Good morning gentlemen. Been away from the board for about a week. Went to Adult Disney (Vegas) last weekend and pretended I was 10 years younger than I really am. It was fun, I got to support the Vegas economy and still bring home almost all of what I took with me. Still, I was happy to get home to my girls. Now I get to focus on our September family trip which I am even more excited about - 121 days!! :dance3:

Word of advice. The back half of a Spirit Air plane is no place for a 6'3" man (probably no place for anyone over 5'9"). Man that was a cramped ride.

My post counts are slipping!!! I used to always be near the top!!!:scared1: Daggon work for cutting into my DDC time!!!

Hey Carl...congrats on the 1000th post...:thumbsup2

Happy Memorial Day weekend guys!! I was supposed to be on call all weekend long but a co worker decided he would like to make some extra cash and asked to pick up my call tonight and tomorrow!!:cool1: Bless His Heart!!!:worship: Now, what to do...what to do??

Stay safe everyone...dont eat too much..and dont break any bones!! Memorial Day weekend is notorious for bringing out the crazy parts of people and they become traumas!!!

RodBelding: Congrats! The new guy is really throwing down the gauntlet!

dvczerfs: Where are you? You've really been slacking the last couple of threads.:lmao:

theduck619: It is quite obvious that someone was away on vacation. :rolleyes1

And I still haven't started on the trip report :headache:

so,
here it is.. my 1000th post!

as I sit here before you all... eh...

:thumbsup2 (not a thumb)

seriously, I bellieve that I started here at like 450 posts..for the last 550 post I have been boring you guys with mindless nonsense along with :rotfl2: and :rotfl: to quite a bit of hilarious tidbits of info you guys leave here for all to read. After looking back at this I realize that I have really said nothing at all and you still encourage me, by occasionally responding with a :lmao: or a :thumbsup2 feeding my delusion that someone actually cares what I have to say.. So I guess I have found a place to help me obsess about my kids, my favorite resort, and of course all things Disney!

It really is great to have a place that like minded maniacal Disney fanatics can get together and confirm our unnatural desire to be in Disney at all times.. And if given the chance, would all take a job as a "it's a small world" cast member..
(It's not natural.. But I think all of us here would do it! :rotfl2:)

So thank you all for the uncanny welcome.. And I bid you all GOOD DAY!

Woo Hoo, back on the board again!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Just got a letter from our HOA saying that they weren't able to get the post tornado repair inspection done on the pool so it won't open until next weekend......:thumbsup2:thumbsup2: (not thumbs). Thanks HOA!

On a brighter note, I finally made the leap and will be spending some time over the weekend going over my Fairytale Journeys Training manual:banana:

Couldn’t think of a better use for post number: 1313

you can open your eyes now.....it's over....:cool1:

Congrats to the Heat. They proved to be the more mature / seasoned team. (Dang Bulls giving up a 12 point lead with 4 minutes left).

It looks like I've got the following on my buy list:

- Lou Malnati's Pizza for FreezinRafiki (NFC Championship bet)
- Dole Whip for oXar
- Dinner for CJ9200 next trip to Miami

It seems I may have a gambling problem... I always bet for Chicago. :rotfl2:

Watching the local news this morning as I sit here at work. They're at IMS where fans are gathering for a weekend at the track. They went to a motor home, where the occupants have obviously started consuming adult beverages for breakfast. One was wearing a Viking hat stumbling around and another was wearing a wife beater spraying himself with deodorant while being interviewed. :lmao::rotfl2:

Glad to see the Wisconsinites getting a little air time. :lmao:

Have fun boys. Mine is shaping up like the worst Memorial Day weekend ever. Saturday we're doing our taxes (we filed an extension back in April because we were still waiting for some forms to come).
Monday I have to pick up the MIL at the airport, because she's staying with us for a few days.

:headache::headache:

I think I have an urgent meeting for you in Chicago on Tuesday...Wednesday... Thursday... whatever you need.

Much like the Celtics this year, I plan on starting fast and furious and wilting down the stretch, before getting outclassed in the playoffs.

Well gentlemen, I just took care of my broken down lawnmower situation. My new toy:

Now I just have to pay for it.:headache:

See this all that comes to mind is:

"Cinderella boy. Outta nowhere. A former greenskeeper now about to become the Masters champion. It looks like a mirac... It's in the hole! It's in the hole! It's in the hole!"

Dude! Sounds like you are stressing yourself out!! If you have a Ohana reservation for that night.. I would grab a MK QS that first day.. I know it sounds like your wasting your deluxe dining but as we said on the podcast.. Dining plan is more for peace of mind and trying new restaurants.. You will definitely want to not have a big lunch if your have Ohana at 6p!

We always have meals and snacks left at the end of our trip! But we don't schedule like you have. We schedule 1 TS a day and wing it on the QS the rest of the time.. It makes for a less stressful vacation. If you do the "time math" with deluxe dining scheduling 3 meals a day at TS dining that's at least 4-5 hours of just eating every day!(that's showing up at ADR waiting to be seated and eating. It doesn't include traveling to your ADR.) From rope drop to closing at the parks.. Which you won't be able to do with the DD4.. your eating almost half of your park time literally! accumulative hours for seven days is a conservative 28 hours of just eating in a 7 day trip! That's 2 park days!! :scared:
I say chill don't over schedule your eating, and enjoy the parks! In the past I ran around.. Looking to see how many credits we had left and what I could use them for.. Gotta get my money's worth.. Now... Meh..:thumbsup2

Not really stressing, just trying to maximize touring time, really. This is DD4's first "full" trip (Did a day at MK last summer), so we're not really going commando on this go round. We're doing a ton of Character Dining so she gets that time, which will allow us to maximize our park time for rides. The way we're scheduled now, I'm not really worried about getting our money's worth. I'm sure we are. ADRs, I'm sure, are few and far between at this point, and if it was suggest to eat at X restaurant, I wanted to get on the horn while there might still be a chance to reserve something.

We did the DxDP before and it is a lot of food. But, we used the credits for all signature dining. So, we did character breakfast, snack credit lunch, and 2 TS dinner. Or, a CRT breakfast, snack, and 1 TS dinner. I am a big eater, and it was too much food for me. I'm glad to say I did it and ate at restaurants that I may not have, but don't plan on doing DxDP again.

I like the idea of DTD and Earl of Sandwich. I would not leave a theme park to go to DTD, only if you had a non-park day. With 3 people, you may find it easier to walk up to some TS places, especially at off times.

We've never eaten at the Earl .. . . maybe on our arrival night since we're staying right across the street. Like you, I'm a big eater, and it scares me how much we're planning on eating. We are restaurant junkies, so we'll enjoy it, but if I don't gain 12 lbs. on this trip, I'll be surprised.

My advice would be to go QS to keep from over scheduling yourself. As it has been said, if you do several TS meals it will eat up a lot of time. If you want to do TS since that is essentially what you've paid for already and want to try a walk up, I'd go to CP right as they open for lunch (or any meal for that matter.) We've done that several times and so far we've lucked out every time. It is a buffet, so once you're seated, you can eat at your speed and not waste a lot of time there if you don't want to, and of course, if you can be one of the first in, it is always quicker anyway. If you try a walk up and nothing's available, then just go QS somewhere.

We have a CP lunch ADR our last day at the World, though I'm not opposed to canceling. Right now I'm leaning toward Pecos Bill, the taco place near PoTC, or Columbia Harbor House, though LTT is always a family fave . . . .

I guess we'll play it by Ears.

Cheers,
Indy

EDIT: Do I get a "First multi-post because I finally figured out how easy it is to do such a thing" badge??
