I know we have a lot of Eagles fans around here, and I'd like to have some insight on this from the perspetive of a Philly fan, but what is the deal with DeSean Jackson? I think the last time there were headlines like this involving an Eagle at the goal line it involved Westbrook taking a knee.:rotfl2:

I guess all said, Jackson's little show is really all in fun compared to what happened on the Jets sideline yesterday. There should definitely be a suspension there, if not something more. Must be a student from the Woody Hayes school of football coaching.:lmao:

Also, Barry, glad to see you could make it!
It was a close one. We landed about 45 minutes late and headed straight for DTD. So glad you guys waited around for me!

Awesome guys. Glad to see that you all could get together and that the FrozenMonkey was able to wear his official Dis Dads Club Meetup Shirt. :thumbsup2

First thought that came to my mind though was "I hope Barry has washed that sweatshirt." :rotfl2:
Did you notice that none of they guys around me had a sour look on their faces from the smell of an unwashed shirt? That's because the cold helped hold the smell down!:rotfl2:

Naa dont feel bad I think it is hillarious!!~!:rotfl2: It is like we are stalking each other LOL Maybe yoiu could be my nemesis LOL
Sorry, Steve. That position has been filled. :thumbsup2

Hey love Disney and would love to join this group. Our next trip to Disney is in May and then a Fantasy cruise in June 2012, can't wait.:yay:
Welcome aboard! What Bucks are you referring to in your username? Ohio State? Milwaukee's NBA team?

Dang....I'm missing all the fun....Nice pic of the Five Man Wrecking Crew:lmao:

Wanted to get down last week....got thrown a curve....

Want to get down this week...well, that's still up in the air at this point:guilty:
Oh, we were pretty sure you were there in spirit. And probably watching live security video streams. At one point we all looked at the Walt/Mickey statue and waved. They have a hidden camera in there, right?

LOL

I was disappointed he didn't wear the 'right' sweatshirt.... I let him know it. :rotfl::rotfl:
It does ocassional get washed, you know. DW makes me. :sad2:

Hit all 4 parks plus the WL today, & Yak & Yeti for lunch. Yummmmmmm. I took Barry along...via text. THAT was fun - for me, at least! ;)
Yeah, he sends me updates about crossing things off of his to-do list, but doesn't tell me what we're doing. "#1 done, heading north on OBA". "#2 is done, heading to MGM" :lmao:

I learned about the Dad's Club reading dvczerfs on the 2,000+ mile drivers transportation thread so I figured I'd come over and have a look. Also we're leaving to go down in about 11 hours and although I love going I hate packing. I see that you guys assign membership numbers. I find that a little intimidating because once I have a number I'll feel obligated to post regularly and I'm kind of.....well I guess lazy is a good word, although give me a couch and a tv remote and my thumb will get quite a good workout. We started going in the late 80s when our kids were very young. I have to admit I was kind of dragged down there the first time. We went every other year until the mid 90s when we started going every year. Recently we've been going twice a year. Notice a trend here? Anyway, since you guys seem to have such a good time, I think I'll become a regular reader if only an occasional poster. I'll check in with you from WDW.
Welcome to the club!

I did notice that there was some Dad purporting to be the Frozen Monkey, but it couldn't have been him since he wasn't wearing official garb. :rotfl2:
Carl caught me in Epoct and chastised me for not wearing it. I guess that shirt has taken on a life of it's own...
Also I think Zerfs is running away with the title of "Most DisDads Met". :thumbsup2
Yeah, but as far as I can recall, I'm the only one with a "middlepat meetup" merit badge!:thumbsup2

Proud new member here (once I've posted up a bit, that is)

Heading to the World 12/26 until 1/1. Can't wait to tell ya all about it.

Me (34) DW (35), DS (5), DD (2)
Welcome aboard! Have a great trip. And we can't wait to hear about it.

I hear you got a few inches of snow last night... Have fun in Wisconsin! :rotfl::rotfl:
Dude...everyone has fun in Wisconsin. :cool1:
He may even like it so much that he'll get his own Bucky Badger Hoodie.

Still sorting pictures, but I'll be back later with some others from the meets I was able to get to. I was close to meeting up with prattpak, but we were on opposite sides of the park and never got to find each other.

alright!!! That's when we're going to be there! FINALLY, i can plan a DISDad meet!

Back home and back at work.
Wind chill is -10°.
Post-vacation depression has set in.
1811 pictures to go through, plus an additional 400 or so on the Photopass, plus 138 minutes of video.
Trip report will come. Once I dig out from the blizzard.

Sigh.

and i was complianing about the 2 inches on the ground in the STL.
Side note: If anyone remembers the 2011 mustang from the pic in July, it was out in the snow. and i'm not a "bad" driver, but the rear wheel drive is tricky to get used to. 3010 miles on it and i have to drive it in the snow

Coming from an Eagles fan: he's a wide receiver. Are his antics any different from T.O., Ochocinco, Randy Moss, or any of the other "me-first" diva receivers out there? I didn't see where his flop into the end zone warranted all sorts of headlines, as though it was any worse than any other receivers have done.

That being said, I wish he'd quit showboating. It's annoying, it looks stupid, it serves to motivate the other team, and it gets flagged for 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalties. Act like you've been there before.

You make a good point about him being like all the other diva receivers, but there is one significant difference between him and the others... they typically wait until AFTER they score to celebrate. :rotfl2: :lmao:

I guess where I was coming from is the perspective that if I were an Eagles fan, after seeing him toss the ball down before crossing the goal line as a rookie, it would absolutely drive me nuts seeing him still doing something like that. At least he didn't pull a sharpie out and ask Vick to autograph the ball for him... yet.

It absolutely does drive me nuts. Especially when I sit through the inevitable 15-yard penalty. Every fan hates brain-dead behavior. I just hate it when the media treats it as though it's something new that we've never seen before.

I don't really think they're treating it any differently that I've noticed.:confused3 T.O. and Chad always got this kind of attention back when they were significant and did things like that. They've kind of toned it down a bit lately anyway, but that's probably because they have their own TV show to show off on now.

Also... not sure if there are many Big Ten fans here, but just saw that the new divisions are called Legends and Leaders... and the new logo looks like it was done with Microsoft Word. Not a big Jim Delaney fan right now... especially since he's one of the conference commissioners leading the fight against a football playoff. I don't see why they couldn't just be like every other conference and make it North and South... if the "Leaders" were South, Wisconsin would be the only one notably out of place...

Sorry, slow day at work, and in case you couldn't tell I'm checking out all the sports headlines.

I bought the picture! THANKS! :thumbsup2
I saw that and hope you enjoy it!

You have some absolutely amazing shots in there. Besides this one, I like the castle and Everest at night.
I've got 15 more shots to go into the gallery and I hope to get them completed by the end of the week. There are a few on my wife's camera that we may upload later but editing the images and getting them print ready takes a while so that may not make it up to the site for a while. Just got the last 16 captioned. :)

Ian, I've been meaning to check in with you about her. We're praying for her recovery and for you and the kids to have the patience and grace to help her.

Ian, sorry to hear about your wife. Hopefully she'll get everything straightened out soon.

Kim update! She's doing MUCH better! She now remembers just about everything and is caught up enough to be frustrated that she missed the last two weeks or so. YAY! Now she wants to drive... uh... no. :scared:

Awesome. Best news I've heard all day.:thumbsup2

Great news! Is there anything physically keeping her from driving?:confused3 Is that a doctor mandated limitation, or Ian mandated?
Definitely want to make sure that everything is all straightened out before she gets behind the wheel though.

Excellent news. Thanks for keeping us updated.

Less than an inch of snow here and school cancelled. It is terribly cold, but I hate school lasting in June for silly make-up days. Tomorrow is 1 hour delay. That's better.

That being said, I wish he'd quit showboating. ... Act like you've been there before.

I can't disagree more. The No Fun League needs to return to letting players have some fun which makes it fun for the fans. I remember the Icky Shuffle, Dirty Bird, and I loved TO and the Sharpie. But, my favorite was Primetime high-stepping into the end zone, followed by the dance. I'm surprised the NFL hasn't fined the Bears for replays of the Superbowl Shuffle.

This is a test to see if I can remember how to post pictures lol

Whoa… I just can’t seem to come up for air long enough to even keep up around here any more. I need a vacation! Oh wait… Four more days and I get to take one!

We can’t leave out of here until Friday afternoon, but our drive isn’t quite the marathon some of y’all have to make. I don’t think there are going to be any other regular members down there during out little stay, so DDC-meets are probably not happening, but I know we’ll have a great time none the less. I haven’t been on-world during the holidays since 2002, so I’m seriously looking forward to this trip

Very glad to here that she it doing better, but I’m sorry to here that she’s having problems at all. We’ll keep all of you in mind and look forward to hearing more good news.

Hey guys since I am not a writer lol would this constitute a trip report??

We had a great time in Dinsey

The end

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

(By the way… Ownage!)

Sleep, I need sleep!!! I just got home from work and I have had 10 hours of sleep since Friday!!! I have been at work with only 2 or 3 hours breaks between call ins!:sad1: I am think I am about to lose my mind!!!

Ian I am so glad to hear of your wife's recovery!!! We have been praying for her and will continue to do so!;)

Barry, Dave, and Carl, ha ha ha...your back home and at work:laughing: Now you know what I was like last week while you guys were still able to have fun in the happiest place on earth!

You Dads who have my cell number...please feel free to continue to text anytime.....I was not a texter at all until the DDC meet of 2010!:rotfl2:

I think I might go to bed now before I totally collaps....Is it Friday yet? ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz

Just kidding will try to do a report soon

That may be the best trip report of all time. Clear, concise, and to the point. And, you don't have to spend months writing it.

Rental01: Awesome news on DW!!! :thumbsup2 Glad she's getting back her memories.

FreezinRafiki: Somehow the weather went from 80 degrees and sunny to snowy and Freezin overnight around here... just about the time you got back to this quadrant of the country... not that I'm blaming it ALL on you...yet. :rotfl2:

NFL Celebrations: As a Bears fan, I wish that the NFL would ban the SuperBowl Shuffle. That has got to be the worst shot video / music ever recorded. Besides, McMahon is a punk, and not in a cool way.

DisneyDadC: Best. Trip Report. Ever. Now the question remains, if Don wrote this report how long would it take him to complete it? :lmao:

Dis Dads in December: Welcome back to those of you who have returned, Hope you're having fun for those who are at WDW, and I'm jealous of those about to head down.

Holiday Card Exchange: If any Dads want to get in on the holiday card exchange, I'm accepting mailing addresses via PM until Wednesday. After that I will compile a list of addresses and pass that along to those who have joined.

Looks like I'm going to bring Philadelphia sports up again today... just took a look at the Phillies' new pitching rotation and I threw up in my mouth a little bit. Who needs Jayson Werth when nobody can score against you?
