Good job meeting up with Ron! Sorry you're suffering so much in Florida...

Ok, not really. :rotfl2:

By the way, the MLB winter meetings are taking place down there. Can you guys pop in and let me know what the Phillies are going to do about replacing Jayson Werth?

Being at the Boardwalk, the Swan was on our bus route. Everytime we stopped there my wife and I were looking for Jim Hendry (GM of Cubs). If I had the chance I would have let him know how badly we need to unload Soriano, Ramirez, and Zambrano- but with those salaries, I'd say we're stuck with them. Don't complain about the Phillies- you added Ryne Sandberg to the organization. THAT is a gut-wrenching development for a guy like me who grew up watching the best second baseman of that era.

Dave...I've noticed something...you seem to spend allot of your WDW time at Epcot...do we have a favorite park?

I'll bet you could get unlimited rides with :figment:

Figment broke down on 12/7. With me on it.

Quick update:

Got back from the world on 11/27 - Wife had a stroke on 11/28 sometime in the morning. These are not abnormal for us but her losing 7 years of memories is. We've been getting things back in order since then while she recovers. So far she has recovered her memories up to about a year ago and is still working on this last year. She still doesn't remember our trip to Disney. No, that doesn't mean I get a free trip back so I can remind her.

Since I'm not the kind of guy who likes to beat around the bush, here's my best shot, I think, ever:

You should see it on a monitor blown up to it's full 4000x3200 resolution. Pah-retty!

What a gorgeous photo!

Hi Guys. I signed on to the club a couple years ago, but due to time constraints Ive been away from the boards and The World for too long...sorry. I thought when my son went off to college 2 yrs ago i would have a bit more time, but being a single dad home alone with a teenage daughter has proven more of a challenge than I expected:confused3:scared1:(brings back memories of the show "8 Simple rules for dating my Daughter). Sometimes I think I should have named her Bridget.

I'm in the process of trying to catch up on old posts and planning a trip to WDW:woohoo: this upcoming summer.

Welcome back!!

Glad you made it home safe and sound Dave. It was a pleasure meeting you in person as well. :)

I'm so sorry to hear this... I hope she gets her memory back soon. I will be keeping you guys in my prayers.

I'm saying a prayer for your wife right now!....and yes that shot of Spaceship Earth is AWESOME!!!!! I'd pay money for a framed picture of that shot!:thumbsup2

Really sorry to hear about your wife. Hope that things go well and she regains all of her memory.

Thank you all for the prayers. This is something we've lived with for a while but the memory loss always makes things hard on us. It just takes time, patience, and faith. :)

It's the last picture in the set and I put the pricing on the entire gallery to cost. What you pay there is what I pay as a professional member. I wanted to make sure that any of the DisDads who wanted a copy of my shots could have them for cheap. :) That's better than a real TR, right?

For DHS fans, there's this one as well:

Not bad for a shot from a moving tram. :)

Welcome back!!
Thanks! I really appreciate it!

Dave ~ Welcome back to our wonderfully lousy weather! Glad you had a great time and a safe trip!

Anyway, my 16gb memory card started eating pics on my first day so I had to swap to my old 8GB card and play it safe. Ultimately I left with 533 pictures total, 63 made it out of lightroom. 95% of them are pics of princesses (my daughter getting autographs with them) with a few artsy fartsy shots mixed in.

I still have 23 pictures to finish editing and upload but the link to the gallery is here. FYI: I kept the dream alive and watched other people do ToT over and over. Those people are suckers. More power to them. :)

Now I'm off to bed because we have two parades in the morning that my Young Marines are marching in. Go-go parade weather (20s and breezy).

sorry to hear about dw, hope shes fee;img better soon!!:thumbsup2

Dang. Woke up to 4 inches of snow on the ground here in the mountains of NC today. I knew something was up when I couldn't hear the cars going by on the highway. Pics to come later.

Ian,

Sorry to hear about your wife. I hope that she can recover the rest of her memories.

So DW and I were reviewing holiday cards and I was thinking that it would be nice to exchange cards with the Dis Dads. I know we all have different beliefs/traditions so I thought I'd do it this way... if you would like to exchange cards, provide your mailing address to me in a Private Message. I'll compile the list and reply to those who provide mailing details. If you do not want to partake, please ignore me.

So given the time of year etc. I'll accept mailing address details upto Wednesday Dec. 15. After that I'll compile all addresses and respond on Friday with the complete list to all participants.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend, and no one is adversely affected by the weather.

Go Bears!
