DIS Dads The DIS Dad's Club XII: Oh... There You Are Perry!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.

Nah, I'll argue that point. If they're in a diaper, you don't have to stop a half mile after every rest stop so someone can use the bathroom.:rotfl2::lmao:

You obviously haven't gotten a whiff of Audrey's diapers, have you...?:rotfl2:

Good Morning! Hope everyone is doing well.

DS is not sleeping like he should be. So I am not getting my DIS time like it's supposed to be in the schedule!! :rotfl2:

On the other hand, It's amazing to sit here and watch DS (now just about 6 months) trying to crawl. He has yet to get up on all fours, but he's doing an army crawl to get around. I just watched him chase down Minnie Mouse and go to town on those ears of hers.

I keep forgetting to post this. I took this picture while we were in Disney World back in May. We were coming back to the resort (CBR). They were doing some construction and this semi was parked in the parking lot. The bus driver announced that a funny sight was coming up. As he had seen it for the last several hours.

And Yes it was strapped down. Take that IRT.:happytv:

Welcome to the club! We're doing our first cruise at the end of the month and I can't wait! But be careful what you wish for - the Dad's Club can very very addicting. Especially if you like bacon.

Isn't everything better with bacon? :thumbsup2

Wow! Eeyore:"If everyone else has their hand in a honey pot, then where is my......OH DEAR GOD!"

Okay DISdad lesson #1 learned - put down the coffee before reading this thread or be prepared to clean keyboard (again)...

The van is packed, including the kitchen sink, and we are ready to go as soon as dds get home from school.

I know a few of you will be there next week and my apologies for not trying to arrange a meet-up. Instead, we have been trying to coordinate this trip with our non-Disney friends, who are the parents of our godchildren. He is normally a good guy, and we drink beer and other stuff, but he just really is pushing my buttons. He's complaining to his children how much Disney costs and how big a waste of time it is. They are going to beach as well, so we are trying to coordinate meals, theme parks, etc. My dd and youngest goddaughter are same age and really good friends, which makes this even more difficult. Since this is his first trip ever, I hope the Disney magic will convert him, even if not for a return trip, but at least to let his children enjoy their time.

For the DisDads at WDW, please let me know if you have a meet up planned. I will try to join you if possible.

G’afternoon folks…

Man I’ve gotten behind. One really long work week is finally made the swing onto the backstretch. A couple more hours and I can get into something a whole lot more fun (namely a home ballgame and a halftime performance down at the high school).

On a serious note... I still have not heard anything more about Megan. Hopefully no news is good news.

We’re all still keeping her in mind down here. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

Lord there seems to have been a long spate of fairly bad news. We need a break from this nonsense (or at least a bit of comic relief).

Also... I'm pretty exhausted from converting Zerphonics to regular English!

:lmao: :lmao:

That’s better!

So I'm not sure if this goes here, the "Introduce Myself..." thread, or both, so I'm safely opting for both... I've ran up close to a few hundred posts or so, most over on the Cruise Thread. Since we're leaving on the Wonder in 10 days, I'll need a new DIS addiction to switch to after my return and TR, so I was told on another thread to get my rear over here. So here goes! Hope you guys'll have me!

:welcome: Sir.
You have arrived in the best spot on the boards. Enjoy the cruise and I’m looking forward to hijacking… errr… I mean reading (yah, that’s it) your TR.

I'll be starting my new job at POSCO (Pohang Steel Company, one of the biggest companies in South Korea) Management and Innovation Consulting (POMIC, for short) on the 20th. It's gonna be a huge change for me, not only the atmosphere of a real company job, but also being back to a 9-6 schedule.

Don’t remember if I got to say congratulations on the new job, so…

Congratulations!

Eeyore:"If everyone else has their hand in a honey pot, then where is my......OH DEAR GOD!"

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I ruin more monitors reading this thread

That… is funny. :lmao:

The van is packed, including the kitchen sink, and we are ready to go as soon as dds get home from school.

Enjoy the trip! :thumbsup2

The sad part is every day they have to send out a rescue party for the 3 or 4 blondes who wandered off course and got lost in the woods.
and there was that one that drowned

Wow! Eeyore:"If everyone else has their hand in a honey pot, then where is my......OH DEAR GOD!"
It's natures pocket

That's awesome:lmao:

Have a great trip.

So DS had a rough week. He lost his mathbook, and forgot his homework several times this too. He just seemed to not really be paying attention to anything at school. This morning as he was getting readyhe got frantic because he remembered he needed to be at school early. DW was a little disappointed that he would wait to the very last minute to tell her he needed to get there early. She asked him why? He responded "I've got be on the morning announcements, the school is giving me an award for Responsibility." :scared1::confused3

That just means he's more responsible than everyone else in the school... :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Congratulations to him for his award.:thumbsup2

It's up to you to represent us down there. If he gets out of hand you know what to do

Bravo. Congrats on the milestone.

Nicely said, Brian!

:thumbsup2 how was diner in canada tonight??? :lmao:

This was an awesome 5000th post! :thumbsup2 Congrats! And I'm not sure how many years it's going to take me to get there! :lmao: Maybe if I actually finish my TR I could gain a few hundred more! :rotfl2:

Brian, congrats on 5,000 posts

Brian - congrats on the big 5-0 (0-0)

party:Congrats! Well said, we're like the Shriners, but with better hats!:earsboy:

Awesome post! Congrats on 5,000 and thanks for being part of the club! :thumbsup2

Thanks guys... as I stated, it's all of you that make this board the place to keep returning.

Yeah but there's always the Swiss Chalet Festive dinner to look forward to.

Not to mention Shreddies and Habitant French Canadian Pea soup.

And Tim Horton's... puts Dunkin' Donuts to shame any day of the week!

That just means he's more responsible than everyone else in the school... :scared1::scared1::scared1:

I weep for our future then.
:lmao:

Wow! Them's fighting words. At least you didn't insult Krispy Kreme. If you can resist the "hot and now" sign you're a stronger man than me. I'm pretty weak though so that's not really much of an accomplishment.

GO TEXAS RANGERS!

Krispy Kreme is almost as overrated as In N Out Burger.

Bring it!

:lmao:

It's the only request of our friend who come down and stay, BRING TIMMIES!

In Michigan, when they opened the first Tim Horton's in the US, the three Dunkin Donuts within 4 miles of it closed down within 6 months.

I survived and I am able to type!!:banana: Main coronary arteries are open!!:cool1::cool1: Thank sof the prayers...there are some blockages in the "micro vessels" and he said that ws common with diabetics and he put me on a medication for the chest "ache" I refuse to call it a pain!:) They did not give me much medication so I was able to lie there and watch everything and remember it....I was able to see for myself how widley patent everything was! Having it done through the right radial artery was a breeze!!!

I know it sounds like "fightin' words" :) But as you see from Randy's response, it really is true. I can't explain it, but Tim Horton's is a phenomenon in Canada, it unites the country, it's java goodness. It is one of the main reason's many Canadians would never move.

To help you understand this, next time you are in Epcot ask any of the CM's in Canada about Tim's.

If you ever swing by T.O., I request a DISdad's meet, and I will by you a coffee. You got to order a double double (It's Canadian lingo that you will understand once you get here, eh)

Crazy that you watched everything though... Would have made me pass out... :scared1:

Great news Steve! Glad it went well:thumbsup2

To help you understand this, next time you are in Epcot ask any of the CM's in Canada about Tim's.

The best is when you are at Le Cellier, they ask if you'd like a cup of coffee and you can normally get "Is it.." out before they cut you off and tell you it's Nescafe, not Tim's.
