Hmmm - laptop hard drive prices have come down substantially since the last time I checked.

This is just making the decision-making process that much more difficult.

I upgraded the HD in my Macbook Pro to a 500GB for under $100. Super easy to do.

Yeah, I've upgraded both the memory and the hard drive in this MacBook before - I went to a 500 GB drive pretty much as soon as they were available in the right physical size. At this point, I'm just afraid that I've reached the point of diminishing returns/the beginning of the end, whereby every dollar I spend on repairs is really just the gateway to another dollar to be spent on repairs. Of course each dollar invested makes it that much harder to walk away and just replace the thing.

I finally got a chance to download the first podcast yesterday. I just want to say that I really enjoyed it. The show is well put together and has a very polished and professional sound to it. Aaron, you did an excellent job as moderator and really kept the flow of the discussion going and on track. For a first time effort, I don't think we could expect anything better.

Friends home from WDW and said the Haunted Mansion mirrors were covered up. (The mirrors at end ride where you get a ghost hitchhiker in the car with you.). The words are the same. Anybody know what's up?

not that i hang out on another site, but, they have been talking about it for a few weeks. they are still going to have hitchhiking ghost but they are not going to be the "light on the mirror" type.

Yeah, read something a while back that they're working on something that might be more interactive with the hitchhiking ghosts (that's the rumor I've seen anyway). It said they're covering the mirrors and projecting the ghosts as hitchhikers with their thumbs up as you go by as a temporary thing until the new stuff is in place/ready to be seen. Don't know if all that's accurate, but that is what I've heard so far.

OK, Don, since you started it.........this is me and a couple Navy buddies on a one-day excursion to Disneyland in 1971. We were stationed in San Diego for RM "A" School at the time. I'm not the one with the hat! One of us asked Goofy how much he got paid and he actually responded....."Not enough!"

Sounds like a DisDads meeting in the making!!! We are staying at CBR.

You know, I really can't make up my mind about where the heck we should stay. It really is a crap shoot between CBR and POFQ. I may quit trying to figure it out, have the wife show DS the pools and say pick one. I have stayed at CBR twice before. Once when I was a freshmen in HS, and once on my delayed honeymoon. I didn't remember staying there the first time until I got there with my wife. (I remembered the visit, just not what resort it was). We have never stayed at POFQ before, and I just don't think I want to. This will be the first trip in which we actually enjoy our hotel room, because we will actually be taking days off from the park. I am really leaning towards CBR, but really, I have no idea. Thoughts?

According to some other parts of this board,http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2666544 they are just renovating the queue, but it sounds very cool and much more interactive.

This guy (or gal), http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=40310886&postcount=66 just got back from WDW and a CM told her it would be open within a month. Given my countdown (32 days now!), I've been following this closely.

ive stayed at both. i like cbr better. there almost identical as far as layout and rooms. there both quiet. i still like cbr.

Honestly, you're going to be at Disney World, I don't think there really is a wrong choice... go with the one you know and love or try something new. Neither option is bad. I'd say if you are in doubt, letting him pick by the pools might be a good way to figure out a plan. The pool may be his favorite part of the trip anyway.

I'm pretty sure I'm coming in last in the bracket pick this year. I'm struggling with my picks and keep making changes... that is never a good sign. First instinct is usually best and I don't even remember what my first instincts were.

i dont put anything past them anymore. this started a few weeks ago, a guy posted about they were going to change the hitchhiking ghost, and they beat the stuffin out of him.called him names and everything. im trying to find that thread again to see if he ever went back. he only had a few post and wow, he got beat up for starting that, to bad it was true.

Lol, good point about not being able to choose the wrong choice. DS is definitely a water bug, so it may be our best bet.
