getting ready for the first trip home in 35 days, 11 hours, and 26 minutes.

I'm right behind you, with only 42 days to go until my OKW visit!!! :thumbsup2

i got 79 more days till okw

104 Days for me:confused:

95 days for me to DLR

No official visits on the calendar but thinking about taking the family with me on a business trip to Miami with a few days in the WDW area doing some of the non-park things that we enjoy or never get around to doing normally (DTD, visiting hotels, cruising on Old Band-Aid, etc.).

If I can only figure out the logistics...

I'm a Firearms Instructor and I STINK at Lightyear:rotfl2: What gives:confused3 :rotfl2:

Anyway, you guys asked for it...

Apparently, my buddy (who lost an arm in the Navy), took it upon himself to accept a bet:cool1:

So he jumps into one of the smaller enclosures with a packet of ketchup (see where this is going??), then, splatters the ketchup on his "stump"..waits for some of his group (he had a fake arm so no one had noticed the "stump yet"--it was a business trip) to walk by---then starts rooling around and screaming with the "blood" oozing out through his fingers---:lmao: :lmao:

His boss fainted---his coworkers "screamed like scared little girls"...

Unfortunately for him, Gatorland workers were nearby, and he found himself expelled and asked not to return (imagine that:rotfl2: )....

I wish I had an audio recording of him telling the story---the detail he goes into is unreal....

Really, it could go both ways (I'd kick his **** if I was a Gatorland employee, or his boss for that matter)...but it's still kinda funny:banana: :lmao:

Oh yeah, he said the Alligator in the enclosure never moved...guess he wasn't hungry!!

:rotfl: :lmao: I'd love to hear his version of the story but thanks for your! It has made my time here at work go by a littel easier. Toooo Funny!:rotfl2:

Yea warm up before you go in it's a real workout.

But look in the corners and the back Many 1000 ,2000 and a few 5000 I broke 200,000 once the entire trip and i think 283,000 was the record that day so I have to work on that my next trip.

DisneyFED that is just to funny and I would have loved to seen that.

Thanks for the ammo. My wife will swear I've been making trips to WDW without her. I LOVE THIS CLUB!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

I'm glad to see I'm not alone out there.

The list is awesome and I'd like to join the DIS Dad's Club.

I'm good for: 1,2,4,6,8,10,11,12,13,15,18,19,22,24,25,27,29,32,33,45,47,48,49,50,52,54,61,62,73,75,79,80,83,89 and 97.

I'd like to add one to the list. How about, "If you've ever taken your child(ren) to Disney by yourself without your DW" you qualify.

Or another variation to that is, "If you have a standing deal with your DW that you can visit Disney every year as long as you take the kids". (I actually made that deal with my DW who still "doesn't get it" although I'm trying).

My DS3 has been to WDW 5 times. I've taken him 3 times without mom. One time was a pre-walking, baby food eating trip (not terribly hard) but all three times were pre-potty training diaper changing dad times. My friends, family and collegues think I'm a nut.

As I said, I'm glad I'm not alone.

Hello fellow Dis Dads! Great thread. Count me in!

Aside from the free DVD's and Travel Channel Dis specials, I've found myself hooking up the laptop to the TV so I can watch Youtube videos of WDW these last few months. :happytv:

While we have quite a few planned vacations coming up in the next year or two I have plans to possibly take my two older boys down without mom just for some man time.

We'll have to see how it works out financially but I think it would be great fun!

Hi. I just ran across this thread. I'm a definite "Disney dad". Too late to join?

I want to join. I laughed out loud when I read the criteria. I thought I was the only one!:lmao:

WOW... The company around here keeps getting better and better. We have got to plan a DIS DAD's CLUB meet and greet one day soon at WDW. Then we can here DinsyeFed tell his story in person! :rotfl2: Welcome to the club Dads!!!!!!!!!:welcome: party:

P.S. Your amendments have been added.

Hey Guys,

Just found this thread. I meet 1,2,4,8,12 and 20 and can add one. I actually redid my house (interior) to look more like the style of the AKL.

I get more excited than my DD about our trips, in fact I plan my next one before the upcoming one has even started!

I don't talk it about it much though except with DD. Some people think it is kind of weird for a guy to be Disney crazy. Relatives know the answer but they still ask, DD reported that grandma said "Disney again this year???!!!". LMAO!

To tell the truth my first time at WDW was a mixture of awe and contempt. I thought it was very commercial, especially with stores at the end of rides. But then I surrendered, life is short. I told myself to stop being so uptight and to just go with the flow. Needless to say I never turned back and I'm glad I did. Every stay is magic, I don't know if there is any other place that makes me feel that way. DD commented on her first visit "Dad, even the roads here are special!". Ahh, the memories.

I had to take a break from the dis boards for awhile (been out of the country) but i finally made it back. I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw how the Disney Dads Club had grown. Glad to know I am not alone....thank you for helping me restore my faith in humanity!:rotfl: hard to believe the list of qualifications has went up so high....hope i still qualify....good to be back in touch with "the real world"
P.S. not including signature cause i have to update it since last trip....

We are going to just miss you. We hit double digits today. :cool1: Looks like we are leaving the day you get there. :headache: I think Stopher will be there same time as well.

I am looking forward to double digits my count down started in mid February so I am getting very close. Actually this trip was supposed to happen last November so I am in in short time. Sorry I am going to miss you and Stopher it would have been cool to grab a bite and or hit some rides together.

Here is a challenge to all the Dis Dads. Click below to join this Fantasy Football League that I am in! It's free! My Team is called, "The Disney Fanatics."

Fantasy Football League

alright Fanatic. I joined the league as "The Incredibles." I haven't played fantasy football in many years....I'm more of a fantasy baseball guy myself. But what the heck. Sounds like fun!

And I'm also psyched as we're just 13 days away from a week at Disney and the Boardwalk!!!!

Didn't think I would qualify, i do have an Eyeore mug, but I'm not THAT big a Disney fanatic. Till I read #44 "you don't want to fix the musty smell in the basment because it reminds you of the Pirates of the Caribean ride" That's me!

Love Pirates. Best ride ever.

I feel the same way about WDW!

Add me to the list:cool1:

:welcome: to the club new dads. Your going to love it here. Hopefully you will find some new Dis friends with common interest here.

Alright - I joined the FFL. Never done that, just baseball and auto racing. Don't feel bad for me when I do horrible! I am the "Pabsters".

Working on planning our 2009 July trip now. Our July 2008 trip had to be rearranged to a March 2008 trip - I got a nice present for Father's Day, another daughter! We figured that taking a 1 MO to WDW might not be the best idea for her. So at least we made March work for DD3! I am having withdrawal already. Fortunately, the Disney Visa will be paid off just in time to go again!

Put me down, I fit about 45 of the 99 amendments. This is an awesome idea. We go to disney for so many vacations that my kids think the word "vacation" is just a short way to say "trip to Disneyworld."
