I had a bad case of Thermal Engine Meltdown in the grocery store the other day. As a matter of fact, it happened in the coffee section. I can tell you this; if you are going to have a case of Thermal Engine Meltdown in the grocery store, you want it to happen in the coffee section. Lots of aromas to cover it up

OK got to hear what happened, since the grocery store is my bread and butter for the last 24 years, maybe I can offer some advice

Let's just put it like this. We were walking around getting our groceries and a major gas bubble hit me. I mean MAJOR, double over in pain kind of major. Well, we were in the coffee aisle, so blasted one right there on the spot. The smell of the different coffees was a great cover up. I'm just glad that someone didn't come up after we left the area and wonder what that new coffee smell was. Of course, DW just rolled her eyes and walked away

Oh yeah... completely agree... these newer engines just aren't the same. But, the extra weight loss is a bonus

As far as Christmas Town in BG this year I don't think we will make it due to the WDW trip, when I get back the store will be full swing Christmas, it's ashame since I still have 2 personal days left to use, I guess I'll just take the cash. We will be getting our SP for all the Busch parks again in August, this is the off year, but I like to get my monies worth with the year and a half deal, Good news is I already have 2 nights free stay over at Kingsmill for next year

You were just marking your territory, If you had to check yourself that could lead to a meltdown It would really be funny if someone said wow that coffee smells good I wonder what one it is

Wow, I would love to go to Disneyland to see that show Stopher. Really cool pictures... It's like the Bellagio fountains and Illuminations gave birth to a whole new monster of a show.

Yep, the Bellagio's was the impetus... and it went from there. Just like Fantasmic!, the Bellagio's technology is now simplistic in 2010 compared to what went in to creating WOC. Skipped the "forced fun" dinner/activity tonight so I could come back over & watch WOC again... now I want to have the soundtrack. I was humming the music all day & will have it in my head all night. Want to see if I can see it one more time before I fly home Friday...

I had a similar thing happen to me recently at Wal Mart. When we go, I usually push the cart with the little man in it and basically I'll go down one aisle while my wife goes down the one next to it so that we can grab things quickly and get out.

Anyway, I think I was in the soft drink aisle and had been uncomfortable for quite a while already. Nobody else was in the aisle so I did what I had to do. Just before I get to the end of the aisle a lady comes around the corner and seeing the baby in the cart, she wants to talk to him, ask how old he is, all that good stuff. I probably came off a bit rude, I answered her questions, but never really stopped, just kept moving. I wonder what she thought when she got a bit farther down the aisle... I'm just glad I didn't see her again.

HAHA! yeah... I was kidding. About the only thing I haven't done to a car yet is actually crack open the block and rebuilt an engine. I've rebuilt transmissions, replaced blown head gaskets, bodywork, etc... and it's a goal one day to rebuild an engine.

I'm thinking you're getting the better deal with the amusement park Christmas trimmings! This will be our first year for Christmas Town so not too sure what to expect. Sounds like fun though.

HAHA! yeah... I was kidding. About the only thing I haven't done to a car yet is actually crack open the block and rebuilt an engine. I've rebuilt transmissions, replaced blown head gaskets, bodywork, etc... and it's a goal one day to rebuild an engine.

I've found it's cheaper, easier and quicker just to pay somebody who knows what they're doing. I rebuilt a wrecked truck a couple of years ago. I thought it would be fun... it just resulted in frustration, cussing and hitting things with a sledge hammer (so I guess that part was fun).

I'm mechanically inclined enough to do maintenance and repairs. We're always working on something on the farm, so I'm good with tools when I need to use them, I just choose not to. I've never attempted to rebuild an engine or transmission. I've assisted in rebuilding an engine on a racing quad, and I love seeing how it all comes together, but I have no desire to attempt something like that on my own.

I hear ya... I've saved quite a bit of money by doing things on my own. My DW is always telling me how much she likes having her own mechanic/construction/computer guy. Oh... and I sew, too

I think that's the worst part, even more than the money side. It's so inconvenient to have to drop the car off for hours (or days), find an alternate ride, etc.

That's why I rebuilt the old truck... 93 Chevy, not worth anything in a trade anyway. Now with vehicles we have a pair and a spare.

Now we're talking... did you guys happen to see the Punkin Chunkin on Discovery Channel over Thanksgiving? Not too often that Delaware makes it onto national TV...with the Mythbusters in attendance, to boot.

I've got to say, the flood light sticking out a few feet from the cannon pointing back at it is the icing on the cake. Not worth having a pumpkin cannon if you can't see it shoot after dark.

Question for you Daddy-O's. My brother in law MAY go with us now. We found out to add to one of our rooms it will only be $534. However we made ALL of our ressies for dining at 180 days. Question is, will they let us add another person to our table when we check into dine or would he be SOL? Call Dining reservations and they cant add him.

How about a big maybe? I've heard that sometimes they can add a person, other times they won't. I've personally, never been in that situation before though. I'd definitely say it is worth a try though.

Sometimes, depending on the cast member, restaurant, etc. Check in about 15 minutes early for your ADR, and use your friendliest, nicest voice and see if they would be willing to add another to your table. We've done it a few times - even at Cindy's once. We got a scowl from the hostess, but she called up the the restaurant and they said we could, but the would put them at capacity.
Just be polite and remember, they are doing you a favor by allowing another person. You may also have to wait a bit longer for a bigger table. Where are the ADRs you're trying to add him to?
