I just saw an article about "Top 10 things you need to know about DHS' latest announcement." I was confused, because it was posted by a name I didn't recognize from the Disney community, and I didn't know about any latest announcement about Disney's Hollywood Studios.





It took far too long to remember that the person who posted it is an immigration attorney, and was referring to the Department of Homeland Security.

I take this as less of a sign that you spend too much time thinking about Disney, and more of a sign that your priorities are in order.

When talking to non-Disney folks about Disney, I find I use Disney acronyms, and they have no clue what I am talking about. But they just nod and go along with it.

I actually think it helps when I talk to my DW in acronyms about Disney because we're trying to keep things a secret from the kids. My oldest DD(4), when we spell words out to try to keep something from her, has become very good at sounding words out! You can't spell D-i-s-n-e-y around her or she knows what's up!

Yes. I did that recently. Someone asked me if I was going to the TOT and I said yes during Fall Break. They were asking about a "Trainer of Trainers" ladt week and had I stopped listening after TOT and started thinking about TOTWL.

tammys works for an insurance co and she uses acronyms all the time for work and there is a "adr" she uses. here in pa, the newer lic. plates around start with "dvc". i use to look to see if i knew the person.

ahhhh the good old days. first they start repeating what you say.(to your mother-in-law) then they learn how to sound out words and spell. it only gets better.

I used to love Thursdays - they were my off day. Starting next week, though, the company switched from giving us the option of 4x10 hour days to forcing everyone to do 5x8 hour days. Today is my last Thursday, so I'm trying to enjoy the heck out of it. Picked DD up from her first day of 1st Grade a little while ago, now the kids are swimming in the pool while I have a little DIS time and a Diet Cherry Coke on the deck.

Reminds me of golfing one year amongst recently mowed grass and finding a rabbit's head. Ugh.

Perhaps the groundskeeper was trying to send you a message. Be lucky it wasn't a horse head.

Ugh. Day 5 without power or phone service. Came home from Cape COd vacation 3 days early and staying with in-laws. THrew out two freezers worth of food and will chuck the fridge contents sometime today.

ConEd website says our power was restored, so I called them to assure them that it was not. After checking, they agreed (they are so magnanimous). They assured me that I would have power by midnight tonight.

At least everyone is safe and I had a great Fantasy Football Draft!!

When ever me and DW talk in "code" my kids always assume it's Disney. And 9 times out of 10 they are right.

My daughter asked me the other day "Do you HAVE to go to the DISboards everyday?"

She thinks it's my job.

sorry barry, the rabbit lived!!!! i really dont know if i could start all over again. im getting to old for it any more.(the being a new dad part) im hoping to pack it in in another 9 years around here. we have been looking at houses in the sanford area. even with the housing slump i could sell my house here for 30k more than what i could get a nice 3 bedroom, enclosed pool, house in florida. my taxs would be the third of what i pay here. the biggest problem at this point is health insurance. so we are planning to just hold off till brianas out of school and shes up and running on her own. retiring to florida with the rest of the old geezers. we are also looking into a merc. grand marc.

We just got back from Orange Leaf which is a frozen yogurt place. It was pretty awesome. One of the featured flavors is Dole Pineapple

They have 72 flavors of yogurt and all kinds of toppings including fresh fruit. So I had a dole whip look alike with pineapple and kiwi
