got home from work at noon, had my nap.:thumbsup2 now its off for a shower, than its off to cracker barrell for chicken and rice. the sat. night special.:woohoo: i worked real hard this morning. the owner of the company called me into his office. told me to shut the door. (i worked there 20 years and only ever seen that door closed twice, niether was any good.):scared1: i was told to have a seat. im thinking,(getting fired, hes not paying our healthcare, what did or didnt i do,someone die what?????) nope, he wants to plan a suprise trip to wdw for his kids and grand kids and wanted some info.:sad2: (after i called him a name) he starts laughing!!! he says, i thought that was funny myself, i just wanted to see the look on your face!!!!:lmao: so i spent the next 2 hours answering his questions. he has been there a few times and being semi retired, has time to play on the computer and knows more about the place than i do.:lmao: do you want to cry, he has reserved 4 1br units at bwv each for 7 nights. 9 adult and 7 child park tickets and 16 first class plane tickets.:scared1: than tell me he pays me to much if i can afford to go there twice a year.:lmao:

Hmmmmm, I thought YOU were the owner! :lmao:

Still not much time to check out the boards. Seems like we're doing a lot of running around after I get home from work, and on the weekends. Today: church; friends visiting; a trip to my brother's; and who knows what else. DW has PT 3 times this coming week plus some other stuff happening.
Welcome to the new dads! Prayers going out to those who need them! "Safe trip" to those traveling! Congratulations to those with new kids! I think that about covers it. Sorry to be so brief.
Have a good week, guys.

I just watched Rango tonight with the kids. What on earth was that all about? :confused3

It felt like some drug-induced vision of Spaghetti westerns kind-of tailored for kids. I got most of the jokes - my kids had no idea. Just plain weird. :sad2:

ClearScreen

I'd heard the same and haven't seen it yet. Fortunately, dds are bugging to see it.

Happy Sunday guys :thumbsup2

Morning Dave.

Holy Beverly! Work gets busy and I miss 100+ pages of nonsense, er, very, very important information.

I'll be in and out the next couple of weeks, but just wanted to check in.

Cheers,
Indy
geez, where have you been???? old jopas bedside??? man, did he take a hit. the old guy still at practice.:thumbsup2 how was your trip???
That's more my pace. I am not a Biergarten fan.

Sun - Sci-Fi
Mon - Captain Cook's Tonga Toast and Dole Whip Breakfast; MNSSHP
Tues - Narcoosee's
Wed - CRT Breakfast
Thurs - Spirit of Aloha Dinner

we hit biergarten every trip. have you done spirit of aloha yet?? we did it again this past june. we like it, one of those 5 year rotation places. what about narcoosees? have you ever eaten there before? thats one place we have not hit yet.

Hey there guys. Sorry I've been MIA the last couple of days. Our eldest daughter Mary fell off a fence on Thursday afternoon and broke her elbow. Well, yesterday she had surgery to reset the orbital head which had been twisted and flipped in her fall.

She's doing very well today and is excited to show off her lime green cast to all her friends.

Now Mary wanted to add some smilies to this post.

:lovestruc :cutie:  :dance3: :laundy: :grouphug:
:littleangel: :p :crazy2: :mic: :faint:

Glad to hear she's back home and doing well!

And now the fun stuff! ADRs tomorrow. Here's my plan, staying at AKL-Kidani, with my mother and her husband joining us for the first 4 days

1st Day: Dinner- Sanna (so not to have to travel)
2nd Day: MK. Lunch- Crystal Palace, Dinner- California Grill
3rd Day: Epcot. Lunch- Via Napoli, Dinner - Koussina
4th Day: AK. Lunch- Yak & Yeti, Dinner- Jiko
5th Day: HS. Lunch- Brown Derby, Dinner- Boma
6th Day: MK. Lunch- Tony's, Dinner- Ohana's
7th Day: Epcot. Lunch- Via Napoli, Dinner- Le Cellier

Getting hungry just thinking about it!

Chris, call Kidani when you get closer and ask them to email you the activity list for Kidani. They have some really cool things for the kids, there is a daily activity that they earn a bead for completing that goes on a piece of leather (kinda like Tiger Cubs). The activities are things like learning how they track animals using radio trackers and then the kids have to find a stuffed animal hidden on the grounds wearing a radio collar.

Looks fairly fantastic. I might swap in a Tusker House lunch for Y&Y, and get an ADR in the 1pm-1:45pm range to get priority seating for Finding Nemo at 3:15pm. The following night, I'd suggest going by Boma at 4pm to do the Culinary Tour of Africa (free!), where they will take you by the Boma buffet for the night and let you try a soup and a dessert. When I did it and talked to the guy running soups, he seemed amenable to heating up a batch of the Mushroom Soup that my daughter loves even though it wasn't on the menu that night. Unfortunately, though, there wasn't any made.

Two Via Napoli's? I cannot imagine eating at the same place in World Showcase more than once, because I like so many places in Epcot. Chefs de France is good, Restaurant Marrakesh is... interesting..., and even CS places like Sunshine Seasons and Tangerine Cafe are worth a visit.

Also, Tony's is not among my favorite restaurants, but TS restaurants in MK are kind of slim pickings.

Not sure if any of you will remember my post on the old thread...I made one post and almost as soon as I finished I received a call that my Dad was critically ill and he passed away unexpectedly. I am finally getting caught back up and ready to do a little planning and wanted to thank you for the welcome..I went back and read your notes. You guys are dedicated Disney fans, through and through....That's for sure! I like that quality in a person!

We are actually in the process of planning a trip in October. The Dis Board site is full of great Ideas and helpful tips. I'll try to keep up!:thumbsup2

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your father. My condolences.

SOA and Narcoosee's are both new ones for us. Outside of the Swan/Dolphin places, I think this will complete the tour of the signature dining restaurants at WDW after this trip. Normally, Fulton's is one of our annual restaurants. We originally planned to eat there Sat evening; however, we have some friends who are stopping by WDW on the way to the beach and they wanted to eat at Park Fare.

We really enjoyed 1900 Park Fare in May. When we take the in-laws in November we are doing it again.

We liked it as well. Just not as much as Fulton's. DW and I ate at Fulton's on our honeymoon 10 years ago. It was our favorite restaurant then and now.

We have not eaten there yet. We considered it for this trip but it did not work out.

We tried the Cape May dinner in April for the first time. I figured - all you can eat seafood - is a really good thing. The crab legs at Cape May seemed like the ones they offer here at a Chinese Restaurant in KY. They were all watery. Now, we ate there only a few days after Fulton's, which may have really made it worse than it was in comparison. Every meal we have had at Fulton's is exceptional.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! Thought I'd take a minute to give an update!

Got up at 5:40 to get ready to make the dining reservations, only to find that the computer wouldn't let me make any reservations past my 180 day mark. Even though the system acknowledged my resort reservation, it still wouldn't let me make anything past the 180 day. Tried my computer, my laptop, my ipad, nothing worked :headache:

Had to be at work at 7:30, so drove in so that I could be in the parking lot by 7am to call the hotline. Fortunately, I had the nicest, most helpful operator (yes, I did the survey at the end!) who helped me get pretty much everything we wanted (or something close!) including a Le Cellier on our last night and a California Grill on our 2nd night. Phew! :woohoo:

I good start, all in all! Very thankful for my blessings today! Thanks again for your advice!

BUMP! Hope you are all enjoying the day!

Here's a picture from Ron's trip (on the Commando Thread)!

Ron sends he's greetings from WDW and he sent me this picture of his home for the next week.

Ok quick question. What would be a good price for an airline ticket from Wisconsin (Milwaukee or Chicago-O'hare) to Orlando?

Received this from Ron a little bit ago.

"Sitting in Ohana's in the last hour I scored all 3 bus cards, 1 monorail & a pin but hope to score a bunch more tonite, got a felling I'll be getting dups luck has it that I share.
