Thanks to all you Dads for the birthday wishes.

Went out to our neighborhood Applebee's for a mediocre meal. The steak was good....just everything else wasn't quite up to par.

Got some awesome corn hole boards from my wife. Something that is always played at our family gatherings. She even painted them UT colors (that's Toledo for you Texas or Tennessee dads). Go Rockets!

Also got the Neal Garbler book "Walt Disney -The Triumph of the American Imagination" from my SIL. Looking forward to taking it with me on my next trip to Myrtle. Anyone else read this one?

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes.

Uuughh Toledo!!! Our old Nemesis from the MAC

I'm on this bandwagon tonight.

Welcome aboard!!!!!!!!

And you know what they say about Karma; something about being a big Beverly or something like that. Pulling that it catches up to those most deserving soon.

Cooking update: 2 lbs of bacon cooked, about 1/3 of that now in my stomach. Cook = taste tester :lmao:. Got a pound of the Wal Mart Philly Cheese steak meat cooked too: yeah, it's not the real thing, but that along with 4 pieces of cheese and 4 hoagie buns can feed my family for less that $10 at WDW, so I'll take it when trying to save a buck. Also have the full Illuninations Area Music Loop going from DTuneslive and I'm glad that I'm flying solo tonight or DW would tell me turn it down. If ya'll don't know about DTunes, its a great Disney site that plays EVERYTHING that has to do with Disney, including the monorail loop saying that is now in our thread title (dtuneslive.com). Check it out sometime when you get the chance. Finally, I've got a huge chocolate chip cookie that's about to disappear:cool1::thumbsup2:lmao:

You had me at bacon......

Man, kharma needs to catch up over here to a certain someone. Unless it's waiting for something big. Sorry to sound cruel or crass, but this beverly has it comming. She refuses to do a lot of the jobs required of her, is loud and crude, and thinks the store, nay, the WORLD revolves around her. She thinks she is in charge, and little is done to put her in her place. Won't work any night shifts assigned to her, which while I understand is hard for a single mother, she gets free daycare from HER mother whom she sponges off, and let's not go on about the smoking/excessive caffine while PREGNANT. Spends her pays as fast as she can, left work suddenly when her T4 arrived so she could get her tax return for a big night out. Meanwhile, mooches food off other co-workers, and has debt collectors call the store looking for her. What a catch. I have calmed down somewhat now, I am going to keep calm and ride this out. I am not going to flip out anymore, not worth it.

Find myself pulling a little bit for Vancouver. Don't know why as I'm not a real big hockey fan. Maybe it's the fact that their uniforms are so dang ugly that they make me feel sorry for them.

I know by all rights I SHOULD be pulling for the Canucks right now, like a good Canadian, but I just hate Luongo, and the fact I pulled Boston in the work playoff pool.

To paraphrase Daffy Duck.." I might be an unpatriotic Canadian, but I'm a GREEDY unpatriotic Canadian.....:rotfl2:

Is it poor sportsmanship to request a formal presentation of my whopping $32 playoff pool winnings?:rotfl2:

BigTiki - I know what you are going through at work, it seems like work is only good for the suckups, every week I get more dropped on my plate and I have to stuggle to try to get it all done, end result I end up getting behind and hearing alot of Beverly:confused3 Last week I was on vacation, came back the place is a mess (will take a good week or so just to catch up) It's weird how this week I'm getting approved OT to get the place in order:confused3, but once it's caught up I'll hear a bunch of negitive stuff again:confused3 even though when I wasn't there they used alot more hours and got half the work done and wrong at that:confused3

What would you do:confused3

The soccer ticks I won last week for center field 1st row, Ive been offered face value at $50 tic ($200 total) by 2 people I know:woohoo:

Do I go to the game even though we know nothing about soccer, but have great seats and will probably have a good time, game starts at 7:30pm and is a hour away, next day we leave for VA:confused3

or

Go to my friends party in Del and stay over nite, either way we are heading to VA the next day, if we go to Del we will be 1 1/2 hours ahead of travel time plus there will be much booze to drink:yay: plus I would have $200 spending cash:confused3

It was fun after returning from the "Paternity" Leave (my term) I took a few years ago to look after Audrey. Lots of cleanup and fixing involved, BUT the couple of co-workers who had "issues" with me were transfered out. (Disclaimer: If I suggest another kid to DW to solve my problems, I will be killed. By ninjas. Or pirates. Or Pirate Ninjas.)

Actually, talking with the local union steward (she works in our store), revealed that Saturday night yielded another incident, which I know nothing much about. No wonder boss is pissed, the store is falling apart before his eyes. Something will HAVE to be done.

Oh, speaking of DW, she came to pick me up yesterday, and noticed that one of our windows were boarded up (A customer tried breaking in Sunday morning)....her first thought was "Oh-oh, Brent lost it again"...ain't love grand?

Oh look, Vancouver fans are rioting again.....classy.

Hmmm...hard choice to make there....sometimes the best sporting events are ones where you don't care which team wins. On the other hand....$200. Did I mention I'm a GREEDY unpatriotic Canadian?:lmao:

So folks, I booked my dates and hotel, so now we are definitely going to Washington DC.

We still have to plan what we are doing which days. We booked the tour of the Pentagon.

They don't let Canadians tour the White House... Grrr... We want Celine Deon and Mike Myers back now. Oh, and don't worry we will take the Stanley Cup back ourselves.

Still so sure about that???

LUUUUUUOOOOOOOONGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Lord Stanley Returns to his rightful place in Beantown. All is right with the world.

I can't remember for sure but weren't we discussing getting dis dad decals for our vehicles? I thought I saw a couple of examples :confused3

Tiki - Wow, that some likes some really Beverly peanut butter going on at that LCBO. You gotta just tough it out, chin up, show up for your shifts, do your job, and allow the others around you to fail. You sound like you are quite passionate about your job, and I am sure that doesn't go unnoticed. Keep your chin up.

Rant Time

As for Vancouver, I have to say I am VERY DISSAPOINTED.

Don't get me wrong, I am not dissapointed at the Vancouver Canucks, their orginaization, or any one player (Like Luongo :lmao:).

But I am very dissapointed in the City of Vancouver's reaction after the Stanley Cup loss. Looting, Rioting, and Violence.

Come on guys... Grow up!

They must have watched some of the city of Detroit's past performances. And they did after wins!

Tough to hear about the riots. Especially after how classy the Vancouver fans were following the Bruins win, staying and cheering for everyone (except Bettman! lol:lmao:) throughout the cup presentation...

In Boston we save our riots for wins, not losses...

Top of the morning dads :surfweb:

Morning! pirate:

Awesome! Congrats! Have a great trip!

Anyone else ask for a Disney trip for Father's Day? Don't think I'm getting it, however...
