Morning all! Half day today, then up to the lake for the long weekend. Looking forward to relaxing a bit... Hope you all have a terrific day!

Hope all you guys have a great Weekend....

We've been serving warrants all week, and I'll be fishing all weekend:cool1::cool1::woohoo::woohoo:

Have fun boys. Mine is shaping up like the worst Memorial Day weekend ever. Saturday we're doing our taxes (we filed an extension back in April because we were still waiting for some forms to come).
Monday I have to pick up the MIL at the airport, because she's staying with us for a few days.

:headache::headache:

One was wearing a Viking hat stumbling around and another was wearing a wife beater spraying himself with deodorant while being interviewed. :lmao::rotfl2:

Oh man, they have cameras set up at my house already....hold on, I need to make a call....:rotfl2::rotfl2:

SCOTCH!!! SCOTCH!!! FOR BEVERLY'S SAKE BRING ME THE SCOTCH.:lmao::lmao:

Well.....here's :thumbsup2:thumbsup2(<-------not thumbs) for you....:rotfl2:

That does sound like major suckage....

And the Memorial Day parties at Indianapolis Motor Speedway are underway!!!

Watching the local news this morning as I sit here at work. They're at IMS where fans are gathering for a weekend at the track. They went to a motor home, where the occupants have obviously started consuming adult beverages for breakfast. One was wearing a Viking hat stumbling around and another was wearing a wife beater spraying himself with deodorant while being interviewed. :lmao::rotfl2:

Why do they always have to interview the guys from kentucky during the 500?? We need better border control :lmao::lmao:

I drove by yesterday and saw a guy standing (more like wobbling) in the rain and then he chucked out into 16th st. Must have been a big night because he spewed a good 6 or 7 ft.

Wife beater guy was just on again, this time drinking a beer wearing a "wrestling" belt that indicates that he is apparently a world champion beer drinker. I love the Indy 500! :lmao::rotfl2:

Yeah, you always see something like that. I saw a guy taking a leak in the grandstands after the race one year. :scared1:

We sit on the outside of the front stretch right by the start/finish line. I always walk up to the top and look out across Georgetown (cause let's face, no point being in a hurry, we aren't going anywhere anyway) and there's this house there that every year seems like it has a bigger fence around it than the year before. All they do is make it a challenge, because I don't think I've ever seen any grass in their yard. Come to think of it, it is hard to even see many shingles on the roof under all the beer cans. :lmao::rotfl2: I really do feel bad for them, but it is still kind of funny. They probably make some pretty good money if they bag the cans up and take them to a recycling center though.

so,
here it is.. my 1000th post!

as I sit here before you all... eh...

:thumbsup2 (not a thumb)

seriously, I bellieve that I started here at like 450 posts..for the last 550 post I have been boring you guys with mindless nonsense along with :rotfl2: and :rotfl: to quite a bit of hilarious tidbits of info you guys leave here for all to read. After looking back at this I realize that I have really said nothing at all and you still encourage me, by occasionally responding with a :lmao: or a :thumbsup2 feeding my delusion that someone actually cares what I have to say.. So I guess I have found a place to help me obsess about my kids, my favorite resort, and of course all things Disney!

It really is great to have a place that like minded maniacal Disney fanatics can get together and confirm our unnatural desire to be in Disney at all times.. And if given the chance, would all take a job as a "it's a small world" cast member..
(It's not natural.. But I think all of us here would do it! :rotfl2:)

So thank you all for the uncanny welcome.. And I bid you all GOOD DAY!

I would just like to give fair warning, that due to a report from my brother, stand by for an epic "boat ramp rant" on Tuesday.....

He got started early, and apparently the boating idiots are out in full force:lmao::lmao:

Memorial Day and 4th of July---two of the best weekends to hang out at the boat ramp....drinking:lmao:

Whenever NASCAR comes to Dover, the RV parade comes to town. The fields where they park are bisected by the main highway, so I can see a lot of interesting things on the way to work...

1000 posts, and you still haven't figured out how to format! (head-slap!)

Well, at least you learned how to multi-post! :woohoo:

Seriously, nice post Carl. :thumbsup2 (<--- really a thumb) It's been a pleasure to have you here and getting to know you on-line! Hope to have that translate to in-person soon. I'm enjoying your facebook photos, too! Keep 'em up!

Need some advice, Gents -

We're staying at CSR in July for 7 nights (myself, DW and DD4), on the DxDP, have 17 credits booked - 7 dinners (8 credits), 5 lunches (6 credits), and 3 character breakfasts (seven character meals total). I was saving one without an ADR for lunch on "arrival day", which has become a full park day now that we'll be leaving a half day earlier than originally planned (we're driving).

So my dilemma is this - do I troll the online booking and hope to get an ADR for somewhere in the MK or do we wing it and try to get into CP or LTT on a whim? And what do I do with the other three credits? Should I just use them for a QS breakfast on the days we don't have one scheduled? I also have no issue scheduling a later-ish lunch (12:30 or 1:00) somewhere else, as the real reason we're hitting MK on our first day is to get the Rapunzel M&G out of the way. I don't want it to be my albatross throughout the week. We have an ADR for Ohana (I'm looking forward to my first meat coma) at 6:00 if that makes a difference.

Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers,
Indy

I would head over to DTD and eat at Wolfgang Puck Cafe. You shouldn't have a problem getting a table walk-up, and the food is great.

We did the DxDDP last year. We did a lot of pre-park opening breakfasts (CP, H&V, Akershus) to avoid cutting into our park time. We did a few signature places and some regular TS and CS. We still ended up with about 6 credits we used for a bunch of snacks to take with us. I can pack down some food and I will admit the DxDDP is TOO much. I kept hearing that from others, but I wanted to try it. I doubt we will ever do the DxDDP again, unless its just a couples-only trip and we do a bunch of signature dining.

Wow. I've got a old version 1.0 tin can and string in the back of the closet somewhere. Truth be told, it's more like a rope, though. Half an inch thick and natural fiber - none of this fancy synthetic thread that the kids are using these days. It couldn't do much - post to a few BBSs and do some basic HTML markup. It didn't support Flash, though. I tried doing a firmware upgrade (new string) once, but I had to roll it back due to some incompatibilities with the old version of can that I was running (Campbell's Tomato)

Dude, you need to upgrade to fiber and the new titanium-alloy cans. So fast and clear! :rotfl2:

Wife beater guy was just on again, this time drinking a beer wearing a "wrestling" belt that indicates that he is apparently a world champion beer drinker. I love the Indy 500! :lmao::rotfl2:

Woah... they are moving into NASCAR territory there. :rotfl2:

Ouch!!! I fixed it with a knot on my head!! :rotfl2: I was hoping no one would see until after I edited it 3 times! That preview button would have been a good thing to use! Kind of like the "preview print" before printing when in office!

Thanx guys!!
