally found the time to have a look. I hope its not too late to join i meet a whole crap load of the criteria. We are getting ready for our first ever trip to WDW. By the way this is my first ever trip to a theme park of any sort. So needless to say Im about to burst with excitement. Well have a good one and i am sure i will have some questions for all you pros out there!

Be prepared to be blown away! There is no place in the WORLD like WDW. The whole Orlando area is like a big playground for the world and it all started with Mickey. Your family will have a great time. Man, I'm getting excited for ya!:cool1: Ain't nothing like that first trip. So much to do and so much to see. You could be there two whole months and never do everything there is to do.

Below is a link for you to order the free Disney vacation planning DVD. My son and I grab some popcorn and watch it like a movie. popcorn:: It is very entertaining and will have you bursting with excitement in anticipation of your trip! :thumbsup2

Does any one know if you can rent a car at the Disney Resorts? We will be staying at Poly and using magical express. I have always rented cars at the airport but did not plan on doing much driving this time and did not want to rent for a week. We are making a day trip and need a car is there a rental desk anywhere on property?

Chill I always use Dollar the have the best OffAirport prices that I can ever find for my trips.Location Code on Dollars sight is MCOS01 and use discount code Kiss2 for best prices.

The are very nice ( used them the past 4 times) and easy to get to. We love ME and use it but also need a car so this works great. The best thing is we can get a smaller cars (because of no Luggage) and skim a day off the rental by picking up at 4pm and dropping it off before we leave.

To get to it from the Poly they will do pick-up and dropoff if given 24hr notice but we just Bus to the DTD Marketplace bus stop and walk arcoss the street to the Location ( use to Grovsner now is Royal or Regal Sun).

Hey fellow Dis Dads - do any of you have Owner's Lockers down at WDW? Can you recommend their service, or is it not really necessary?

Thanks!

We have signed up for it, and think it will work out well for us... we'll know for certain come Oct. We're working on a running list of stuff to bring or ship down ahead of time to leave there!

This thread is for all of the DIS Dad's out there! I just need to know that I am not the only Dad out there that is Fanatical about Disney World! What is the criteria for joining this club:confused3 ? I am glad you asked. If you are a Dad and any of the following criteria descibes you, you qualify to become a member of the DIS Dad's Club by signing in on this thread.
What about those of us that aren't Dads yet (want to be, we just haven't been blessed with one yet) but meet about 80% of the criteria.

Count me in. My wife just doesn't understand. :confused3 But the kids think I'm the cool Dad!

I just discovered this thread thanks to the promo in Dan's (FauntleroyFAN07) signature. I meet criteria # 1, 2, 4, 29, 32 (or at least I'd know the answers if she did ask), 36 (did it on one day of our last trip), and 75.

Where can I sign up!!!!!!!

Now I have to pay the Electrician $1050:mad: , but it leaves me $450 to put towards my trip in August!:yay:

Now half way to my Kona Kone!!!! See you in Philly...

Go Pens!

Hey now, the Flyers now have a much better chance. They ususally do not do well when they are leading a series. Its more fun to root for the underdogs! Especially when you live 8 miles from the Wachovia Center.

Go Flyers!
