Congratulations on the milestone!Well this is it #2000, All you guys are GREATand I'm proud to be a member of The Dis Dads
We have proven in the past we work well together
, Everyweek more Dads meet up
, I had a great time with all the Dads I've met so far, and look forward to meeting more in the future
I would have to say with all the different backrounds and jobs we all have, plus some teamwork there is almost nothing we can't accomplish
OK got to throw in a revised movie quote
We all share one common desire, that is the desire to part of the well oiled machinery that is The Dis Dads Club![]()
I thought it was probably something along those lines. A much needed service, but that has got to be tough seeing children in those kinds of conditions everyday. My hat's off to you.I don't mind. I'm pediatric critical care. So I only see kids in the ICU. My wife will tell you that if you have an ear infection, then I'm not your guy, but if you ever have a kid who's really sick, then call me. But she seems to take the antibiotic prescriptions without complaint!

Your shameless plug worked on me. The pics are great. No, H-E-double hockey sticks has not frozen over. But I did finally update my trip report with a new chapter! I know it's not much to be reporting about, but if you knew how swamped I am work and home - then you would understand the fanfare.
Even though the pictures were not shot with my new DSLR, I used Adobe Lightroom on them to start some post-processing techniques. I hope you like them.

(Heck, who am I kidding... this whole POST is a shameless plug, huh?)![]()

ummm didn't we have a DIS Dad over in Japan?
Can't remember his name real or screen?
Anyway hope he and his family are well after the earthquake.
My in-laws are Japanese but they are in Kyoto. As of now we haven't been able to reach them but since they are far away we are hoping they are fine.
That's good to know. Now I guess we just have to hope that there aren't any major aftershocks. The Tsunamis are the major concern at the moment, but so far (outside of the first waves in Japan which were devastating) have been minor.

That's some scary stuff. I'm sure if they're far from where everything happened they're probably safe, but it sounds like the infrastructure situation throughout the country is going to be a mess for a while. Thoughts and prayers with the people going through all that mess over there.
Looking for idea's for the kids for March Break next week.
Wife is working, they will be home with me.?

Blargh.
Nothing like heading up to bed at midnight, and discovering a pile of kid puke on the bed when you get there.
Apparently, Squeaker went into our room looking of us last night. DW was in the guest room with The Bug (long story, not really relevant here). I was downstairs watching basketball. He said he, "couldn't see me, because it was dark." He puked, and then just put himself back to bed.
When I noticed what had happened, I checked to make sure Squeaker was OK, stripped the bed, changed the sheets, and then brought him into the newly-cleaned-up bed with me for the night. He seemed just fine this morning, so it must have either been something he ate or just too much sinus drainage. Of course, it meant that I was up on and off all night, as Squeaker has this habit of turning horizontal in the bed and "head-butting" in his sleep (for lack of a better term).
Needless to say, I called in and took a day of leave for today.
No Americans killed or injured as reported by US Embassy.
Japan has pretty stringent Earthquake construction standards, but 8.9 is tough for any place, regardles of preparedness.
If that had been Haiti, the country would have fallen off Hispianiola and into the sea!!
