Yeah...I love fantasy football but fantasy baseball is my baby. Been doing it since we had to do it by hand tabulating weekly results from Baseball America pubications (they would publish the entire previous weeks boxscores) roto style. A few years later Prodigy (as basically a fancy bulletin board since the internet hadn't taken off yet) made things a lot easier by putting your player results into a pool over several weeks and then starting the season with head-to-head game play randomly plugging in results that had already been previously played. The interesting part there was you knew which of your players had started hot and when you had already used most of their best games over that period of time. These days its cake keeping up with things compared to then.

I do both weekly and daily changes no problem, so just let me know what we want to do!

Actually, I did wonder your all's thoughts on On-line check in at POR?

we are arriving in Orlando on Sunday, staying at a downtown disney hotel, then checking in Monday Morning. Should I DO on-line check-in now? I know i've asked, and aside from less time in line, why do on-line check-in? Something about room requests?:confused3

Pray for good weather on interstates 64, 57, 24, 75, and then the Florida turnpike on Christmas day night and the Boxing Day, please!

I had debated whether or not to do the online check in this year and chose NOT to. Couple of reasons - We had specific room requests (check out the TR :rolleyes1) and we usually show up at a slow time so check in has been a breeze anyway.

Praying for safe travels for you and your family :thumbsup2

OK I started my TR. Tonite when I get home from work I'll be asking how to link it to my sig:confused3 You would think it would do it automaticly:confused3

But Don...think about it this way... having "store credit" just means you get to plan another trip! ;)

LOL... this DID cross my mind.. :rolleyes1

We're doing the same with our June trip. We're lucky this time because there is a chance that we may be able to fly from Asheville instead of having to go to Charlotte, but, with the looming gas hike, who knows what that will do to flight prices. We always leave the drive option open, and from where we are, it's only 10 hours (and not a bad drive to boot), but I had really rather fly if we can get a good price.

We have yet to drive to WDW... which has been awesome! Not sure I'd like the 14 hour road trip... but who knows! Maybe one day we'll give it a whirl. :dance3:

Fed ~ David has been working with the #1 jet, "The Boss", Cmdr Koss. It's quite an honor! He's feeling a lot more confident than he was a few weeks back. At the same time, I think he's looking forward to a little time off during the next week or so as they tend to work 15 hour days!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I have been sick as ****.

So, you were the contagious one I caught this thing from.

Just the opposite. We have yet to fly to WDW. DW keeps wanting me too, and I tell her she needs to stick to the family spending budget. It looks like we'll never be flying. :headache:

I'm with you....We always drive...even though it's 18 hours! I guess with two little girls we're better off. I would hate to pay for all the extra baggage fees for pack and plays, strollers, car seats...and all the other necessary items that small children require!

We tend to go to WDW during off seasons so we've never had much of a wait to get our room assignment. That said, when we went to POFQ in October '09, I did online check-in and it worked great for us. All of our paperwork, etc, was ready when we walked up to the counter! Took a couple minutes and we were on our way. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I'm hoping that the snow starts late in the day on Saturday. Gotta drive 1 1/2 hours to family houses on Christmas day after opening Santa gifts.

From National Lampoon's Vacation - Why aren't we flying? Because getting there is half the fun. You know that.

I just realized that I spent WAY too much time reading Captain_Oblivious' TR... :happytv:

We are in the middle of a split stay, and did on-line for both last week. I showed up Sat at OKW and the online check in process did not help. Check in took for ever and the woman at check in asked for all my info again too. Hopefully tomorrow's AKV check in goes smoother. The only previous time I had done it, was POP a 2 years ago, and it was great. No lines, just walked up gave my name, got a packet and was on my way in 3 minutes.

Will do. Like I posted before, I will make a general announcement here once I have the league set up sometime next year. I will then ask people to PM with their private E-Mail so I can invite them. This worked well for football.

As most people who play know, the key to any good fantasy league is owner participation, so I want to encourage people who will be there for the on-line draft and active throughout the year. It will be a no-money, trash talking league with the only real requirement being that your team must have a Disney-related name - the more clever and creative the better.

Not me I just picked it up on Sat.Wasn't to happy abput it. I play the roll of Santa at my family Christmas party.I didnt make it to the party so it was the year without a Santa Claus. Had about 30 children just waiting for Santa and he never showed.I also go around to several nieces and nephews and a few close friends as Santa on Christmas Eve ( good way to get the kids to go to bed lol). But if this thing doesnt move on I will not be doing thast this year either. So Sad

We got back a couple of days ago from a 12 day trip - 1.5 days driving each way from NJ and 9 days at WDW. We survived the great freeze of 2010. We had enough warm clothing so the cold didn't bother us and it did help keep the lines in the parks a little shorter. And for the first time ever we didn't have a single construction delay on 81/77/26/95. On the minus side, it was a bad couple of weeks to be a NY sports fan. Baseball, football, basketball, it doesn't matter. Boston and/or Philly are leaving us in the dust.

Thanks Don! I'm going to get my wife to do it so I don't mess it up. I also found a how to post photo thread , so I hope to be able to do photo's soon:confused3

Home again, home again jiggity jog…
Well we had a great little Christmas time expedition down to the World, but it is good to be back home (or at least it good just to be out of the car anyway). I’ll rummage through the pictures later, but I doubt I’ll have anything particularly hysterical or entertaining to show y’all (and writing a TR might get me thrown off the boards for being supremely boring), but suffice it to say, we had a wonderful stay. If I remember anything interesting I’ll let you know, but I’ve got regular work to get back to and a whole lot of household work as well for the holidays (not to mention I’m way behind on our little thread as well).

Bonus! Ownage…

Hello Dis Dads, Sorry I havent been on for a while as I had been swamped at work. I just wanted to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone, and now I am within 6 months for my next trip to WDW. Happy Holidays to all!!!

Expanding the family today... (ie getting a dog)

Oh boy. :)

Going from man-to-man (me/wife vs 2 kids) to zone defense (2 on 3)

Merry Christmas

Pics of the dog later if I get a chance
