Hey guys, just checking in quick from my phone in the hospital, wanted to share that my son was born today! DW and DS are both doing great. Probably won't be able to check in for a couple days (might sneak the MacBook in tomorrow) , but will post a couple pics on Facebook for those of you on there.

Hope all is well with everyone!!

Congratulations to you and your wife. A new child is such a blessing.

Just received a few texts from Ron, so here we go.

We are heading to Gaston for the weekend. Why wait out a hurricane in a well supplied home when you can head to a poorly stocked remote lake house instead?

Thats the premise of just about every 80's horror movie as well.

Those storm tracker trucks are awesome. Is that the one with the LED panel and all the wind gauges?
I think I've seen that one but I'm not sure if its the same guy. About 3 years ago they took one of their trucks they were ready to retire and anchored it to the ground in some city where they expected the hurricane to make landfall and left all the cameras running just to show people what the full force of the storm was like. They took the videos down on their site, it was really cool!

Welcome back...

I am glad you made the distinction between babysitting, and parenting. I know WAY to many dads that think they are babysitting when they are home with the kids, and wifey is out.
I call it babysitting but I am with my kid.. err kids... 5+ days a week.

I'm in, and I thought I was on the hook for 10 Questions, when last such things were discussed. I am also willing to book a trip just to do another trip preview, with financing :lmao:

Glad to be home so I can see these!
Hey Chris... we will be visiting your wonderful place of employment on Tuesday morning for Juliana's 6 month check-up. Let me know if you will be around. Juliana and I will probably grab breakfast around 9 after her scans at 8:30 before her clinic visit.

Be safe this weekend... batten down the hatches. It looks like we are going to be on the East side of this storm, which isn't going to be pretty for us.

Wow, it's so slow today, Mike and Tim caught up with us. :lmao:

HEY! :headache::headache:

(so true!):rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Irene luckily passed by us today. Fair amount of rain but winds were not bad. Beach erosion and a little bit of debris. Bahamas took the brunt of the eye wall. Local TV was there and reported no deaths but some damage. Everyone in her path, be prepared and stay safe. She is big and could be nasty.

Good Morning Dave and the Rest of the Dads.

A Friday Funny Story

Roger left for work on Friday morning. Friday was payday, so instead of going home, he stayed out the entire weekend partying with the boys and spending his entire pay packet.

Finally, Roger appeared at home on Sunday night, and obviously he was confronted by his angry wife, Martha who castigated Roger for nearly two hours with a tirade befitting his actions. Finally, Martha stopped the nagging and said to Roger, 'How would you like it if you didn't see me for two or three days?'

Roger replied grimly, 'That would be fine with me.'

Monday went by and he didn't see his Martha. Tuesday and Wednesday came and went with the same results.

By the Thursday, the swelling had gone down just enough so that Roger he could see Martha a little out of the corner of his left eye
