Friends, I have a new request for you, if you would, please.
Just in tonight, news from California that my 93 yr old grandmother fell today and broke her left hip. It's a pretty severe break at the joint, and surgery is pending probably on Friday... though the doctors are very concerned as apparently she's been having heart troubles as well. (No one in the family knew this prior to her falling apparently).
Plus, my uncle, her son, has had a bad spike in his EKG score and is facing a bit of concern from his doctors as well. He had a stent put in back in Septebmer the last time his numbers were this high. My grandfather died of a massive heart attack at 63 back in '79 - and my uncle is 65, so naturally he, my dad, and my aunts are concerned. (Side note - my dad, who is older than my uncle - praises his birthday each year since he adds a year to "beating" his dad. We laugh each time he says it, but it is so very true).
So if you don't mind, and I know you don't, some heavenward conversations would be appreciated when you have some time to share. Thank you!
mini van fed, need a mini van.Stopher....Done.
Man,
The bad part about being the only family member with a pickup truck...guess who gets asked to move everyone.![]()
Well, if you take the seats out, you can still fit some pretty big stuff in there, so he still could be the family's moving man. Especially if you go the hatch open with bungee straps route.mini van fed, need a mini van.![]()
Nemisis...
prayed for.
Podcast...
It tell you what...that was fun...while I didn't have much input (partly due to stage fright...and fear of sounding like a hick)...I felt like that sounded very profesional. Aaron you were perfect as our host!!! Major kudos to Aaron.
Was a great quasi-meet for the Disdads too...while we do not have picture...hopefully we will have a download in the near future.
prattpak...I suggest a snipit from the Soarin Soundtack as the intro music.
and the outro too.![]()
I was thinking a little snipit of IASW followed by the sounds from the shower scene in Psycho!!![]()

I would say start with the Jaws music
duh duh.............duh duh.........duh duh...Duh Duh..DUH DUH. DUH DUH. DUH DHU DUH DUH, then launch immediately into "it's a world of laughter, a world of tears, it...", then follow that up with the Psycho effects!
Ok, I like where this is going...now how about we remove the Psycho sound effects and replace them with with sound effects from any highly explosive battle scene from a war movie?

And here is yours truly, enjoying the fruits of the Packer's labor:

Hello fellas !
I just joined the disboards, but have been reading them for awhile. I stumbled across your dad's group and had to try and join.
I am from Missouri, I have 5 kids. a 7 year old girl, 4year old boy girl twins and 1 year old identical twin girls. Yep back to back sets! We stay busy, and get lots of funny looks when we get out all the strollers at the mall.
Took them all to Disney for the first time 3 weeks ago, and are planning our return trip this november ( if I can talk the little woman into it).![]()
Anyway thanks for letting me in (hopefully)

As the proud owner of 2 trucks and an SUV... I'd stick with the truck.![]()
That's because you're doing it wrong... you're supposed to use a piece of duck tape to hold the switch down so the van thinks the door is closed.the darn bungie cord idea is a good one but the vans interior lights stay on and there a loud bing.bing, bing evey two seconds.
Yes. Yes it is.Ummmm Barry? Is that a mini basketball net in your dining room?
If soCOOL!
Bonus points if there is a garbage pail under it!

About 2 years ago when DS was potty training, part of the deal was that if went so long with out an accident, we would go to Toys R Us and let him pick out anything he wanted, within reason. (You call it a bribe, I call it not having to change diapers anymore!)
Anyway, he picked out a Fisher Price Basketball hoop that expands from 4' to 8'. The ceiling in the basement playroom is pretty short (about 7' and even lower where there is duct work), as is the ceiling in his room. So the only logical spot is the dining room, with it's hardwood floors and 9' ceiling. We applied for a zoning variance from DW, who granted it. Now every couple of days the table and chairs get pushed to the corner and the mini basketball comes out!

My wife now accosts people about Disney. I've made a true convert!Yes, the podcast was a blast! Aaron you were a great moderator. Kept things going smoothly and professionally. Thank you for doing this. My wife only mocked me a little bit...
Can I get this as a ringtone? For a theme, I still liked (Mark's?) idea about the Small World theme interupted by gunshots at the end.
I didn't know this needed to be a Man Law. I'll second that. Corrolary to be if in used in jest and only if related to one's status as a nemesis of the other party and/or in relation to regular banter regarding professional sports teams. Soccer is, and shall forever be, open to public mocking. And as to Nate "sounding like a hick". That's ridiculous. I believe that a good new rule would be that a DIS dad would never insult another DIS dad like that (unless its already a rule). Seconded?
You should really get Tim to buy you a new tie. It's horrible what he did to it.Had a meet up with Tim (that's nice) today. Our first (and hopefully our last) meet in a hospital. Our beads are from his DD.

I was lobbying for a hockey net in the dining room but DW said the power wheels Zamboni would mess up the hardwoods.
Anyone who says you aren't supposed to bribe kids either doesn't have kids or spends their time reading parenting books while someone else takes care of their kids.
