Against the better judgement of Emma's Dad, I'm Dis Dad member #605!! I've been on the boards for a couple of years, didn't realize you guys were here until recently. It's great to have a 'support' form for us like minded Dis addicts.

Taking the family to AKL for the first time in 3 weeks!! Heavy into our final stretch of research for this trip, hey I have to know what snacks to hit and what to skip.

Don't forget to get a Dole Whip!

Yes it is.

What? Did you say something? I couldn’t quite make that out as you were mumblin’ so. You need to learn to speak up a bit.

:lmao: :lmao:

Well gentlemen, I just took care of my broken down lawnmower situation. My new toy:

Excelent! :thumbsup2

Now I just have to pay for it.:headache:

Not so excellent…

See this all that comes to mind is:

"Cinderella boy. Outta nowhere. A former greenskeeper now about to become the Masters champion. It looks like a mirac... It's in the hole! It's in the hole! It's in the hole!"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Cannon ball… Cannon ball coming…

Welcome :cool1::cool1::cool1:

We are staying at Kidani in November so I will look forward to hearing your thoughts on the place.

Glad you found us!
You've already covered the Granddaddy of the Snack Credit (the Dole Whip). If you're on the dining plan and have a bunch of snack credits left over, I recommend the Crisped Rice treats. (They're nothing like Rice Krispie Treats, honest. :rolleyes1) Anyway, they're about the size of your hand, about an inch thick, and covered in colored chocolate icing. The resort gift shop should have otherwise hit up Goofy's Candy Company in Downtown Disney. They travel very well (plane or car) and are soooo good.

Not really stressing, just trying to maximize touring time, really. This is DD4's first "full" trip (Did a day at MK last summer), so we're not really going commando on this go round. We're doing a ton of Character Dining so she gets that time, which will allow us to maximize our park time for rides. The way we're scheduled now, I'm not really worried about getting our money's worth. I'm sure we are. ADRs, I'm sure, are few and far between at this point, and if it was suggest to eat at X restaurant, I wanted to get on the horn while there might still be a chance to reserve something.

Do you have an iPhone or other smartphone? If so, I highly recommend the Mobile Disney World Dining Reservations site. The URL is long, so you'll want to save it as a bookmark (or, on the iPhone, make it a homepage icon after making it a bookmark). The address is http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining/m/

You can use that from anywhere that you have a data connection, even in-park. It's great for last-minute reservations (really more like a day or so in advance - beyond that the restaurants seem to hold back canceled reservations for walk-ups, but it's always worth a try). People are constantly changing plans, so you never know what might open up. And it's MUCH faster than waiting around on the phone.

Snacks to skip.... hmmmmm... I'm going to have to get back to you on that one.:confused3

I always like the Mickey Ice Cream bars. Nothing special, you can get a similar thing from any grocery store for cheaper... but it isn't shaped like Mickey.:thumbsup2

As are all the pastries at the “Boulangerie Patisserie” in the France Pavilion at EPCOT.

Now, them’s good eats.

Actually, we have a list of all the items that count as a snack credit by park & vendor. If I think of it, I’ll try to post a link to it when I get home (but it might be Monday evening before I really get the chance to hunt it down).

Nice! Happy summer to you! :thumbsup2

I'll PM you my address so you can practice on my lawn as well :lmao:

Well, my JD salesman just called me. The mower I bought was just delivered from the factory yesterday to their Bloomington store. Turns out someone in Bloomington was buying the same one I was buying at the same time. Son of a Beverly. Just another reason to hate Bloomington! :lmao: They placed an order for 2 of that model from the factory and are checking other dealers in the area to try to get one delivered to me within the next week.

and duck, I'll do it for $80/hour... but I'll only drive in reverse (I've gotta pay for this thing somehow!):lmao::rotfl:

I'd also recommend the cinnamon rolls at the Main St. Bakery. Sure, they're so big they'll force you to skip a meal afterwards, but it's so worth it.

I think with all that trouble that you are having as far as delivery.. They should put a large disdads logo on the back.. And give you guys an 8 day cruise on the Dream!
:rotfl2:

I think it goes 9 mph. Doesn't sound like a fast number until you drive it. It is clearly faster than my Exmark was. Fast for a mower, but man, that would be a looooooooonng drive.:lmao::rotfl2:

I agree, they should give us a cruise on the Dream. In fact, with as much business my dad, my uncle and I have given them over the past 2 years in the ag equipment department, they should probably give us a week on the Dream followed week at WDW in the suite in the castle.:lmao::rotfl2:

You want me to send some of my Sicilian relatives from out east to talk with them?? They will make them an offer they can't refuse

Just put my deposit down for Blt DVC! Pumped!

Very, very cool :cool1::cool1:

Congrats to the Heat. They proved to be the more mature / seasoned team. (Dang Bulls giving up a 12 point lead with 4 minutes left).

It looks like I've got the following on my buy list:

- Lou Malnati's Pizza for FreezinRafiki (NFC Championship bet)
- Dole Whip for oXar
- Dinner for CJ9200 next trip to Miami

It seems I may have a gambling problem... I always bet for Chicago. :rotfl2:.

Don't worry, I won't rub it in too much....Bulls are yesterday's news, now on to Dallas. And I won't make you drive 4 hours, next time you come to the world we'll settle up. Any excuse to get out there is a good excuse now that we're so close..... still have to talk DW into those annuals, man, getting money out of an accountant is harder than beating the Heat.

Hey guys....what is the normal operating time for the studios in late November? The Mickey Christmas Party is throwing a wrench into our Nov. plans. My understanding is that you can't see the fireworks in MK on a party night unless you have a ticket for the party?? :confused3

That appears to be true. I think when I'm in the World, the only night that they'll have MSEP and Wishes is going to be on 11/28 and 12/1. Accosrding to touringplans, they aren't even showing MSEP scheduled on the MVMCP days on 11/29 and 11/30, but they do have MSEP scheduled on 12/2 with MVMCP that night.

They're showing Studios hours of 9am - 8pm with Fantasmic on 11/27 and 12/1

Great tip! Thanks! It has been bookmarked!
