Gentlemen-

My wonderful wife informed me about this forum and I would really like to join the DisDad group.

My name is Dan and I currently work as a Deputy Fire Marshall (glorified fire inspector) for the Bluffton Township Fire District in beautiful South Carolina. Bluffton is located just before you get to Hilton Head Island. Our next Disney trip will be here in the next month or so so that my wife can see Wishes one last time before they change the show. We have two boys, 6 (almost 7) and 4. We will be taking a longer trip to WDW at the end of October/beginning of November with my mom and my wife's mom and step-dad. Should be interesting.

I look forward to interacting with the other dads out there and hopefully make some new friends!

It's our 15th wedding anniversary today! I'm taking the day off to spend it with DW. We're making a waffle breakfast for the trachers/class at my DD's school, going out to lunch, then a movie with just the 2 of us later. Romantic, huh?

Woohoo!!! I figured it was probably that one, but I was prepared to rattle off any parents I could think of from the Disney Channel until I got it. Ironically, as I was thinking about that, it dawned on me how many single parent type situations there are on those shows (Hannah Montana, Suite Life).

Not just there - can you name a Disney movie where the parents of the main character are alive through an entire movie (and the main character is not sent to live somewhere else, like in Sleeping Beauty and Hercules)? I can think of two....

Actually... yesterday I was passed out most of the day with a fever of 103 degrees. Some 24 hour bug I caught... Haven't felt that bad in a LONG time. Much better today, but still recuperating. As for the trip report... I keep telling myself to get an update out there... so far no luck

Actually, I think that belongs on the brag thread. You should be proud of her for being able to pull off that many trips at the age of 14!
