color film not invented yet mike?:lmao: check out them pants! we were at my brother in laws last weekend. we were cleaning out an old closet in his attick, there was a leaser (cant spell it):lmao: from josephs in the closet. it was like brand new.:lmao:

I almost put that in my post but I didn't want to steal your one-liner, Dave! :lmao: Is that as in leisure suit? Or Leaser Lake? :lmao: A couple years back, I sold a fringed leather jacket that I bought at Judson-Bricker back before I went into the Navy (probably '69 or so). It was still in great shape. Too bad I'm not!

All of these Navy pictures reminds me of my FIL who is a naval veteran. He always tells me that "The Marine Corps (I am a Marine veteran) is a department of the Navy".:scared1: I have to remind him at that point that the Marine Corps is the "MEN'S" department. :rotfl::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hmmmmm, Men's Department, huh? Well, in the Navy we say the only good Marine is a sub-Marine! :lmao:

Anyway, speaking of the Navy and Marine Corps, here is a link that features my son with the Blues at their first air show on Saturday in El Centro. He is the tall, thin Crew Chief working for the Boss on the #1 jet.

It's excellent! If you're at all a "foodie", your DW will love it! Get the wine dinner and plan to sleep in the next day!

Here's a couple of photos. My DW finally made me put my camera away. :confused3

Just had to share this picture with you guys. Me... just out of Navy boot camp, 1991... at Magic Kingdom. If you look real close, you can make out a bucket or two from the old Skyway ride.

Now if this was the photo caption contest, I would label it, Yeah that's right the chicks dig me (as you make Perry the Platypus sounds to women walking by:lmao:)

Great pic Don, it's great to see you went home on your leave:cool1:

Aflac fired Gilbert Gottfried due to tweeting poor jokes about the earthquake and tsunami. I wonder... since Disney is restoring the Tiki Room from the fire damage, would they take the down time opportunity to yank Iago from it while they're at it?

+1 for getting a new duck voice over
+2 if the Tiki Room gets a new makeover

I started my son's new room, it's going to be all Dino's, with a 6ft x 4ft wallpaper Dino mural:banana:

I was hanging sheetrock all day and my son is quite excited about the room, he was the little helper, wearing his hard hat, tool belt, and all his fake tools:lmao: He wanted to help, so I gave him the job of handing me screws:woohoo:

Well of course the job took longer to do, since he was into everything:scared1:, but I didn't chase him away, I don't want to discourage him in any way, since I learned from my Dad, and if no one shows you how to do it, you learn the hard way or not at all:confused3

After hearing all the horror stories from my friends about some of thier kids (teenagers & young adults) that don't know how to do anything and don't care to learn:scared1: I got to break him in young while there is hope:confused3

It was really cute watching my son help though:goodvibes

PLEASE tell me you loaded that thing up like a catapult and launched peas at the next table. Please Please PLEASE tell me you did!

Great video! My goodness, your boy doesn't even need that silly ladder - just hop right up into the cockpit!
Thanks for sharing - when they come to Milwaukee we never get to see this part of the show because the main show area is at a beach several miles from the airport. The precision in just getting the planes ready is amazing. Thanks for sharing!

Sounds like a great project. You'll have to post some photos up once it's done.

Oh yeah, and owning a page. Now I can check that off the DisDad to do list. :O)

Heck, he's not even my own son and Im proud of him! That is very impressive. I have never seen them in person and I hope that they make it back out to Colorado again.

I've done the Seas Tour with my middle son. It was an amazing experience that he talks about all the time. Definitely a defining moment for him in terms of confidence building and memories. You spend about 30-45 minutes in the tank, using regulators that are very easy to use. There are sea turtles, rays and fish that swim all around you. The sharks mostly stay on the bottom (and you can't get down below the surface with the gear they have). My DS was 8 years old (almost exactly) when we did it, and wasn't especially proficient at snorkling, but it was real easy to do and he caught right on (shocking the CM!) They also give us a private tour of the manatees and the dolphin training, too, but I understand that there's no specific interaction planned with the dolphins. I think that our tour guide had a thing for the dolphin trainer and wanted to stop by to see her.

I wish I had, although by that point in the night, I was likely way too drunk to hit anything!!! :rotfl:

As long as you get the important things correct like ...oh I dont know......Morphine and Epinephrine!! :rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl2:

Got it! :thumbsup2

[sigh]
I put in Squeaker's NCAA Tournament Bracket. As you'll see, he insisted on picking the team that came first in the alphabet to win each game.

This is really a strong area for wrestling! Oh yeah, I quit my job so write away! :lmao:

Just watched the video with the kid and he really enjoyed it. Thanks for the evening entertainment! :O)

You're welcome! That is video 1 of 4 so there are some others to watch in the series of the jets actually flying.

Great video! My goodness, your boy doesn't even need that silly ladder - just hop right up into the cockpit!

Thanks! He is tall but he seems to look taller in some of these videos/photos!

Thanks! We're very proud of him and can't wait to see him over Memorial Day weekend in NJ. They will be in Grand Junction, CO, September 22-23 of 2012!
