Hi guys...just stopping in to say hello. I haven't been on in a while as work seems to have taken a bit of my time lately. Hope everyone is keeping warm!

*BREAKING NEWS* All kids with their name starting with A - Z have been recalled by all local hospitals because they forgot to install the mute & stop buttons!!!:thumbsup2

:happytv:
do you do when your wife plans a Disney trip with her sister and mother and conveniently leaves you out of the trip?? Elbow drop from the top rope?? Figure 4 leg lock??? Sleeper hold??? Any advice is appreciated.

Was it a girls only trip? My BIL pulled some $h!t. We offered to use DVC points to take his family on vacation. He first said yes, then demanded we move the vacation to a different month for him, and then demanded we pay for their tickets as well. Guess what my response was? We're not talking again & it's just the 4 of us going. Some people are just ....

Well, I finally started my full-blown trip report from our recent trip. There is not much there yet, but I suspect it will be a long, drawn-out report that may last into the summer. :lmao:

Anyway, here is the link.

Once again I'm disappointed in investment opps, this time it's Disney stock, I wanted to buy some shares last year when it was $32 and change, my wife was against it, since the market was unstable, I looked at the price of Disney stock today and it's $43 and change:scared1:

The last time something like this happened I would have made a mint on a car, but she wouldn't let me sell the Stangs to buy it:scared1:

I guess the next time I see something I think will pan out, I should just go for it and not tell her:confused3

Okay... why this doesn't work for me, I don't know.

Point is, I had a Dole Whip (first one ever) on January 1st. :woohoo:
I want another...

I still have not had a Dole Whip as many times as I've been to WDW!:confused3 I don't care if it's 20 below zero my next trip...I will have one!!!!

Me neither... I"ve never been a big pineapple fan, but after spending as much time around here as I have lately, I'm definitely intrigued and have to at least give it a try. I will definitely be having one when we go this fall.

I had my first one in December when I made an unexpected day trip to Disneyland. It wasn't as good as I had hoped:confused3 It was edible but I had expected it to be a bit more flavorful. I was glad I tried it however, as I can now cross that off my list of things to do in Disney!

Hey everyone. I'm back after my trip to WDW this week. I'm not sure if I'll do a trip report but I will share a few thoughts.

- the new Castle show is fantastic. I was a little worried it would be lame but it is definitely worth seeing. It starts around 7:45 or so and Wishes runs right after it.

- I did the Keys to the Kingdom tour and I cannot recommend this enough. It was about a 5 hour tour including lunch and I absolutely loved it. If anyone wants any further details, let me know.

- I also did the Wild Africa trek. It was good but I was not as impressed with this one as the Keys to the Kingdom. I would not do it once the price increases as I do not believe it to be worth $189.

- This week was a fantastic week for crowds. I walked on Test track, went on Soarin when there was absolutely no line for the Stand by (the line began around the corner past the Fastpass collector) and was able to get two fastpasses for Toy Story in the same day which has never happened before. As a bonus, I got to see Aaron Rodgers in the parade and watching the Super Bowl in WDW was really cool as they had a room set up at the Beach Club where there were a lot of people watching it.

- my first stay at Old Key West and I really enjoyed it. It is a big resort and I was close to the main area. I can see it being an issue if you were far away from the main area. One downfall was the food at Goods to go. It was horrible.

- another great pizza and service at Via Napoli. Love this place.

That's it for now. Looking forward to my next trip in August.

This morning, I began my last day in a job that I have done for more than 11 years. The group that I work with took me out to lunch yesterday, and it is very rare that we all go out together. I think that it has happened four times in total.

Monday I start with a new department in the same company doing something completely different. Just a strange feeling when you've done one thing for so long and then you make a change.

There will still be travel involved, but instead of all of North America (and a few trips overseas), I will primarily be in the Northeast region. While I haven't had the opportunity to meet up with any other dads yet, maybe I'll still have the chance with some of you in that area.

On another note, I'll pay the remainder on our cruise today! :cool1:

My OT from last weeks check made our 1st payment for our October cruise!!! :rotfl: cant wait to be able to say I paid it off on my own. If I get 7.5 hours of OT on each check per week then itll be easily paid off!! WOOT!!! Congrats!!

If I could keep my OT for savings, I could use it for Disney every year. But, we "pay bills" instead... Responsibility is a real pain in the Peanut Butter sometimes.

and, my coworkers are headed to Happy Hour tonight. And, i didn't get an invitation. I couldn't go, and they know I couldn't go. I think that's why I didn't get invited. Still, While Grocho Marx may think he doesn't want to be a member of a club that would have him as a member, I'm awesome! I'd love to go to happy hour. I'll probably have my own Happy Hour after everyone's asleep. A few movies and some Jameson (or Sam Adams Light) while folding Laundry. Ah, Friday Nights...

I've actually got a hot date tonight. The annual Roosevelt Elementary Father/Daughter Dance! DD picked out a nice purple tie for me to match her purple dress. Of course, I'll take her out to dinner first. McDonalds, here we come!

I may be in danger of getting my Man card revoked but Im going to post it anyway...I have a Daddy/Daughter date tonight as well. Taking her out to Tuk Tuk's for sushi (her idea) and then....wait for it.....the Justin Beiber movie (her idea too I SWEAR).
Everybody picks on Justin,,,,why cant they just leave her alone?

Daddy/Daughter dances are reason number 23 why i do not have daughters....reason number 1 being...i just don't have daughters. :thumbsup2

Daddy/Daughter dance with The Bug is still two weeks away.

Meanwhile, it looks like we've got another sleepover tonight at our house. The girls are actually remarkably well-behaved. I think we're taking the whole crew (including Squeaker) to see "Gnomeo & Juliet". It always cracks me up when they're at the house for an overnight, because Squeaker has a HUGE crush on one of the Bug's friends, and I can't help but be amused watching them interact.
