And.....now I'm finally old enough to send a PM. Clearscreen, I'll send you my email. I'd love to do the draft live, but I can't do the 23rd because....

I'll be at Disney World!!! That's right, Spring Break here in sunny FL that week and I'll be at Bay Lake Towers from 3/20 - 3/25. And before that, I'll be taking my son to the Braves/Mets game on 3/5, so I'm really looking forward to March.

All set.

For all interested, we still have plenty of spots available.

Best team name so far - Winnie the Pujols (GoHerd)

I'm in. My team is currently named the Splash Mountaineers, but that's subject to change. My initial choice, The Laughin' Place Rabbits, was too long so I had to come up with an alternative on the fly.

Being a Marshall Alum ....anything with the word Mountaineers causes me chest pain because it brings mack too many memories of WVU
!:rotfl2:

So, I think I might be getting a bit carried away with the advance-planning bug that's bitten me lately.

I just ran some numbers, and realized that I could probably save a lot of money on tickets long-term if I buy tickets sometime before the anticipated August price increases for this year for trips that we plan on taking as many as six years down the road.

It's got me thinking that we might actually be able to squeeze in an adults-only trip for our fifteenth wedding anniversary, which would occur within the same 12-month period as our next anticipated trip (making APs for that year for Mrs. AJRitz and me make sense, and opening up discount opportunities that come with the APs).

Am I crazy to look at spending a few thousand dollars over the next six months on tickets for trips that we won't even start taking for another two years? By my calculations, and anticipating approximately 5% annual price increases, we'd save over $1,500 on tickets by buying now, AND get to take an extra adults-only trip.

Thoughts?

Has anyone seen the new planning DVD? They kind of mentioned a upgrade on startours 3D video. New format! Ready in 2011? Does anyone know when this is really going to happen? :confused3

Now alot of you have been through this so I have to ask, My son is ready to lose 2 teeth soon, he lost 2 a few months ago, The Tooth Fairy (me) gave him $10 a tooth, most everyone I know says I'm crazy, but he puts in his piggy bank and every $20 he saves in his piggy bank we go to the Disney Store and get a GC so he can get stuff at WDW:confused3:yay:

The way I look at it is we would be spending the money at WDW on him anyway, by doing this it teaches him the value of money somewhat, he knows he can only get so much for each card during the day, plus it insures that the money we would spend on toys and trinkets is in place:woohoo:

I know when I was a kid I got 25 cents a tooth:lmao: But now that you know how I put it in place the reasoning is it still crazy:confused3

Ethan has lost 2 teeth so far...and we gave 5 bucks tooth...he wanted the Tooth Fairy to bring him 20 :rotfl2:

Yes, you're crazy! Been there, done that, have the T-shirt. :yay::yay:

But at the risk of being shouted down, you never know what discounts are coming down the pike. Who would've imagined that the economy would still be in the toilet after this long? If attendance is still low, Disney will offer all sorts of deals over the next few years. You know what they say, men plan, God laughs.

That being said, I'd probably buy the tickets. :cool1:

Hey there guys.

Can I just say that I hate being sick. I was laid up all day Thursday and Friday, and finally got mobile today (still have nasty sinus pressure though). I can't remember the last time I called in sick for 2 consecutive days.

On the Tooth Fairy front:
I'm torn on the numbers, we typically give $1 for each tooth, but I agree with the concept of the Disney $s. My initial reaction is that 10D$ is a bit high, but given our purchasing history at WDW, I would agree that its just pre-purchasing the expense of buying merchandise at WDW and I can see how that would be a fair trade off.

I was laid up a couple of weeks ago, whatever is going around (here at least) dosn't completly go away soon, I'm feeling better now but even after a Z-pack it lasted another 2weeks (not as bad, but still there) it probably didn't help that my wife and son got it too:confused3, my wife and son are still on meds, still trying to figure out why the doc gave them almost 2weeks of meds and I got only 5:confused3

I got my team registered. Being the big Texas Rangers fan I am, my team is the JUNGLE (Nelson) CRUZ.

Looking forward to this fun fantasy league!

Oh man, my son used to write these looooong notes to the Tooth Fairy asking her questions like where she lives and what she does with the teeth she collects.....then he would segue into his request to ask for expensive toys or such. It was fun for the first couple of teeth, but after ten teeth or so, I began to dread waiting for him to respond and then try to pen some believable response at 11:00 at night with my left hand using a purple Sharpie. My wife used to love reading his notes. He wouldn't tell us he wrote them....he did it himself and left it under his pillow. He wasn't being greedy or anything, he just had no concept of how much some things cost, and she was the tooth fairy after all!!

We usually left him baseball cards or hotwheels or small action figures, usually no more than $4-$5 or so. Ah, memories.....

This reminds me of this past Christmas...Ethan asked us what we wanted him to tell Santa to bring us. I told him that it was ok that we didnt want to overload Santa...He said....''He wont care...it's free!":rotfl2: ahh the innoncense of youth LOL

One weird thing I forgot to mention is my son's only request, that the tooth fairy does not take the tooth because he needs them for DNA experiments:lmao:

That's funny! You could have been mean and left a note from the tooth fairy....."Oh...okay, well I was going to leave an Xbox under your pillow, but if you really need to keep your tooth, I understand. I had to keep the Xbox though, y'know, rules and all...no tooth, no present." I can't imagine the look on his face the next morning. :rotfl2:
